E. Forrest Roofing & Painting

This company did repairs to my roof in 2018 and the repairs are covered with a 5 year warranty. After a heavy rain, I noticed water leaking again in the section where the roof was repaired. I contacted Mr. Forrest to notify him about the leak with expectations of the owner being accommodating. I also reminded him about the warranty coverage. I requested that he arrange to have someone check the leaking situation. Mr. Forrest was indifferent, condescending and would not commit to an inspection date. After making a second telephone call, this time being more insistent, Mr. Forrest begrudging (rude would be a better description of his reaction) agreed to August 6th. No one from this company showed up on August 6th. When I hired this company two years ago they had an A rating. I am especially disappointed at placing my trust in the credibility of this company and the integrity of the owner.

Very poorly. E. Forrest told me that the vent collar was the issue...period. They installed one vent collar, put some flashing around one chimney, and "said" they checked the rest of the roof and found no issues. They charged me $1,000! When the stain started showing up in the closet a few months later, I realized that replacing the vent collar had not been sufficient.to stop the leak. Two other roofing companies verified that the vent collar had been installed on rotten plywood, but E. Forrest did not alert me to this. The new roofing companies found other issues with the roof, including another vent collar on rotten plywood. In the end, the new roofing company I chose replaced all 5 vent collars, two sheets plywood, 2 8' rafters to assist, ice & water shield and tiger paw felt under new shingles at all vent collar locations, and thorough cleanup- all for LESS than E. Forrest had charged me for one vent collar!

It didn't go. Scheduled appointment for Friday, August 10. Requested ETA. Never got it. Called on Wednesday, August 8 to follow up. Promised I would get a call or text by Thursday, August 9 with info. No call, no text, no show. Don't waste your time.

Ed and his crew were extremely professional and did a fantastic job. Sam, John and Tom are master craftsmen who worked extremely hard to make sure the renovation exceeded expectations. Ed and his crew were always on time and very responsive to all requests I had. I have not seen a crew that worked so hard and took such pride in their work. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again

They were dependable, reliable, honest and they helped me a whole lot when my roof had to be replaced. It was fine. They gave me a guarantee. The work turned out real fine. The quality of their work was wonderful.
