I needed firewood relatively short notice. I called around and checked craigslist. Out of 4 different places I called, tri city were the only ones that answered the phone. I asked about delivery and he told me it would be 3/4 of a cord. I was in need of one cord. Online it says between 1/2 and 3/4 of a cord for delivery. They came less than 24 hours later with not even half a cord. I stacked and measured it. My stack is just over a third of a cord. The wood is soaking wet and covered in mud. I have to actually wash down the pile and my driveway. I read some reviews about the wood not being seasoned but that was almost two years ago. I will write another review or edit this one if the wood will not burn.

After the snow storms when I had run out of wood, I searched several places to find some to no avail. When I went to Tri-City, they were the only ones with wood. I pulled in and bought a pile. I paid $15 more than I would had my other source had wood, but I needed it. I loaded my truck hoping an employee would offer to help, but no one did. The wood was wet and sitting in puddles because of the snow and covered in mud, but I stacked it and left it for a couple days to dry. When I tried to start a fire with it, it would not burn. I've never seen wood that absolutely would not burn. It only smolders or goes out. The only way I can use it at all is to burn other wood I finally had to buy by the bundle somewhere else, and let a piece of Tri-City wood smolder on top of it. Last year I probably spent $1000 or more on compost and rock from them. This year I will not buy anything. Four weeks later, this wood still will not catch on fire. I hope it will be seasoned next year and can be used.

I had a simple start to finish experiance. Step 1) I pulled up, asked questions to the knowledable staff. Step 2) I paid and received a ticket Step 3) I drove the truck to the load area and showed a man in a front loader the ticket Step 4) They loaded the product on the truck bed. Step 5) I was on my way home.
Description of Work: Picked up several truck loads of topsoil for a few plant beds.

I wanted to get some firewood for winter. I drove past and saw they had firewood for sale and called and got a resonable market price (I compared via craigslist). The delivered the wood, and that is the end of the good stuff. The wood had excessive dirt over a lot of it. Worse than that was it would not burn. I have never seen wood this bad. It woudl burn as long as my kerosene firestarter was running (about 20 minutes) then smolder or go out. I tried 4 different fires and could not keep the wood burning. I wanted to make sure it was not just a few bad logs. These logs were Sodden (Thing Swamp Loggers). I went to the company and showed them pictures of the partually burned logs, The manager said the owner would call me. This was about 3 weeks after delivery as I wanted to be sure there was a problem. What did I get for my trouble? After holding the check for 3 weeks, it came through the next day. Did the owner call. No. Now I have a rach full of wood that won't burn, No room to get good wood and feel ripped off. These people will not see any more of my money. Beware of this company!
