Winkler's Landscape

We've used Winkler's services through the summer and into this fall. This is my mom's house and she is very particular, hard to please. Trust me. I am extremely appreciative of Winkler's consistent effort to take care of her. They have always been willing to go the extra mile, are very communicative and take criticism well. If I lived in the area they would be taking care of my yard.

We've used them before. Price rating - I don’t have anything to compare it with. He was on time. I think he is fair in line with the price with the other people. I didn’t deal with him. They were pretty fast with the aerating. Other than they they came and visit and took care of what we needed to. The communication was pretty good. There was nothing that I disliked about the company.

We were under a tight deadline and Winkler's was very accommodating!

I had used WInkler's Landscaping before and felt very comfortable so I called again for a service needed. I can't tell you how pleased I was about the price and the job that was done. I had my bushes across the front of the house trimmed and debris removed. The gentleman that gave me the quote and completed the work so just the BEST. I love the work he did and he was so professional and kind. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone. It's not that often that you can find a great connect with a service like this and I want to thank Winkler's Landscaping for a job well done.

Rob Winkler is a reliable and diligent contractor. He responds to all inquiries for work. He is prompt to review the work to be done. He provides a reasonable estimate and describes the best procedure for accomplishing work to be done. He and his people are timely and hard working. His results are excellent. I recommend his company for anyone with yard and landscaping work to be done.

Went well. New grass growing in most areas of yard. Pleased.

After receiving a flyer from Winkler's Landscape at my residence. I attempted to contact them via e-mail on 10/3/16 to obtain a quote and ask a few questions. After receiving no response, I sent another e-mail on 10/5/16 asking if "Winkler's Landscape was interested in providing a quote" . Again after receiving no response, I called the number on the flyer on 10/7/16 and left a voicemail message still trying to seek a quote. On 10/8/16, after no response to voicemail message, a decision was made to move on and contact a company that would be more responsive. This company solicited us with their flyer and I made a reasonable attempt have the company earn our business. It would have been fine if the company simply responded to the e-mails and said they were not interested or too busy to accept additional business at this time.

They did an outstanding job. In a couple of hours they knocked out a job that would have taken my husband and I most of the day if not the weekend to get done. They removed all of the leaves/debris and spread a thick layer of mulch over the front beds. Even the neighbors marveled at what a great job they did within a very short amount of time. Now we can move on to the more enjoyable parts of having a yard while our neighbors are still trying to clean out their beds and get their mulching done.

They did a nice job. I will use them again.

Winkler's landscape service went great. They cleaned all the fallen limbs and leaves hauling them away. Also they mowed the lawn, even though it didn't need. They just wanted to put the track lines in the lawn made by the lawn mower. Yard looks great!

They showed up when the said they would and completed the work quickly and did a great job. The two gentlemen were very nice and professional and worked hard. I will probably use them on a regular basis to cut and weed my lawn. I highly recommend.

2nd year I've used Winkler's Landscaping for core aeration.They did a great job at a very reasonable price - the best and most thorough aeration that I've ever had done. In addition, great communication via text, on scheduling, and necessary delays due to heavy rains. Will definitely plan to use for aeration next year, and for any other needed yard / landscape services.

The provider had to make multiple trips to the house. He waited until the yard was dry enough to handle any equipment which was nice to see that he cared enough to not dig up the yard but just cut it.

Thorough aeration with multiple passes, seeding, and fertilizing 10 months ago. Advised on areas where seeding may not be beneficial due to poor soil foundation and stones, then shifting this seeding to other more beneficial areas. Grass has sprouted in the areas where it never did. Pruning 10 months later this summer really improved the landscaping and curb appeal..nice. Took about 4 hrs. They hauled away a huge chunk of debris. Overall a great job. Will use them again.

The company responded immediately, gave me a quoe within 24 hours and worked with me on a date that worked for my schedule within a week's period of time. The landscaper that came to my house was fabulous...very professional, kind and did a wonderful job. I do recommend this company to anyone needing assistance with landscaping, bush/tree trimming or work of that nature. Thank you!!!

They were prompt and worked the entire time they were here. I was very pleased with their service and will use them again.

I had told the scheduler that edging of flower beds is what I expected them to do. When they showed up, though, they did not have an edger with them, just shovels and a weedeater. They also didn't bring a wheelbarrow with them. I told them that this was kind of like showing up to cut down a tree and only bringing a hand saw, as I could have used a weedeater myself. They apologized for the disconnect and because of this, they added an extra 45 minutes of time at no charge. This allowed them to get the edging done that I expected using the shovel. Because they made the situation right, I went ahead and hired them to deliver the mulch a couple of weeks later. In the end, I'm satisfied with the work that they did. But because of the mixup and how it went down, I'm not sure I would use them in the future.

Arrived as scheduled and after brief explanation of work needed went right to work. Everything was done as requested PLUS blew leaves from yard and driveway. Cleaned up all clippings.

It was fine. They did an okay job but not great.

Excellent work, very through and complete aeration of the entire property. I have used this company for many years and find them friendly, competent and very easy to work with.

Great company to work with. Contacted immediately when I called and left message. Came on the day that they indicated so the yard was prepared for them. Did a very good job on the aeration, seeding and fertilization. Only minor glitch was the seed was not laid down along the edges -- I assume they were using a rotary spreader and not a drop spreader. Not a big deal as I just put a little extra seed down with a drop spreader Overall - I would use them again

First time buying an lawn aeration service via Angie's List coupons. Read the positive reviews with Winkler's Landscape and contacted them via the AL's messaging process and gave them my date options. Positive: They immediately responded and said they would put me on their schedule and get back to me when the day approaches to finalize any last minute details. Used tractor pulled aeration plug roller to pull out lots of plugs! Never seen so many plugs before. Great for promoting grass growth next spring! Overseeded without spreading on plant beds! Gentlemen working the lawn were professional and pleasant to speak with. Negative: As the day approached, I didn't hear from them and called their main number and left a message. Turned out their email system was on the fritz and they hadn't seen my emails nor communication asking for some specifics on time of arrival. Summary: No harm for the shorted communication, the work got done on the date requested and my plant beds will not have little grass growing out of them next year! Fully expect my lawn to be in terrific shape for 2015. Would recommend this service every time Winkler's offers it. Not need to spend more elsewhere. The amount of plugs that were pulled out of the ground was worth the money charge.

We had a fantastic experience working with Winkler's and would use them again as well as recommend them in a heartbeat. Their responsiveness is unmatched for us, as new customers and people who are new to RVA. We took advantage of their 2 hour coupon offer and were thrilled with the gutter cleaning services for our two-story home. They also returned to max out every minute of the time left on our deal and transplanted two young trees for us, which was essential for our backyard. We received expert advice and a consultation, too. Fantastic experience all around!
