Description of Work: We contacted Blue Ridge Plumbing after seeing them listed on Angies List. We were having problems with a toilet that I could not resolve and due to a busy work travel scheudle, was unable to complted. Craig had to come on a day I was out of state and was very professional according to my wife. He pointed out the options (including our cheapest options on replacement of some fixtures/faucets) rather than just trying to make money off our situation. My wife was most impressed with how he handled himself. I have some other plubming issues related to the type/guage of pipe used in our plumbing and will have Blue Ridge Plumbing come out and help us with this. A very positive experience.

+ -1 moreBlue Ridge Plumbing didn't do such a great job. He told me that the shower that was dripping couldn't be fixed because of the way it was installed and somebody came and it has been fixed, so that was the problem. In the long run, I wasn't that satisfied with him.
Description of Work: I had a visit from them because of a shower that was dripping.

Description of Work: Installed a commode in a half bath built in the 50's. Not an easy task in a very small bathroom. We were extremely pleased with the work and the professional way everything was completed.

+ -1 moreBlue Ridge Plumbing was punctual,courteous and quick. The shower head was able to be fixed without making the hole bigger around the shower head pipe. He checked everything out and said the rest of the parts were OK. Good to know. I would definitely use them again and would not hestitate to recommend them.
Description of Work: Our shower head fell off and the pipe to attach it back on was inside the wall. It was reattached within a few minutes with no mess:) We were not sure if the wall would need to be cut into to make the hole bigger in order to do the work required.

+ -1 moreVery responsive, helpful, and honest, Blue Ridge Plumbing was a great find and a real asset. The job had a number of complicators, including an older home with some outdated fixtures, distance (I am in northern Virginia and the job site is in southwest Virginia), and work was needed over the holidays. Craig established trust very quickly with his approach, followed through perfectly with the day of service and also provide helpful and needed recommendations for additional work (electrical) that needed to be done. I would recommend him highly and without reservation. .
Description of Work: Purchased a new washing machine for Christmas and needed to have it installed/connected. Company that we bought the washing machine from tried to install it, but could not due to older fixtures in the home that needed to be replaced. Blue Ridge was the second company I called from Angie's List, and the first to respond. On the day of the appointment, Blue Ridge successfully made the repairs needed to install the washing machine and also provided some critical advice on additional electrical service needed, and gave me a local recommendation. All of this was handled remotely as I was not able to be on site for the work.

+ -1 moreCraig showed up when promised and did an excellent job. He was courteous and professional, and quickly did the needed toilet installation. He examined our water hydrant and, due to its age, was unable to get repair parts. A replacement would be quite expensive ($700) so he appropriately advised us to live with the modest leakage rather than repairing it at this time. One note on the Angie's website that is not correct: he does not offer a 10% discount for mentioning Angies's list (in fact, he said he never did and didn't knoww where that info came from).
Description of Work: Replaced toilet and provided estimate to repair water hydrant.

+ -1 moreCraig showed up on time looked at the problem and proceeded to fix it. He was in and out in about an hour and informed us that the bathroom floor had been raised. several inches, something we did not know. We will call Craig in the future for all plumbing needs. The plumber we had used in the past 2 years (moved in in 2008) was slow to respond to calls and usually busy with commercial jobs.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the seal between the toliet and the floor in the upstairs bath. Craig was out 2 days after the call and was here at the scheduled time. He also looked at a leaky faucet and advised that to repair it would mean having to replace the entire fixture as it is quite old. (House built in 1948). He later sent an estimate per our request on the faucet repair.

+ -1 moreCraig came over and did a free estimate for us - he was very laid back about it and even had some additional options for how we could do our project. After he gave us the estimate (which was half the price another company had given us), we set up an appointment for him to come and get the job done. He was able to get here within a week! I wasn't home when Craig came to move the sink line, but my husband was and said that Craig did an excellent job. I will call Craig again in the future for any further plumbing jobs that come up!
Description of Work: We had a copper bathroom sink line that we wanted moved to another wall.

+ -1 moreCraig was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have had several bad experiences with contractors in the past but our dealings with Blue Ridge Plumbing were a pleasant exception. Our home had come with drain and water pipes installed for an extra bathroom but we had never thought to use them. BRP completed installation of necessary fittings and valves and installed fixtures we had supplied. A professional job at a fair price, we don't know why we had not done this sooner.
Description of Work: BRP completed rough-in and installation of fixtures in downstairs bathroom. I am being transferred and am listing my home on the market. An extra bathroom will be an added selling point.
