The work was awesome, I took pictures and I am willing to share for others to see how amazing job they did. I was very pleased with their service.

I ordered a full cord of wood for my wood burning insert. It took several calls to finalize and arrange delivery. I built my fire per usual and found the firewood almost impossible to start. The wood is heavy and dense and literally takes hours feeding the fire kindling to get it hot enough to burn on its own. I tried contacting the company for the better part of a week to work out a solution. My phone calls were ignored. Buyer BEWARE!

Very well. Cord of wood was neatly stacked where I had asked and the wood is all top quality aged for no less than a year. This is the third year we have ordered from Butler.

Delivery and stacking went off efficiently. They were pretty expensive, but given the time of the year, I didn't feel that I had much room to bargain (I should have called back in September). The cord doesn't look entirely full and there was a bunch of Poplar, which I don't consider hardwood. I'll remember next time to ask for oak.

Mr. Butler called and asked if me could deliver the cord a day early because of a family obligation. He and his helper arrived when they said they'd be there. They assembled my wood rack and filled it with wood and then split the remaining wood in two different piles under covered areas near our house. I will definitely call on Mr. Butler when I need wood again and recommend him highly. While the cord was a bit expensive, he came from Culpeper to Henrico and the service was worth it.

Was there on time in the am. Dumped the wood on the driveway (moved the basketball hoop so it wouldn't be hit). All in all they were in and out quickly and very professional. Haven't used the wood as of yet- have a supply from last year. But the wood seems like it will burn good- very dry.

They were more than accommodating, came on time, was very professional in demeanor. We discussed future landscaping plans and I was provided knowledge on certain plants in the yard. They responded immediately to all of my questions. I will do business in the future and look forward to it. I would recommend.

I contacted Butler's Tree Service Landscaping and Firewood on Friday 26 Sep 15 to get a price for firewood. I was quoted $375 and $25 for stacking. I asked about the Military Discount and was told that there was 10% discount. I was told they may be able to bring the wood out that same day and would call back around 12:30 p.m. I scheduled service based on this price and time; however I never received a call until later that evening. I was told that the wood could be delivered the next day. I spoke with the gentlemen twice more and confirmed a 9:30 a.m. delivery for Saturday 27 Sep 15. The gentlemen delivering the wood did not show up or call until after 12:00 p.m. and when he arrived he told my husband that he never said 10% he said $10 military discount. He then said that was still a bargain because he wasn't charging a delivery fee, which was never mentioned or agreed upon. The 10% discount was agreed upon. This business is deceptive and unreliable on scheduled delivery. I have not had a chance to burn any wood yet, so the quality has yet to be determined.

Mr. Butler delivered and stacked well-seasoned, properly-sized firewood. I was so pleased with the quality of the wood and his service that I ordered another 2 cords. I would highly recommend him.

No issues, Mr Butler brought helper and the pickup truck load of wood (full bed with high sidewalls) was stacked where requested in short order. Slightly more expensive than another service we used, but they didn't stack the wood just dumped it in the grass.

Elliot returned my call within 24 hours. I had contacted several -- some didn't have firewood available and some never returned my call. He offered an all oak cord or a hardwood mix cord. The price difference was small so I went with all oak. He was able to deliver on a Saturday -- some had not been -- much easier since then I could be there and wouldn't have to take off work. We agreed to a time. On the day of delivery -- he ended up being about an hour late -- a delivery prior to mine had turned into a more time consuming event because the client hadn't made access to the delivery site available. I would have preferred he call to say he would be late -- I called and left a message at both office and cell -- and he did call me back once they were on their way to my house. Seems reasonable to have not been able to answer phone since I'm sure he was stacking wood. Once they arrived -- they were swift and stacked the firewood for me -- very neatly. Elliot was pleasant and professional. He had an assistance with him that stayed in the driveway pulling the wood out of their truck. A little unsettling in that I could hear the assistant complaining and using profanity while he worked -- I think when Elliot was not within earshot. I could hear him from inside my house though. In spite of that I was pleased overall with the price, the delivery/stacking service, and my interactions with Elliot. I have had a little trouble burning the wood -- it does not readily burn the way the hardwood that you buy in the grocery store does. I leave room for the fact that it might be my fire building skills. It does smolder and water bubbles out the edges as it burns though.

I found Butler's Tree Service,Landscaping and Firewood on Angie's List. This was the second place I tried. The first never answered the phone or returned my calls. After a few frustrating days, I called Butler's. Elliott Butler returned my call within a minute, apologizing that he had just missed the call. He came the next day with the wood! He was running earlier than his estimated time from the day before and called me to let me know. He is very personable and professional. He had two young men with him. The three of them had the wood stacked very quickly. They even left some cedar kindling. The wood is beautifully split. It's a full cord. Even my husband is impressed! I will definitely use Elliott again. Thanks to Angie's List for a great find!

He was a very nice man. He was reasonably prompt. We engaged him on short notice because we needed the firewood. He was accommodating. One of the things we wanted was a specific length that would fit in the wood stove and he had something that was pretty darn close. My experience in feeding the stove is that while there are some pieces that are a little long most of it is exactly the size I need. So, it has worked out pretty well. This wasn't necessarily his fault because the ground was soft but he left big tire tracks in my yard. Other than that, he unloaded the wood and it was reasonably dry. It was mostly pretty hard wood, It is about half oak and about half other hard woods. He originally had given us a specified time, which was very good and we were waiting on him and then he was delayed for some reason. He was delayed a couple of hours, so we finally called him and he turned out to be within minutes of us at that point.

Superb service! I requested a cord of wood, delivered and stacked. Although I wasn't home when the delivery occurred, I got exactly what I was hoping for - the wood was excellent and my woodpile was stacked neatly and precisely. I will definitely use this service again and refer it to my friends.

VERY happy with the service provided by Butler's. They answered the phone on the first attempt, offered reasonable pricing, and delivered on the day they said they would deliver on. The amount of wood for the quote price was competitive. We haven't burned the wood yet, will do so very soon and will update the review accordingly. The icing on the cake for us what that they backed right up next to our wood rack in the back yard and dumped the wood a few feet from the rack, this allowed us to easily stack the wood. Previous companies would not dump there, which resulted in us loading wood into wheel barrel and moving the wood to the back yard to stack it. Thank you for saving us from back aches! If the wood burns as good as it looks, we'll definitely use again!

Elliott Butler promptly delivered oak firewood as arranged -- even though it was raining. He placed the firewood exactly where we requested in our driveway and charged a fair and reasonable price for his services. Delivery was free. I would use Butlers Tree Service again for firewood delivery.
