Worst Experience Ever.I contracted with the company to do a complete remodel of my master bathroom and powder room. In the master bathroom, they were to remove the tub, install a tiled shower in its place, tile floor, new vanity, vent fan, install fixtures, plumbing etc. I supplied all materials for the job. I have never been involved in such a remodeling disaster before and this is not my first major remodeling. I did due diligence, searched Angie's List (2018 superstar?) and got a reference for a similar job. I signed the contract and things went downhill from there. Slated to start 5/6/2019, picked out vanity and made arrangements to visit counter top fabricator for selection in March. All material selected and ordered timely although questions regarding quantity of tile and other items had to be made repeatedly before a response was received. I spent time coordinating everything to the cabinets when they showed up with the wrong cabinet. Turns out the cabinets I had ordered (two different finishes) were no longer available and I would have to select another color. Delay. And these vanities do not have as durable a finish on them. They pulled the old bathtub out and; it sat like a rusting hulk in my driveway for 3 weeks preventing us from parking in the driveway. We asked about it and were told that a pick up would be scheduled. The only thing that happened was after 3 weeks, my husband and I broke up the cast iron tub into pieces small enough to put in the dumpster. At least I could park close enough to get the groceries in the house. The shower pan they ordered was the wrong size. I lost some space there as they tore out the wall board and built out the space to match the shower pan they ordered. They grossly over-estimated how much tile was necessary and delayed work for so long I missed the ability to return any of it. I had enough floor tile left to re-tile another room. The workers only come sporadically - the estimated completion was 6/10/19. Completion did not occur until August 13. The shower leaked, it took them two weeks to fix. The grout in the shower floor did not set properly, over two weeks to come back. I got an email saying go ahead and use the shower it won't hurt anything. Except every time you ran water in the shower bits of grout floated down the drain. They tried to fix by putting caulk in the lines (the shower floor had 3 different grout colors) but I found that unacceptable. They were scheduled to come on August 8, but did not show until the following week. Never received communication, in fact they were frequently scheduled to show but didn't....again no one thinks to notify the homeowner. At various times, I completed their incomplete work just to get it done. Painting not completed (door trim, linen closet shelves), they assembled the cabinets in my dining room floor with glue, hammer, nails and no drop cloth on my antique oriental rug. My son and I spent a year renovating his house and use multiple contractors from Angie's list to complete the work. I've left a number of stellar reviews for those vendors as their work and professionalism were high. This contractor, however, despite their rating was a disaster.

We have no excuse for the delays. Simply put, we were overwhelmed this summer with too many jobs. We addressed every issue and resolved all concerns before requesting final payment. Final results were a showroom quality bathroom. We are working to add additional staff in order to keep up with demand.

Two thirds of the work had been done by the time I was able to see their progress and I was definitely pleased. I had to leave before the final touches so I didn't get to see the finished job but my realtor said it all looked great. The owner contacted me when a problem arose with sanding and staining the hardwood floors, told me exactly what was wrong and gave me reasonably priced options to fix it. The result was just right and I have gotten compliments on the floors. Price was a little on the high side but worth being able to leave everything in their hands. Marked Punctuality as N/A because I wasn't there to see. The time estimate was for about 3 weeks but it actually took about 5, mostly because of the delay caused by having to change plans for the floors---no fault of the contractor's!

Todd came out on Friday, after I had to cancel a Monday appointment. He was fantastic. We spoke for over an hour on all the things I wanted to get done, and I received an email with a complete list of estimates quite promptly. I stronglyn feel that the estimates provided are more than fair and hope to be able to engage the company for the discussed projects soon.

We needed to have a piece of hardwood flooring replaced due to a mistake by a cable installer drilling a hole through the floor. It was difficult to obtain quotes from many companies due to the small scope of the project. All-N-I Services quoted promptly and provided a nice detailed understanding of the project scope. The work was completed quickly and well done. The price seemed a bit high for the job, however there may have been a minimum charge which may be understandable.

All-N-1 was responsive in scheduling an estimate and communicating costs. They worked with me to find solutions to some challenging problems. They used a lock-box so I didn't need to be present while they got the work done. They left their workspaces clean, so I didn't come home to a messy house. I found a roof leak after they complete the work and they fixed it up, no questions asked even though it was not part of the original order.

