Fant's Tree Service did a terrific job for this homeowner here in the winter of 2022. I had a LARGE dead tree in a difficult setting to be removed, as well as another huge Oak that needed major trimming. Fant's came out promptly and looked over the situation, listened to all my concerns, and gave me a fair estimate. A couple weeks later they show up as scheduled with a full crew and a truly impressive state-of-the-art Spider-lift trimming lift. They communicated with me every step of the way to ensure all my issues were met. I would advise property owners to know that large tree removal is not cheap, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound (or maybe a TON) of cure. Also, scheduling and completing complex jobs like tree removal is not a simple matter (laborers plus machinery plus homeowners) so ya gotta be flexible. Fant's Tree Service opened up my sky in a professional manner. Would definetly recommend them.

This is the second time we've worked with Thomas Fant and his crew. This time we had them remove large trees that were leaning the wrong way too close to the house, mostly white oak. One was obviously dead. Another just needed trimmed to bring it back in balance. It seems the storms lately have had stronger winds than when those trees were much smaller, so we just wanted to make sure we eliminated as much risk as we could. The entire process, from initial phone call to estimate to job completion was prompt and professional. Some trees could be dropped, some had to be climbed, all the crew was impressive to watch! They also placed logs and chips where we wanted, and they did a great job of cleaning up when they were done. They are very well organized and efficient and charge a very fair price. We would definitely hire Fant's Tree Service again and recommend them without reservation.

The work they did was ok - but I have spent the last month trying to get them back. After many attempts, I finally got Mr. Fant to estimate the work. They called and scheduled for Friday PM, I should have known something would happen. They didn't call, but when I did 3 hours later, they said that storm damage for others had to be done first and they would call me back to reschedule. They did not call and no one answered in the office. I finally got someone who agreed to come this morning - but they called today and said that it was raining in Madison -sunny outside here and no rain forecasted ‘till later this afternoon. Communication is always a problem it seems. Disappointing service - I hope others have a better experience if they choose to try Fant. - they can be pretty frustrating to work with

They did a beautiful job! Our yard is a fair bit of work. They work extremely hard. We have been calling them out for about 7 years. Several people in my neighborhood use them too. They are good for high work and section the trees and lower them so there's no property damage. They do all their own removal. Their pricing is fair for what they do. We always schedule them in advance, but when we have emergency work they are out with 24 hours.

His equipment is first rate. He is excellent. I have used him for about 12 years.

Thomas Fant always gives a better price than competitors, the crew is responsive, professional and clean up so well, you won't even know they were on your property. We like doing business with small family run operations who take pride in their work, and these guys are the best!
