Lions Fence

There were delays starting the work, when they came they installed the new fence quickly. After about a year one portion of the fence had fallen and I found that the rails that fell had only held up by a single nail. I emailed and spoke with Lions Fence by phone over weeks and months. Many promises were made but with no result. No one ever came out. I am so disappointed. So, they did not do the job right the first time, they did not stand behind their work, and then I could not believe what they told me by email or phone. Ugh!!

Very well and small issues that have come up have been resolved quickly and to our satisfaction.

Went well overall, had a small problem understanding the guys putting up the fence. Due to that, the gate was too high and my dog could get out. Called the owner twice to rectify the problem but my calls were never returned.

Talked to six fencing people in the end but glad I landed on Lions. Was first going with well-reviewed company closer, and then when they were hard to reach and get on site I went with a "cedar expert" in fencing. A lot of quotes later was getting frustrated. Lions didn't try to push me to different wood or plank sizes based on their inventory (two others did) but gave me their best estimate based on what I wanted. I didn't have the responsiveness issues others had; Richard didn't always answer right away but got back to me the same day and was on time for his appointments. A cold snap (weather) delayed the actual installation by a day - they were late in wrapping the previous job, but since I wasn't in a hurry it was no problem. Lions could have let me know the day before (my only complaint) I took off work. However, once on site, he'd added a +1 to his team to ensure the work got done on schedule, and his foreman (Walter) made sure the work was done right. Walter actually came back the next day on his own to power was the trellis which he thought was dirty but I wouldn't have seen. I would definitely hire again and recommend. The price is for STK cedar (not clear) and other preferences of mine also affected the price per linear foot, but you can trust Richard to give you a good deal. I would ensure at time of estimate to confirm how deep the post holes go and ask for more proactive notice in the event of delay, but otherwise the price and quality are superb.

I really cannot share enough good words about my experiences with Lion's Fence. Richard, the owner, is very responsive. Both jobs were done quickly and impressively. Both times neighbors not only came out to admire the work, but also to compliment and ask after who did it. His crews are professional, courteous, and clean. It was great on-site, day-of communication on both jobs. The pricing is highly competitive. Between the cost, skill, transparency, and communication factors, you will be exceedingly hard-pressed to find a better value.

Contacted Mr. Leitch about providing an estimate to replace our existing fence. He promptly scheduled an appointment and came out to review the job at the agreed upon time. After that, we never heard another word from him. After several weeks I called and left him a message asking where the promised estimate was and asking him to please let us know if he had no interest in the job. Still never heard anything from him. Obviously, don’t recommend this company!

Had a few scheduling issues for the estimate. In the end it got done and i wasnt in a hurry so no issues from my perspective. Understand though the the responsiveness isn't very good. Hard to beat his price though, the fence looks great and works well. Only had one issue post install i called them a few times and left a few voicemails to get help to fix it (gate wasn't latching properly) he never called back. I fixed it on my own.

Richard was terrific and very responsive. I was most concerned about damaging plants and they were careful and respectful of my needs.

The installers were very professional, worked fast, and did a great job of cleanup after the installation. The fence looks great, and the dogs love their new yard.

The crew arrived at almost exactly the minute we were told to expect them. Half of the fencing had to be installed in very close quarters; they did a great job of squeezing it in and keeping it inside our property line. Our backyard is almost completely landscaped. They were very careful and did not damage any plants. They did an excellent job of clean up. They left no sign of construction in my yard other than the completed fence.

Richard and his crew were top notch from start to finish. Their estimate was 25% lower than the 2 other estimates we received for the work and there was absolutely no sacrifice on quality, promptness or responsiveness. Highly recommend working with these folks.

Lions fencing provided quality service and excellent craftsmanship. Their price was $1000-$1500 below their competitors. The fence is beautiful. They installed the fence within one week. The installation took about 5 hours.