The job went great! It finished ahead of schedule, allowing me to get a tenant moved in before I expected. I live out of state. Todd communicated effectively and kept me informed. Everything was handled via telephone, text, or email. Once work was completed I inspected the kitchen. The quality of the work was excellent. To be honest, I never met anyone from All-N-1 Services in person. I called them up. They gave me a quote for the design they helped me with. I paid a deposit. I inspected the finished project. I made the final payment. All-N-1 Services is a property manager's dream come true!! I highly recommend them.

The final products are beautiful and of high quality. There was a bit of lag getting all of the grout cleaned off the porcelain floor, but, in the end, Todd (sales and company rep) came out with cleaner & scrub pads and scrubbed the entire floor on his hands and knees, leaving it pristine. I couldn't be happier with the end products. The only low score I gave is for Punctuality. I was routinely told that workers would be at my house "between 8 and 9 a.m.", whereas they routinely showed up between 11 a.m. and noon. Once here, they were pleasant, professional and worked hard to complete the job.

We had This company out for a 10x36 new construction Screen in porch. Our Contractor Sam was great and had a solution for every issue. We had several hiccups along the way due to the age and condition of my house but Sam and his team worked to fix every problem that came up. Our porch has been up for about a month now and we are enjoying it at its best. We had All-in-one install a new main entry and storm door as well as make some major repairs on the sill plate of the front of the house caused by water damage from the old front stoop allowing water to leak in. I can not say enough good things about Sam and his handling of our little job. However with that said. There were a few instances where I will simply say that no matter how big or little a job is, it should be treated as a priority. Several times I had tried to contact someone other than Sam in order to get an issue remedied that was out of his hands and each time it just seemed as though My job was not a big deal or was put on the back burner. Multiple times I tried to reach out to our point of contact to get an answer for issues that arose but I never received any interest in my concerns except through email. People prefer to speak to someone and for myself I prefer not having to take time out of my day when I already work 14-16 hour days. Again for the work that Sam did I can not be happier. I would have this company out to bid other projects I have going on at my house but I would prefer to get the kind of attention their other interests seem to get in the future.

I am glad our employees gave you the results you were looking for. Our apologies for any delays you may have encountered. We did have an unfortunate delay waiting for your special order siding, otherwise your new porch was functional within the originally scheduled time frame we specified on your contract. Additionally we passed all inspections from Chesterfield County.

I wish I could answer "How did it go?" I found this company on this site and saw the rave reviews, so I requested for a consultation, which fortunately, went well. (Or so I thought). The technician was prompt and professional and told me that he could email me my quote the following Thursday. Well, Thursday came and went, and now 25 days have passed and I still did not receive a quote or a follow up call. Just earlier this week, I used this site to contact this store again, and nothing. I understand that during the summer, home renovations increase, but please do not forget new clients. That's bad business etiquette.

Hi [Member Name Removed], My estimator, Todd Matthews, consulted me on your project after his visit and he was instructed to leave you a voicemail to let you know we did not offer services for what you were requesting. To elaborate, he said you were asking for us to install laminate flooring over top of stair treads which is not something we do since it is not an acceptable method for tread installation according to NWFA (National Wood Floor Assoc.) standards. The only acceptable method for retreading stairs is to overlay them with engineered or solid oak treads & risers and attach them with fasteners and adhesive. Laminate flooring cannot be glued or fastener due to its construction method and it would eventually fail. I am happy to come visit you myself and bring samples to demonstrate this upon your request, as well as provide an on-site estimate for proper stair retreading. Once again, we are happy to help you and would respectfully request you remove the review. Sincerely, Mark Waitkus, Owner, All-N-1 Services

Everything was smooth, on time and reasonably priced. The finished floors were absolutely jaw dropping. Even though the floors in the living room had been covered for 12 years and already looked good after carpet removal, the refinishing of the entire first floor encompassed sanding and refinishing everything to match. It looked even BETTER than it did after we removed the carpets.

Todd Matthews and his associate, Patrick Coiner displayed professionalism, integrity and were very honest in the repairs that we needed. They were not concerned about how much money they could make from our job, but about how to help us in the most reasonable and economical way. I have never been so impressed by the caring manner that these professionals displayed to us in solving our problems. Since we told them we have a dear friend willing to do the work, they went out of their way to tell us exactly how to fix our problems with the deck - AT NO CHARGE. I would highly recommend All-N-1 Services to all my friends, and to everyone.

