Z ARTIS SEPTIC TANK SERVICE

I called Z Artis to pump septic tank of house that I rent out. I gave him the correct address but he paid little attention and saiid he knew where the house was located. I received a bill for pumping the tank at the correct address and promptly paid it. Approx 1wk later, person that lives in the house asked me when the tank was going to be pumped and we found that the tank at the wrong house had been pumped. I called mr Artis and he confirmed he pumped my neighbor's house in lieu of mine. He said he would come back to pump mine and I called and emailed numerous times but he would not come back even when I offered to pay half the cost. This went on for two months. I threatened to take him to court and he hung up. I went to Chesapeake small claims court and filled out paperwork but court would not allow me to file because I couldn't provide address of z Artis' business. All that was listed on the invoice I paid was a PO box and court had to have physical address for delivery of court notice. He wasn't listed with Chesapeake to do business so they couldn't provide his address. I gave up and called Brown to pump tank and they performed as advertised. There is more than one Artis Septic. This pertains to Z Artis Septic.

Overall experience was great. I dug the manhole covers prior to them arriving. Then they did the rest, pumped the tank/washed the tank. tidy cleanup, no mess.

Water was backing up in our toilets, shower and bathtub. I called Mr. Artis late at night and left a message on his answering machine. He called me back at 7:40 AM the following day and he said we would be his 3rd customer. He arrived and cleared the drain, charging only $50. We have used Mr. Artis approximately twenty years and are very satisfied with his service. There was one visit that he didn't even charge us for. He is a very honest man and totally reliable.