From start to finish Lions Fence did a great job and was a real pleasure with which to work.. Richard arrived friendly, professional and early for our first appointment. He took measurements of the backyard, explained the process, answered all our questions and gave us an estimate the same day. Richard arrived with his crew on the scheduled day of installation. I contacted Richard from Lions Fence as he originally placed my privacy fence over 15 years ago. The fence has been such a blessing both for privacy and for the many family dogs we have had who enjoyed the freedom of roaming the 1/2 acre yard. Due to water damage from a flooded back yard, a large Oak tree limb, and the recent snow, I had a few sections of this fence go down. This caused a problem for the family dog who now had to stay in for long periods of time as I work at a hospital in DC. Richard quickly responded! He gave me a great price on repairs and he promptly came out and got the fence back up and good as new. I still remember Lions building my fence over 15 years ago. The craftsmanship was grand and the product strong. I have done absolutely nothing to maintain this fence since it went up. It was a great investment. This is the first problem that I have had with my fencing and it was caused by other extreme factors. I expect it will be another 15 years before I need to call Richard again. When the fence section went down my neighbor called a couple local companies out and got quotes on the repair for me. I told him I really preferred the company that built the fence because I knew they were good and did quality work. Lions quote for the same repairs turned out to be half that of the other two larger companies. I would highly recommend Lion's Fence. Richard provides a very professional service at a very competitive price! He is a pleasure to deal with and I would not use anyone else for fencing.

I cannot say enough great things about Lions. Richard was great to work with and the crew led by Ronald were professional, punctual, and thorough. Richard accommodated my request to install the fence VERY quickly (same week) and it looks fantastic. As it turns out, Lions did all our neighbors fences as well. We all highly recommend them.

My split rail fence is 7 years old, and some of the post are rotting and 3 of my gates were in need of repair. Richard came-out and gave me an estimate to dig-out and replace 8 posts, build a new double gate, repair 1 double gate and 1 single gate. Once I gave Richard the ok, his crew came-out and finished the work very quickly and cleaned up.

Richard came to our home and gave us an estimate for the work (the estimate was almost half of our previous quote for the same fence with one less gate). We booked a day and his workers came to install the fence. His workers (Gary and his dad) were friendly and professional. They completed the work the same day and cleaned up any debris afterward. Our new fence is absolutely beautiful and the gates all close with the touch of a finger. We are very pleased with our experience with Lions Fence and would recommend them without reservation.

Richard and I went back and forth a few times before we could find a time to meet but he was promptly responsive each time I e-mailed him. He showed up on time for the estimate and sent me the bid that night. The price was slightly less than other estimates I'd received. We scheduled the install for the following week and they showed up on time ready to go to work. They installed a 4' picket fence around two sides of my yard in 6-7 hours. I hadn't planned for a gate but decided while they were there that I wanted one. They accommodated me without any hesitation and charged me just a little more for the change. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Richard came over and gave me a price to replace some post and rails on my split rail fence. He was very nice to deal with. He had the lowest price of my 3 estimates. On the day the work was to be done, Richard and his crew came over right on time. Richard carefully went over with his crew what work needed to be done. They did the whole job in just under 4 hours. They did a wonderful job.

They were responsive in their estimate, and flexible as well. They were not the cheapest estimate, but they were the most thoughtful in how they could provide a fence to meet our needs. They reviewed our property line plats and identified a way to install the fence that navigated trees near the property line with minimal impact. It was appreciated by us as well as by our neighbors. There were a few weather-related delays after we signed the contract, and we had a good week in the house with no fence. But they were responsive as soon as the weather cleared, and we had a fence with a 2-day estimate completed in one day. Note: They did have to trim some brush and small trees in order to install the fence. This they left in the center of the yard. However, I'm pleased with the work on the fence itself, and the efforts they took to make a minimal impact to our new neighbors.

It was great - estimate was quick and lowest price we received. The Owner arrived on the morning of construction with his crew to go over the project with us, select final details (gate design, etc.) and made sure the work was underway before leaving the project in the hands of the crew to complete. The crew was extremely efficient and completed the work in record time. The fence looks great and has held up well since installed. We would not hesitate to recommend Lions Fence or to hire them again.

Richard was the easiest to work with of the three estimates that I received. He is the owner of the company and comes out to provide the estimate and supervise the work. He worked with me through the HOA requirements and the time it took to get everything approved which was several months. I would use Lions Fence again.

From the beginning, Richard was very helpful in his recommendations. We contacted at a few different companies for quotes and he by far had the best customer service. He had a portfolio of options and emailed additional photo examples as well. While none of the companies we contacted could do a more contemporary fence style we initially wanted, Richard was the most willing to try to find something we would like. On the day the work started, Richard and his team arrived promptly. They immediately went to work and removed the old chain link fence, put up about 260 ft of new wooden board-on-board fence with 1 single gate and 1 double-gate, with lattice top on the front-facing sections - all within one day. We thought it would take at least two days. We were very pleased with his work, professionalism, patience and attentiveness. Six months later and we've had no issues with our fence. We're on a busy street and have received lots of compliments on the fence. We would definitely recommend him.