They did an horrible job. They kept stretching it out. They had to come back, and back, and back. They did the worst. I couldn't believe they had been in business for twelve years. The owner wouldn't even come out to do inspections after the work was done. The guy that worked for him had an criminal record. He has an criminal back ground. I looked him up on an website, and was horrified. Can you imagine letting someone in your house unattended, having access to the key, and he has an criminal record. They cut all the stain wood out. Instead of trying out one area, with the new replacement wood. They cut all the stain wood out. They then decided we can't use the replacement boards, it was too much standing done wood. They then tore up everything, and you can save money if you tear it up yourself. Oh my God, I even paid their extra guy to come back and help me, it was so hard. The guy who had the criminal record, said Mark told him to pay him for the install. Pay him directly. That is the kind of crap that went on. Mark had the nerve to call me, when I wouldn't let any of them back in the door. He said, are you going to pay me the rest of my money you owe me? He said deduct $400 dollars for the install. It went back and forth. I said, no. He said, ok. I am still waiting for him, for an lawsuit. I will sure to be tell, that Angie's List rated him an A+, and that is why I used him. He is an F, F, F. I don't know who is running these positive reviews, but it wouldn't be me. It wasn't done right, and it was overwhelming for me to rip this stuff out, and $4000 later, he said he gave me an Angie's List discount. He put slate in. Before I could come in and look at it, he already ordered what he like. I am serious. I'm dead serious. They had to come back three different times to fix it. Some was sticking this way, and some was sticking that way. This is his business. I just fell and I am in an leg brace. I don't sound old, but I am sixty six years old.I can't be tripping over the front foyer. When I walk in the front door, I can't be falling on my face. They had this guy come out three times, and he didn't see it. Well, they never inspected it. He kept telling me, its suppose to be like this.It can't be a trip hazard for me. I have an leg brace, I don't anymore. Its been a year later. I have nothing nice to say about them. I will never use them for nothing. I will never use them again for anything. Employees has an criminal back ground. No apologies, nothing. Those people, you must do a better job. I was hoping Mark would do it, but he is busy doing bids. He has an A Angie's List rating, which is an lie. If I check Angie's List, and I still see an A, I am done. I don't think you do honest ratings. It was wasted. They were doing bigger jobs, bla bla bla. They got you. It was horrible. I wouldn't hire them for a dog catcher. Wasted my time, wasted my money. Did a sloppy job. I had them come back and fixed it. He sanded and re apply. Mark said, I didn't charge you for the extra stuff and coats. Mark is lame as an owner. I suspect he was in another company with another name. He didn't do well with it, and now doing this. He was in Colonial Heights, now Chester. No one is in the office all day, they went on vacation with his family a week. No follow up. He planned it a long time. No, he didn't care about me. He didn't care about his customer. It was just money in the bank. If he would pay attention to the business, that might not be the problem. They could go out of business. Do something else for a living. They need to get a grip on customer care, and more care to the job.

