DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR! We clashed with the owner Josh Malone because he would not provide an estimate for the 4 electrical projects we needed to be completed. We waited an additional 30 minutes past his 2 hour window. Besides being late, he wanted to examine our electrical panel under the auspices that he was doing a "thorough job." We didn't ask for a "thorough job." We only wanted him to change the light bulbs for 3 electrical fixtures that we could not change, and either replace the broken globe of a fixture or install a new fixture. We only needed an estimate, but Josh and his tech Justin began to remove the doors of our electrical panels instead. When Josh began to turn off certain electrical switches in the panel, he was told to stop before he flipped off the switches. At that moment, Josh got angry, threw up his hands, and told his employee to put the doors back onto the panels because they were out of here and he was not going to deal with people like us. He continued to utter inappropriate things as he began to leave our home about not returning, not dealing with us, hoping we could find someone as good as him, etc. He was rude, unprofessional, and still never gave us an estimate for the work we needed him to do. Finally, we were forced to order him off our property. He continued the disrespect and disdain against us as he left our property. It was so bad that I feel I would need to call the police if he ever returns. I filed a formal complaint against this company and recommended to Home Advisor that he be removed from their listing. Josh exhibited aggressive behavior with an attitude that made me feel that he didn't like us as customers because of our race. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!

He was able to connect the wiring and install the electrical box in the ceiling. Everything was done nicely and efficiently. It is working well.

The business I bought the hot tub from recommended Josh for the installation of electric. Josh was very informative about the process and was able to provide me with an estimate via e-mail based on my taking a few photos and measurements. Communication was excellent; however, we did have a and quot;mix-upand quot; in date of service. It seemed there was an issue with his e-mail account and the mistake was a technical issue and not a lack of communication from Josh. Being a good businessman Josh understood this communication mishap led to inconveniences for me and he took 10% off the total cost of the job. The work was clean, aesthetically pleasing and as the hot tub is working I assume the electrical was installed properly and professionally. Because of his professionalism and the quality of work I asked Josh for an estimate for another small project I would like completed.

I had reached out to quite a few electricians and most couldnt come out for 1-2 weeks. I had really wanted to get the hot tub wired as soon after delivery as possible. I called Malone Electrical Services around 6 pm Saturday and Josh called me back within an hour to talk about the job and his availability. I sent him some pics of my electrical panel and where the hot tub was being installed and he was able to give me an estimate based on that. Josh was able to come out early Wednesday morning the day after the hot tub was installed and even though it was raining he and Kenny were able to do the hookup for me. They were right on budget and completed the work in less than 2 hours. (Another estimate I had received was 700 more and I was told it was a full day job.) Josh came arrived on time (7:30 am) and did an awesome job. He and Kenny even hung a bicycle back up for me and moved my kayak back against the back wall in the garage. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with their professionalism, knowledge and easy going natures. I wholeheartedly would recommend. I have more electrical work to be done in my house, and I'm definitely calling Josh.

Josh Malone is an excellent electrician who really cares about his customers. He does it right the first time, and can find where others have gone wrong and fix their shoddy work. Do not be deterred by the apparent location of his business: we are in Bethesda, and he is happy to cover a wide area!

We recently purchased a Marquis Hot tub an was recommended by our sales person to Josh at Malone Electrical to do the electrical installation. Needless to say we were a bit apprehensive as we spent a small fortune on the hot tub itself. We came across Malone electrical on Angies list and saw their excellent reviews and decided to go with them. They were able to accommodate our needs on short notice and arrived promptly on the day of the installation. Josh was extremely professional and the installation took a little over three hours. The quality of service was impeccable. The wiring was done professionally and well hidden, they even dug underground in some places. Josh was very knowledgeable and he was even able to give me advice on my hot tub. I also felt comfortable asking him about some of the other projects I had in mind, which he answered in great detail. Once the job was complete there was no haggling or last minute charges. Not only did I find the job done to my complete satisfaction but I think I found an electrician for life! I highly recommend Malone electrical for hot tub installations as well as any other electrical projects you may have.

On short notice, Malone Electrical was able to come out to our home and replace a hot tub connection/circuit that was improperly installed by the previous homeowner. They coordinated their arrival with the delivery time of our hot tub and did not leave until everything was hooked up properly, tested, and cleaned up. They even helped the delivery men place the hot tub on an elevated portion of our deck! All-around great company, great service!!
