Description of Work: Asked for an estimate to address a problem with water penetrating through the chimney into the residence. 30+ year old structure. Proposed solution was provided by the contractor. Required re-pointing the mortar joints and applying a PMP to the crown. Work on the chimney took two+ days, but no longer a leaking problem. Assuming it holds up, very happy with the chimney work. Unfortunately, they did leave the worksite with multiple mortar stains on the side of the house. Had to be cleaned off by owner. Otherwise, quality work. Would recommend provider to others.

Description of Work: cleaned stove & chimney after smoke damage event. Confirmed stove OK and chimney OK,but chimney cap inst by Acme Stove was NOT suitable - leading to the wind pushed smoke damage. Removed that chimney cap and advised that we should have no further issues. We WILL use that company again.

Description of Work: The guys that came out were great! They showed up a little early which was good for me, and they called in advance to let me know they were coming. I thought for sure the repair to my damper was going to be very costly, but they only charged me a service fee for putting it back on track and then they showed me how to open it properly so that it wouldn't happen again. Would recommend them to anyone.

+ 0 moreAfter speaking with several chimney companies we decided to select Castle Chimney. Even though their estimate was not the lowest, we were impressed by the many good reports on Angie's List. Our selection proved to be a good one. The technicians arrived at the agreed time and performed their work in a professional and courteous manner. The leader kept me informed about the work being done. After they finished, they thoroughly cleaned up. The price was as agreed and I think fair for the work done. I recommend them to others.

Description of Work: He cleaned and inspected our chimney with high tech equipment. He seemed very knowledgeable and showed us where there is a minor breach in the brick mortar. He gave us advice on next steps that didn't involve having to spend more money in the moment, which was refreshing.

+ -1 moreWhen we sold our last house, they were hired by the buyers to do the chimney inspection. They had a camera which they lowered into the chimneys; they were very professional and explained to me and the buyer's agent what exactly was wrong with the chimneys and showed us the damage through a little monitor, so we could see that what they told us was true. They performed all the repairs, obviously to the buyer's satisfaction. I was very impressed by the high tech equipment, their professionalism and courtesy and would hire them myself to inspect and repair a chimney.
Description of Work: Checked three chimneys for repairs and repaired chimneys.

+ -1 moreThey were great and he didn t get any dust on the furniture. They tried really hard not to get any dust particles in the house. He had to keep changing his filter. He showed up on time and was very respectful.
