Net Cad Drafting

Brad was very prompt, professional, and fair priced. We consulted them to evaluate our home for a kitchen remodel. We had concerns about opening up a wall on our first floor, and if our basement structure would support this as well as if our second floor structures would be affected by opening the wall. He provided plans concerning what needed to be done and how to support a wall we wanted opened up, with specs, measurements, and weights. Our contractor was very pleased with the detailed plans. Very happy with Brad's service and would definitely use again in the future for further projects.

He seemed very professional and the price was great. he is however not an architect so I think his services are for drafting only.

Their drafting is basic, standard and fast so their product wasn't detailed enough for what I wanted. They were originally supposed to give me full drawings with structural advice because they are a structural engineering group. They only gave me a drawing of what the addition would look like. They were not very responsive when I was sending emails back and forth to correct any mistakes. Initially they were good. I stopped using them because I could draw better drawings myself. Their price was very reasonable if I didn't have experience at all using Cad. It was reasonable and affordable. The quality was okay. Initially their responsiveness was good. They were originally punctual and not punctual after the fact. They were late on sending me the drafts and then they were not responsive. I have since brushed up on my Cad skills so I won't need them.

This guy is an amazing engineer. He can design anything, in any style, whether it be an addition, entire home, business, including sunrooms and garages. He is very good at remodeling designs and his price is very reasonable. Having been a successful home builder in the past, he knows construction and building codes. Other builder's depend on his expertise and enjoy working with him. My requirements were very specific (e.g. all doors handicap accessible, first floor master). He came up with different designs for me to consider in laying out my floor plan to make it more efficient and save money. He was very patient with me considering this is the first house I have built. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel ignorant (although I was very ignorant about many architectural things such as finding the right parcel of land, soil reports, septic tanks, drain fields, drilled wells, and the whole health permit and building permit processes). If I had an idea he didn't think would work, he would show me why and find an alternative way to achieve what I wanted. I could take him pictures of things I liked (e.g. doors, outdoor trim, built-in bookshelves) and he would explain to me the process to incorporate them in the design, and could ball-park the majority of the costs, and give me alternate suggestions and ideas I would have never thought of. There is literally no wasted space as he designed my first floor rooms (i.e. study, dining, kitchen, master bed/bath, family room) to branch off the rotunda he placed in the middle of the house (including a plaster dome in the ceiling over an exquisite, yet affordable, wood floor medallion). It turned out better than I could have ever expected. He worked closely with my builder and provided advice and guidance to the subs when needed. Mr. Price was able to educate me on the building process, answer all my questions, and refer me to different businesses (e.g. Fergusons, Agri-Supply), highly experienced closing attorney (i.e. Michelle Ferris of Ferris and Ferris in Midlothian), and a survey company (i.e. Baseline in Petersburg). I was able to find the best deals thanks to his personal referrals and introductions. Thanks to Mr. Price, I now have a dream home more beautiful than I could have ever expected. His excellent work product, cool ideas, and extraordinary design skills significantly increased the appraisal of my home. I'm moving in with a significant amount of equity already on the books. The results were remarkable given the current state of the economy. Turns out it was cheaper for me to build a home with exactly what I need, rather than finding an existing home and remodeling it to meet my requirements. I highly recommend Mr. Price of Netcad Drafting, Inc. as a very experienced engineer with excellent people skills. I could not have made it through the difficult process of building a new home without his experience, assistance, patience and kindness. He is a true master when it comes to architectural design and building processes. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.
