We had already watched many You Tube repairs and Google searches for a common problem with our 3.5 year old $2500 Frigidaire Gallery unit. It is known to have icemaker problems and it was our turn for NO ice. We did call around for a repair company estimates, from a few locals. We had also replaced the icemaker unit ourselves. We spoke on the phone with the repair guy and since we could see ice inside the refrigerator, he recommended a total defrost of an empty unit, with doors open for 24 hours. We did this and still no ice. He then sent a repairman who did a diagnostic and reset. The next day we still had no ice. The owner came next and did all of the diagnostic and reset to include calling Frigidaire to ensure he was using the proper sequence. He did everything he could think of from top down. We are out of warranty and Frigidaire (Electrolux) happily reminds us of this. The Repair Guy was clearly communicating, thorough and handling many calls / texts and made no promises. We did not get ice. He adjusted the service cost and told us of our choices. We would happily recommend him and call him again. Greta experience! Thank You.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Worst experience ever. This is the first time I have ever written a review and I am hoping the last. I am only writing this so that others do not have the same experience we did. After $800 spent and 4 months of trying to get our wine cooler fixed we had to call another company. The new compressor that was installed is now destroyed and not usable as it was not properly installed. Now we have to spend another $1000 dollars on a new compressor for another company to install. Calls not returned, missed appointments or hours late, response was always 'I can come next week'. Wasted time and money.

READ GOOGLE REVIEWS ON THIS GUY FIRST!!!! Extremely unprofessional. Set up an appointment, after he did not show up between the times he provided, I called him and he said he forgot and said he could come in the following week. When I asked him if he had something earlier, he then says "you know, I've decided not to work on your brand of appliances anymore because they give me a headache". I've taken time off from my work for this repair guy to simply no show and no call.

Marcello is one of the most hard working , honest people, I have ever met. He explains everything thoroughly, will save you money on a repair if he can. He has repaired the dryer and the oven at our residence and currently is replacing our heat pump and air handler. When we owned a business several years back he would repair our tanning beds , washers and dryers. Definitely recommend!

