Description of Work: Mills Associated Arborists did some much needed high branch trimming on an old hickory tree and two old apple trees in my yard. They were punctual, professional, and they cleaned everything up after they were done. I was /extremely/ pleased with their services and I would happily recommend them to anyone. Lance (the owner) communicated with me throughout the quote process was a pleasure to work with. Oh, and my trees look great!

 + -1 moreProvider arrived on time, was very professional, provided more than one hour of discussion/information on what to do to maximie tree health. Major issue was what to do about tree with obvious health issues, and after careful examination, arborist advised it should be cut down. Other trees were discussed, and after examining trees, arborist gave information on each and recommendations on each.
Description of Work: Provider examined various trees and recommended actions to take with regard to each one.

Lance showed up when he said to provide an estimate and was easy to work with on scheduling the actual service. Everything was performed according to the estimate and they cleaned up the brush nicely.

 + -1 moreOn 11/25 I (tried to) take advantage of a special deal you were running for a visit by an arborist. $75.00 was deducted from my bank account instantaneously. (Date money taken out of my account was 11/25.) I was asked to choose 3 days that were convenient for these visits. I wasn't contacted until after the first date was passed and we were through the second day I chose, rendering that day out as well. We spoke and he was to call back on Tuesday this week (12/01) but I never heard back from him. I respectfully would like a refund of my $75.00. I'm sure he is a very capable man but with Christmas and all, this is not going to happen until after winter now, which renders advice about pruning useless.

 + -1 moreI wanted to know whether I really needed to remove a tree in my front yard or not. I knew from the reviews on this site that Lance would tell me the truth. It really did need removal in my case because it had invasive roots, was planted only a few feet from my basement, and was going to grow to at least three times it's size. Lance could tell me all this with one glance. I wish builders wouldn't put in trees that only need to be removed later. I hated to have to have it cut down.

 + -1 moreThey were great I've using them for years. Lance is great and easy to work with. He gives you an estimate first. He will not cut down trees because the tree needs to be diseased for him to cut it down. He says his job is to keep the trees alive and that one of the reasons why I went with him. He listens to his customer. He works with you. He is prompt. He is also very personable. He did the job that I wanted and by the time he got done it was exactly what I wanted. He works with you but he wont cut down trees because he works on keeping them alive.
Description of Work: They pruned back a big sycamore and maple tree. They used a cherry picker and the tree is over 100 years old.

 + -1 moreWe recently purchased an 80 year old house that had been a rental for the last 30 years. The yard (at approx. 2/3 acre) was home to several large trees that were well past their prime and a large number of "volunteers" that had grown unchecked over the years. Working with Mr. Moore went well from start to finish. He walked the property with us, answered our questions and advised which trees he thought should be removed and which he thought were worth keeping. He provided an itemized proposal for the work agreed upon and, since it was a substantial amount of work, offered to do it in phases. He and his assistant showed up when he said they would and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time with minimal disruption. We will definitely use his services again.
Description of Work: Removed several trees (small and large), ground their stumps and trimmed several bushes.

 + -1 moreI use them all the time, and they are fabulous. I have big trees in my yard and Lance Moore, who is the owner of the company, takes care of the trees. He is competitively priced. A number of the people who have trees services in the area, are eager to cut down the tree, but Lance loves trees and he will try and save the tree. He is just a really nice guy, he does what he says he is going to do, he gives and estimate and sticks with the estimate and he comes when he says he is going to come.
Description of Work: I use Mills Associated Arborists. They do the pruning of my trees.

 + -1 moreWe had three estimates to remove a large tree located too close to our home/driveway. Mr. Mills came recommended from the folks we purchase trees from - and we respect these people's opinion. Mr. Mills' quote was slightly less than the other ones, but we went with him due to the recommendation of the Nursery; not based quoted price as we would pay more for a difficult job to be done well. Mr. Mills came when he said, performed the job as promised, and cleaned up as quoted. Our neighbors asked if he would do work in their yard the next day and were also very happy with his work and his polite/professional attitude. We will definately have him back for more work in the future.
Description of Work: We had three trees cut. One tree was located literally inches from a deck on the upper level of our house and next to the driveway. The tree was dying due to the location; as it had outgrown the area for its root system. The location of this tree made removal tricky and all three tree service providers commented about the danger to our property and difficulty in doing this removal. Mr. Mills did an excellent job in cutting the tree (piece by piece and lowering it) with no damage to our home, driveway, or established landscaping. He also had to "bucket" a second very large tree located among several pines and planted between my driveway and our neighbors' driveway. Again, his work was difficult and he did it "perfectly". The third tree just needed cut and not completely removed. Mr. Mills felled the tree in the ideal spot and did extra cutting to make sure it was left in a safe way for further work done later. Great job on all three trees.
