+ -1 moreMid-morning I called and left a message, which was returned within 30 minutes. Bob was able to fit me in the same day, either late morning or early afternoon and that he could call before leaving the previous appointment. As promised he called shortly after lunch to tell me he would arrive in about 20 minutes, which he did. He promptly set to assessing the dryer. As I have some general knowledge about dryer operations and the likely failure points (but not the time or equipment to assess), I could tell he was methodical in checking the right things first. He quickly identified and replaced the failed switch, and checked to make sure it was working. Bob was prompt, thorough, and professional. I definitely recommend Skyline Appliance Service.
Description of Work: Our clothes dryer quit working. After checking the circuit breaker, plug, etc., it was apparent that something had malfunctioned in the dryer itself.

+ -1 moreBob was a total professional, said what he would do, did what he said, and completed all work on his promised schedule. This is the type of service experience that sets the standard. I was totally satisfied.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and fixed dryer squeak. Our 2006 GE front load dryer began squeezing loudly a month or two ago, I entertained the idea of buying and installing a $50 rear drum bearing kit myself. After describing the symptoms to Bob I was immediately impressed with his knowledge of the other more likely causes of the squeak; I decided to hire him to do the repair. He took note over the phone of the dryer model number so that he could bring all possible replacement parts to the house the following day. Upon arrival Bob was able to diagnose the primary cause of the squeak as the front drum bearing; within an hour he had replaced the worn part, and he had replaced a couple of other parts that were well along in wearing out (belt, drum glide, and rear drum bearing.

Description of Work: Refrigerator was not cycling on/off. Called Skyline Appliance and he came out that day. Replaced defrost timer and problem solved. Very pleased, will definitely use again.

Description of Work: I explained my problem to the person on the phone, he said he had heard of this type of problem with a Maytag washer, he was going to look on the internet and call me back. He did call me back, he stated it did not show symptons as I had,he was going on vacation shortly and suggested I call someone else, one of which was an individual and he did not have a number to call him. I am not positive of the actual date I called him. He was very nice talking on the phone.

+ -1 moreI left a message for a callback and got a timely response (as opposed to another company who never bothered to call back). He helped me do a little trouble shooting over the phone to determine if this might be a repairable problem, checked the model # of the dryer to get information, etc. We determined it might be worth a visit. He was prompt, professional, and fair in his price. He answered questions I had patiently. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.
Description of Work: Ascertained that the dryer had some burnt wiring. He repaired that so that the dryer worked.
