The service went really well. The installers did a good job. We did not have any problems at all. We are very pleased with the job. It took about three days to install. Two workers came out, a man and his son. They were very friendly. They knew what they were doing.
Description of Work: We had carpets replaced.

i contacted the company by email and asked them to meet me on a saturday morning to quote replacing one room of carpet in a home i am trying to sell. i live in nc and this home is in colonial heights so i needed to meet on a weekend. lisa fee came out and measured and was on time and very knowledgeable about what i was trying to do. she sent me a quote on email and i asked her to reuse the padding that i already had and she was more than happy to oblige. she didn't try to upsell me on something i didn't need. i had another contractor coming to do work and the realtor was going to be around to open the door and lisa came out with two days notice so that i didn't have to drive up from nc to let her in. she had the carpet in stock and was able to meet a tight deadline. she removed and disposed of the old carpet and put the new in quickly and efficiently. the job looks great and i am very satisfied.

I'm satisfied. They've not yet finished the job.
Description of Work: I'm using Colonial Carpet One Floor & Home to install laminate flooring and carpet.
Colonial Carpet One Floor and Home is a franchise, which is locally owned and operated. They did the job on time. They showed up on time. They did the exact job and finished within the day. I was completely satisfied. I will probably use them again if ever need flooring done. I lived over thirty years in the Washington DC area where the prices are much more expensive. So when I come down here, to Colonial Heights, which is my own town, twenty miles away, south of Washington DC, everything seems reasonable to me. It is because of the lower cost of living in Colonial Heights. I could afford it. I don't know how to judge price. I guess it is competitive. However, but since it is the only company I have dealt with, I have nothing to compare with. The quality of work was excellent. They are very responsive. They are always on time. They are very professional.
Description of Work: I used Colonial Carpet One Floor & Home about three or four years ago. They removed some old carpeting in a covered patio. They replaced it with a vinyl-flooring product.
Carpet One wasn't aware that the first carpet ordered wasn't available. Had to go back and pick another brand and slightly different color. Carpet One did give an upgrade of carpet at the same price as the first carpet. The subcontractor for installing the hardwood floors contacted Carpet One at the last moment to say they wouldn't be able to start installment on the day they were scheduled. There was a two day delay. The installation took longer than contracted for and both the carpet installation and the wood contractors were working in the house. We rated the project high because after all of the delays and change in schedule the outcome is beautiful and the work is extremely high quality.
Description of Work: Hard wood floors loft, upstairs hall, stairs, down stairs hall. Carpet replaced in family room and bedroom.

We LOVE these people ! A quasi-open floor plan had me pulling my hair out as we began our campaign to eliminate ten years of bad taste in our recently-purchased new home. Consistency was important in order to preserve the visuals. I stood Lori in our foyer and said "help !!!" Lori and her team took us through the process from start to finish and helped us convert a house full of hideous sculpted berber and unimaginative vinyl surfaces into a home with gorgeous flooring. The flooring installers are an incredibly hard-working bunch of people. The carpet guys made ugly carpet disappear and left beautifully-installed plush carpet in their wake. The day the carpet installers finished, the Carpet One truck showed up with the new Mission Leaf area rug I had wanted for the dining room. Lori had conspired with my spouse to order in the rug and modify it with their edge-binding capability so it would fit into that space. The vinyl mechanics undertook the equally-long awaited transformation of the creaky kitchen floor. Two layers of luan and old vinyl had to be pulled up to make way for the new flooring. Black mold was discovered by the atrium doors as the old floor came up but the installers didn't even blink. The moldy areas were cut out, bracing installed, new subfloor installed and the parade continued. By the time they finished, we had a gorgeous new, solid, QUIET floor. We are incredibly pleased and absolutely love working with the Colonial Carpet One team. I'll be returning there soon to pick out the splash tile for the wall behind the cook top so I'll be posting again when that is complete.
Description of Work: New pile carpet and vinyl flooring for our 2700 sf home to include all hallways, closets and main staircase.
