I contacted Harvey Parks and they completed the survey even earlier than promised -- and delivered a PDF copy via email. We also needed a CAD (DXF) version of the survey file, which they also provided at no charge. Great service for a competitive price! I recommended them to a couple of realtors we work with in the Richmond area.

They came out when they said they would (we didn't have to be there), and both my new plat and bill came via email. I was also provided with a hard copy of the plat via USPS. I was able to pay almost instantly from my emailed invoice. The whole process couldn't have been any easier or more professional!

Description of Work: Surveyed my property. They found that two metal pins were missing so, on their own, they put those metal pins in for me. He went above and beyond for me. He put in wooden pins to mark property lines AND 4 ft, 8 ft and 16 ft easements. Very pleased with what they did for me and would definitely hire again.

 + -1 moreContacted company and they came out the same day because they had finished up another job early. Very friendly, very competent, and very professional. Quickly finished up with all the markings needed at the corners and put in stakes between corner markers. Would definitely use them again.

I received the copies of the very detailed plat within a week (my yard has various levels and multiple different materials, all clearly identified). Professional and prompt - would refer them to others and would certainly hire again.

Description of Work: Please bear with me as I sing this company's praises; it will be worth your while. I recently had a bad experience with a more unprofessional company that did not respond to my requests for a survey over a two week period; until I informed them that they were cancelled due to unprofessionalism. Even then, they are attempting to charge me for related services that amount to over 72% of their quoted price, even though they have not bothered to set one step on my property, so maybe you can see why I have approaced Harvey L Parks with such trepidation. I have later found out that I had nothing to worry about. Not only did they respond to my request by sending out a survey team on the same day, but they also came back two other times to ensure that their measurements were complete and correct. Since the city that I live in has admittedly stated that they did not have my property designated (and I am still waiting on them to correct their mistakes), Mr Parks team performed a total research on my property, and had found that I owned from 0.4 acres (as Petersburg had indicated) to over .53 acres of property. They had conspicuously marked my boundaries, developed another, accurate Plat drawing that I intend to send to Petersburg City Assessor, but had also sent me 6 copies of this drawing after one week. Their bill, despite the three visits to my property, stayed the same. All through this experience, I had the pleasure to speak with the office manager and the surveyor, and they were very pleasant, informative, and answered all of my questions. While they were on my property, they took the time to explain to my wife what they had found out, and answered all of her questiions as well. Professionalism, courtesy, a wilingness to continue until the job was thoroughly done, and quick response to my needs comes to mind when I think of my experience with them. Of course, I would highly recommend their company for any future work, or work at one of my acquaintences properties. This company represents the best of American pride in their business.

 + -1 more.Angie's list gave me the name Harvey L. Parks, Inc., last year 2011, and I contacted the company and Jan. 31, 2012, I was given a date and time for the job to be done. It was done professionally and in a timely manner.
Description of Work: The job was done on a timely and professional manner, I was given a detail explanation about the job and how the markings would be placed. Very polite crew and everyone seem to be knowlegdeable about what was to be done. Randy, the surveyor, was there to answer any questions I had for him...I would recommend Harvey L.
