Description of Work: Michael came out to our home to help with problems on a new computer I purchased. This computer came with a lot of junk software that was causing problems with my connection to our network. He managed to remove the offending software and also helped get my security software installed. He also checked out our network and dealt with printer connection issues with our other laptop. Michael was very professional and gave us good advice regarding our network. He also returned the next day when the computer printing problem re surfaced and managed to get it working and it still is working fine.

+ -1 moreI had two dell computers. Both of the computers had been dropped and one would not start up. My hope was to repair the one that would not start up because it was a much more expensive computer with much better hardware. Micheal took both computers and examined the hardware. He was not able to get the XPS to start up. He suggested we take the larger hard dive and larger memory and move them over to the other Dell so that it would have better performance. This suited us well. In addition he ran a virus scan and removed 9 viruses. We have been using the computer with the larger hard drive and more memory for several days now and have noticed the leap in performance. All correspondence with dataman computer works was professional and timely.
Description of Work: Diagnosed two computers. Removed viruses. Took the desirable components, large hard drive and memory, and moved them over to the cheaper computer that was functioning.

+ -1 moreOur computer had stopped working. It froze up after the splash screen. Michael Brooks came out and looked at the problem and agreed that it was a big problem. He took the computer back to the shop with him to test various parts of the system. He kept me updated on his progress as he tested a variety of possible causes for the problem. He brought the computer back to me with his diagnosis of a mainboard failure. He suggested I contact the original manufacturer since the system was still under warrenty. He was very professional and also personable. He talked to me on my level of computer expertise (which is not novice) and during the first phone call he realized I was fairly knowledgeable so he didn't over-simplify things for me but he also didn't talk "above" me. I was extremely satisfied with the servce and can NOT reccommend this company highly enough! I intend to pass along the company info to anyone in the area with computer issues so they can also have a good computer repair company to fall back on.
Description of Work: Diagnostics of a computer issue. Both hardware and software were tested to find the problem.
