Once the project was completed, there were some issues with the grout work in the shower. The grout was crumbling and had not been sealed properly. I tried to get Michael Wilkins to come look at it for months after the project was completed in May of 2016, as I was supposed to have a 1 year warranty on all the work his people did. He would not come by and would not return my calls. I received a text from him giving me the name and phone number of his Tile Subcontractor (Sandro) and I was told to call him myself. Sandro would not return any of my calls and after 6 months, I finally gave up as my husband became ill and was hospitalized . My husband was ill for the next 2 years and finally died. In February of 2020, I contacted Michael Wilkins, the company owner, again, to see if he would come and look at these problems. He continually gave me days when his people could come by and no one would show up or call. I texted Michael weekly for about 3 months and he kept putting me off. Once again, I finally gave up. I finally contacted a company called Grout Geeks and scheduled an appointment for them to come by. I found out that the expansion joints in the shower were never caulked and consequently the grout was cracking and coming out in places. I also found out that the tile was never sealed. Now I am having to pay another $600.00 to have this shoddy work repaired. This shower job, just like the painting this company did was poor work that the owner did not choose to stand behind and correct. I would NEVER us this company again

Most of the work was of average quality. The painting was below average. There were two painters with 12 and 20 years service (according to them.) They could not properly cut a straight line between Walls and ceiling. We had asked for a 4 inch pan in the walk-in shower. The pan installed was 2 inches. Mike said the documents that came with the pan stated that the pan was 4 inches. Measuring from the shower floor to the top of the lip is 2 inches. So instead of being able to to use a shower curtain.without water running out on the floor. Michel installed a shower door. The job took two of his men 6 hours to install the door. The first time we tried to use the door came out of it's track. We finally resorted to contacting a shower door company. He said he could install a custom door made with 5/16 glass instead of plastic. When the old shower door was removed to install the new door, the we discovered that the door had been shimmed with wood|; which would rot over time since it would absorb water each time time the shower was used. Clean-up each day was unsatisfactory. They did not cover furniture and other items in a room and some paint had dropped on several pieces of furniture.We had to request they cover furniture when painting. We also had to ask that they cover the floor and stairs with heavy construction paper in their main paths through the house. Based on the work done in our house I would not recommend them to anyone.

Michael Wilkins showed up on time for the estimate, walked around slowly inside and outside, asked intelligent questions, and gave us good recommendations and options on each aspect of the job. He prepared an estimate the same day. We live in the country, and it's hard to get contractors to come to us. Michael's price was well within reason, and he provided extensive itemization and thorough explanations. We added on a few extra projects here and there, but the price increase for those items was fair and reasonable. The workmen were all experts in their respective areas (painting, drywalling, carpentry, etc.). They were polite, professional, pleasant, and hard working. They cleaned up the work site each day so that my house was livable. The job took a little longer than planned, but weather and my additional little jobs contributed largely to the delay. They did a superb job on everything. When they finished, I marked a few places I wanted them to go back over, and it was done with a smile. They left me a touch-up kit too. Michael and his crew truly want a happy customer. I am thrilled with the job they've done, and I have already hired them to make repairs to my chimney and garage and paint the garage doors. I'm so glad I've found Michael Wilkins and his company. I have many more projects to do in the future, and they will be my guys!