When we first decided to renovate our master bathroom, we looked around for contractors, mainly by asking friends and reading reviews on Angie’s List, narrowing it down to four contractors from which to get quotes. Unfortunately, we had two contractors that never even responded with a quote after coming to meet with us about the project, one that was excessively over budget, and All N 1 Services. They had good reviews on Angie’s List and responded promptly with a scope of work and estimate. We decided to hire them in November, 2016, with a November 14 start date. Our contract stated a December 16 completion date. Unfortunately, when we went to their office to meet with Todd (who had provided our price quote and project scope), he notified us that he was starting his own business and wouldn’t be involved much in our project. And that’s when things started to go bad. Mark, the owner of the company, was to be our project manager, scheduled to start work on November 14. He showed up 2 hours late on the first day and didn’t even know what our project was. We had to go over the entire project again, like starting from scratch. That was the first and only day that Mark showed up at our house, until the very last day. We were told that they would do the demo over a couple of days, then measure for and order the shower pan, which would take approximately 5 days to arrive. They were scheduled to come back on Monday, November 28 (after the Thanksgiving holidays). Supposedly the shower pan didn’t arrive on time, and they didn’t come back to work until December 5. Over the next couple of weeks, plumbing was moved, a wall was partially removed, and tile was installed, and things looked pretty good. The also replaced our kitchen vinyl, which was part of the original scope of work (and the vinyl still has bubbles in it). Progress was very slow, with several days of no work being done at all. Right before Christmas, we selected our countertops, and the vanity and countertop were installed right after Christmas, which was already more than a week past the contracted completion date. Throughout this process, we were never notified of any change orders or additional work that would be needed (except for one item that didn’t need to be done after all). We had all required materials onsite when needed, and there was never a delay on our part, even around the holidays. After New Years, the tile installer had a family emergency and didn’t work for several days. We were very understanding about this, and never complained about the delay. The following week, someone showed up to work maybe one day. So, that was a 2 week period with maybe 1 day of actual work completed. One day we specifically asked if they would be there the next day, and after being told yes and arranging our day around it, they never showed up at all. By the end of that week, Mark texted to ask us what still needed to be done. He had no idea what work had been completed, and we emailed him a list of approximately 15 items that hadn’t been finished, including several big items, such as setting the toilet, caulking around the tub and shower, and installing the shower light. After that, a crew showed up for a couple of days and got many tasks completed in a pretty short amount of time. Unfortunately, they did a pretty crappy job. It was obvious that they were rushing through to get everything completed, and they actually reinstalled the old shower light (even after we had mentioned that light in multiple emails to Mark). That was on a Monday, and Mark texted us to set up a time the following week to go over our punch list. They arrived the following Tuesday, discussed some of the issues with us, and supposedly finished. They left our house key when they left that day, and Mark sent us an invoice first thing the next morning. Here are just a few of the items that weren’t acceptable – gaps in the grout and caulk throughout, no caulk under the marble shower curb and wall, mirrors were hung crooked, wall paint on the trim, trim and ceiling paint on the walls, paint on the brand new tile, grout, and light fixtures, uneven baseboards, very sloppy caulk, and a wall that was painted while the drywall was still wet so there were “holes” in the paint. We emailed Mark and told him that we weren’t paying the invoice until these items were fixed and also asked for the invoice to be adjusted for the parts of the scope of work that we ended up not doing. Mark then sent a text message and said they would be back first thing in the morning. They did come back and fixed the items that we very specifically marked in the bathroom, but some of the items still weren’t quite acceptable, including a plumbing leak under the sink that we discovered shortly thereafter. They also left without thoroughly cleaning up after themselves. These workers pay zero attention to detail. When you are paying someone $15,000 for a bathroom (labor only – we provided most of the materials), you have to assume that they can paint without dripping it everywhere. Who spills paint on a brand new tile floor and just leaves it there to dry? And we could’ve done a better job on the caulk than they did. Approximately 2 weeks after the job was “finished,” we noticed water on our living room ceiling below the bathroom (thankfully we hadn’t mailed the final payment yet). We notified Mark, and they returned 2 days later to look at it. As it turns out, they had installed the toilet incorrectly with the wrong size wax ring, so it was leaking. This of course led to the ceiling below needing to be repaired and repainted. This process took about another week, and they did a good job of repairing the ceiling and repainted all of it. During this process, they also corrected some painting and caulking in the bathroom, so that is much improved from how they had left it a few weeks before. Overall, this project took 17 weeks (including the leak and ceiling repair), when it was supposed to take 4. We asked Mark for a discount since it took so long, and he sent an email basically telling us all the things they should’ve charged us extra for and didn’t. As mentioned earlier, he never communicated any required change orders with us (except one that wasn’t necessary after all), so giving us a discount for work already in the scope isn’t really a discount. We understand that there was one week with a family emergency, but that doesn’t justify being 13 weeks over schedule, with no compensation. We think that All N 1 Services probably does a decent job with the big parts of a renovation, but DO NOT hire them to do painting or any type of detailed work. During the tile installation, our tiles had a slight wavy pattern in them, and several tiles were installed with the pattern in the opposite direction. These were fixed after we pointed them out, but it shows how they don’t pay attention to the details of the work they are doing. We’ve always heard horror stories about contractors – we just never thought we’d actually be part of one, and we would never recommend All N 1 Services to anyone.

Response from All-N-1 Services Inc
This review is full of so many discrepancies I can't begin to count them. I was at your house at least 6 times throughout the project. You trying to renegotiate a contract after we are done it just plain sad, and I would never discount a job for anyone just to avoid the threat of a bad review, it's unethical. 87 review and yours is the only one bathroom remodel below an A. We addressed ever single concern you had about the project, no matter how miniscule. We even removed a custom inlaid accent because you requested it after we finished. In all fairness to All-N-1 you really need to post pictures of your bathroom to show what we left, which was a showroom quality bathroom. I am sorry you are angry we were unable to renegotiate your contract.
