Terrible experience
Description of Work: Scratched furniture, didn't do all that was promised, not enough workers. Tracked in oil on the carpet. Contacted the owner about the damage, he was confrontational and denied damage. Contacted the BBB.....it was a joke.

Our company made arrangements with you to review your claim and to settle within 30 days on a valid claim. You did not want anyone to enter your home to review alleged damages, but rather pay you $7,000. without any investigation of any sorts. Because your lack of cooperation to determine that a claim exist, The Office of Attorney General nor the BBB was able to assist you. It is against the law to file a false claim.

Description of Work: Loved working with this local moving company. Found a great deal on Angie's List a few months ago. The company called to make sure the move was scheduled when I needed it. They communicated via telephone and email and were extremely professional. They guys that actually moved us were careful and responsive to our needs, we will definitely recommend and use them again.

Description of Work: They delivered boxes packed by another company. This company did a fair job. They were quick to shove papers in my face once the boxes were unloaded. The guy begged me to decline the unpacking service and then informed me that I have 72 hours to unpack myself. This was news to me because it was a government move and we didn't receive any of the billing or service paperwork until after signing.

Description of Work: 2-men and a truck for three hours. Things went well but we needed to use them for an additional 4 1/2 hours costing $640 which I thought was more than I expected. Neither mover stated what the cost per hour would be up front. Nevertheless, they did a good job overall.

Description of Work: Moved us from Toano VA to Richmond VA, about a 45 minute drive. Administrative upfront work was OK but when they didn't come out for a hands-on estimate we were worried. The loading went ok but as they were unloading it began to rain hard and boxes marked for basement & attic stayed in the garage. Boxes were handled roughly, resulting in breakage not discovered until much later. Minor damage to furniture. At one point I heard a worker say this was his first time doing this type of work!

There was a move on the day you listed, in the same location, but the name does not match yours. Whoever signed the paperwork listed our service as "excellent" and checked yes to using our service again, recommending us to others, and allowing us to use them as a reference. They even went so far as to write in the comments section "great crew, polite, enthusiastic, and agreeable." Description of Work: Quality Movers moved my household furniture from my home in Goochland Va to a storage facility in Marion Va. Vincent Tucker was in charge and came by the night before the move to verify house contents and give me a final flat price, which was very competitive with other estimates. He helped and supervised Robert, Anthony and Joel as they packed and loaded my belongings. I have never seen such care taken in the process of packing. Robert, Anthony and Joel drove the truck and unloaded it into the storage unit. They were all very polite and professional in their attitude. They seemed to take great care and interest in their job and did a great job stacking all my belongings into the storage unit. I would highly recommend them to anyone facing a move.

Description of Work: Great crew! We had a challenging move as we were combining households and moving into one house. They worked their tails off for 14 hours - never slowed or took a break. Very careful with furniture as well as new walls :) Would hire again in a heartbeat but hope to never move AGAIN!

Description of Work: I didn't have an opportunity to use them because they transferred me to another service the day before my move. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with that company (showed up six hours late after stating several times that they'd only be an hour to hour-and-a-half late). If you work with this company, ensure they're the ones that will show up.

Excellent job by professional movers.
Description of Work: 4 very courteous and professional workers plus one 24' truck and one panel truck. They all worked hard the entire five and a half hours. We were extremely pleased. They moved all of our furniture and lots of our boxes, with no damage at all. They worked fast and yet were very careful. It was a short-range move, and they did it efficiently.

It went very very well. We had just purchased our first home and were moving into it. The gentlemen arrived right on time, they were quick, yet careful, they were very professional and just downright nice. The price was great, but what impressed us even more is that after they took the first load (which we thought would be the only one), we realized that we still had too many items left. Both my wife and I were burned out from the move and just didn't have the strength to load up a Uhaul truck and unload it. Now we were up against the clock on exiting our rented home. We called Quality Moving and they arranged to return in just two days! Once again, the men arrived right on time and quickly loaded and unloaded the goods. The move took quite a toll on my wife and had Quality Moving not been able to return so quickly, we would have been in a real bad way. We are grateful to Quality Moving for their flexibility and highly recommend them to our fellow Angie's List members (don't let the Chester address throw you off). Our experience is they will be there when they say they will.
Description of Work: The movers came and picked up our boxed belongings and furniture, transporting them to our new location just five miles away on two different occasions.
