+ -1 moreThe results look phenomenal. The lines where the different sections of the ceiling meet are straight and crisp. Only time will tell, of course, but I'm confident that no one could have done a better job of making this repair. They left no mess, were on time, pleasant to work with at a fair price. What else can you ask for?
Description of Work: Repaired cracks in the angled joints of a vaulted ceiling in a sunroom. Conrad at Chesterfield Interiors evaluated the job and quoted a fair price. He and an associate arrived at our agreed time to perform the work. They first removed repairs made by a previous contractor. The seams in the ceiling were cracked and split and were actually 'rounded' due to the quantity of joint compound the previous contractor had used. Next they started repairing the ceiling. Some tricky angles and a ceiling fan (as well as the height of the ceiling) made this a difficult repair. Conrad and his crew took their time to do it right. He used joint tape with a pliable vinyl insert down the middle to accommodate the inevitable movement the ceiling in this sunroom experiences. They used a special bonding compound under the joint tape and another layer over it. After that they finished the work with a skim coat of joint compound.