In mid-May, the microwave would occasionally make a humming noise after the heating process was over and the unit had turned off. I reported the problem to our property manager and was later contacted by a woman from The Repair Guy to set up an appointment for Marcello to come out and look at it. I moved things around in my schedule for that week in order to accommodate Marcello's schedule. My appointment time with Marcello came and went and I never received a phone call about there being a delay. I finally called The Repair Guy's office line and got the voicemail system. I left a message stating that my appointment time had passed a while ago and I was wondering if Marcello was still coming. TWO HOURS after he was supposed to be at the house, I finally received a phone call from Melissa at The Repair Guy. She said that Marcello was not going to be able to make it that day and that he wanted to know if he could come the next day, which was a Saturday. I told her we had family coming to stay with us for the weekend and we had a busy schedule planned with them, so it would not work. Needless to say, I was quite irritated. If someone's appointment is at 2:00, you know by 1:45 if you're going to make it on time or not and a courtesy call should be made to the client letting them know you're running late. To not contact them until two hours after the agreed upon appointment time is inconsiderate and unprofessional. I had rearranged my schedule that week, put off outpatient surgery, and then sat at home for several hours waiting for him to show up. And not once was an apology extended for their lateness in contacting me or for standing me up for the appointment. I told Melissa I would have to look at the schedule for the following week and call them back. After that weekend, the microwave never made the humming noise again. I did not reschedule because whatever was going on with the microwave somehow resolved itself. When we started having issues with the ice maker, I was again contacted by Melissa from The Repair Guy to set up an appointment to fix it. Once more, I rearranged my schedule to accommodate Marcello's schedule. Instead of a specific time like what they did with the microwave repair appointment, Melissa scheduled a window of time.... from 11:00 - 3:00. Nothing was asked of me regarding the problem with the ice maker. Not what make and model of the refrigerator, what it was specifically doing or not doing, etc. On Friday, I sat at home waiting for Marcello to show up. I needed to go to Virginia Beach, but I knew there was no way I could get out there, pick up groceries and get back before 11:00. So, I stayed home all morning to make sure I was at the house during my scheduled appointment window. Noon passed. One o'clock passed and two o'clock. At 2:30 (just 30 minutes shy of the end of my appointment window), I received a call from Marcello saying he was not going to make it to the house until after 4:00. He simply assumed it was fine and that I would be willing to wait around for another additional hour for him. I told him that was not going to work because we were going out for the evening. He asked me what specifically was going on with the ice maker. When I explained it to him, he said it was the motor in the door of the freezer and it's not a cheap fix. He then asked me what the make and model of the refrigerator was. When I told him, he said he didn't have a motor immediately available. So, basically, if he had kept his original appointment window, Marcello was going to come to the house, take a look at it and tell me that it's the motor and he doesn't have one in the truck, and then schedule yet another service call later on to actually fix it. He didn't bother to inquire before the appointment day as to what we were observing with the refrigerator and what the model number was, and I would have set aside two days to wait on him to show up for two separate service calls. Other repairmen I've dealt with over the years (not just when we've lived here) have always asked before the appointment what the specific problem was and any pertinent information like the make and model of the appliance so they could make sure they were prepared and have even checked around ahead of time to see if the parts they thought they would need would be available or even have them on the truck just in case they needed them. Neither Melissa nor Marcello did this before he was supposed to show up. Marcello was just going to show up and not even be prepared for the service call.akeWhat pushed me over the edge was when he said he didn't have a motor in the truck and the earliest he could get one would be next Friday and then asked me to commit yet more hours of my time to set up yet another repair appointment window. After what happened with the microwave appointment and now what was happening with the ice maker appointment, I had had enough. I told him I did not appreciate being stood up TWICE for repair appointments and I reminded him of the incident when he did not show up for the microwave repair appointment and no one bothered to call me about it until two hours later. I told him I had once again rearranged my week's schedule to accommodate his and I was once more being inconvenienced AND, to make matters worse, he was asking to come back the next Friday which would inconvenience me for a third time. As I was trying to tell him these things and explain my frustration as a customer to him, he was rude and kept trying to interrupt me. Not once did he ever utter even the slightest apology for the situation. Rather, he seemed indignant. Like I had no reason to be upset or frustrated with him. Furthermore, he acted annoyed and like he was placating me. Five minutes later, he called back to say he couldn't reach the property manager and the earliest he could get a motor and come to fix the ice maker would be next Friday. As much as I hated it, I scheduled with him for next Friday with another darn window of time from 1:00 - 5:00. I had to cancel it, though, because I needed to pick up my daughter at camp in Virginia Beach at 3:00. I left a voicemail cancelling it and Melissa called me back confirming they had received the cancellation. Fast forward to that Friday, I was preparing to leave the house to go pick up my daughter when Marcello shows up! The one time he bothers to show up as scheduled, it was for an appointment I had cancelled! I reminded him I had cancelled the appointment, which he seemed oblivious to, and told him I was leaving the house soon. He said the repair to the refrigerator would only take a few minutes and be quick. Almost 30 minutes later, he is cleaning ice up off the floor and packing up his tools. And I was late in leaving the house to get my daughter from camp. I was LIVID! And, YET AGAIN, not one apology for the previous missed appointments and for showing up after I had cancelled. And, now, our ice maker has stopped working again. When it comes to Marcello and The Repair Guy, customers beware!

I called The Repair Guy about a broken refrigerator and explained I had a 2 week old baby and a fridge that was broken. He came over within 2 hours (9 pm on a Friday) and had my fridge running perfectly within an hour. Mark is hard working, honest, and reliable. I definitely recommend him.

A dish shattered in my dishwasher wich was causing the water not to drian. He was running at little late, but called to let me know when he expected to be there. He had to take apart my dishwasher 3 times to make sure every little piece of glass was gone. (And there was alot! ) He stayed and keept at it until he found one last little tiney piece that was stuck way down in the motor. He was very pleasant (and funny!) to talk to. I would deffinaley reccommend The Repair Guy to anyone!
Description of Work: I had a shattered Dish in my Dishwasher and it was not draining properly. The Repair Guy fixed it.

The refrigerator was not cooling properly, our tenants were finicky and difficult to please, but The Repair Guy went above and beyond with several visits and checks to get the unit up to a satisfactory setting. Really it was not a big deal, it was more that the tenants were difficult and confrontational and The Repair Guy was the perfect diplomat, keeping us as owners informed, appeasing the tenants and undergoing great lengths to do so. He was very knowledgeable and professional. After spending much time and installing whatever pieces and parts were necessary he still would not accept one dime from us until the tenants were satisfied and he was sure everything was to their liking. This man has the best work ethic I have seen in decades. He is 'Johnny on the spot" every time and takes each job personally. He takes each job to heart and actually has a passion for doing the job to perfection. We were so impressed and only wished that there were more contractors like him.

It was an overall excellent experience. He showed up on time and arrived within 30 minutes of my initial call. He actually had diagnosed the problem over the phone before he arrived, and proved right on his diagnosis when he got here. He had the repair done within 15 minutes of arriving. It was superior service all together. If you need appliance repair, there is only one guy to call! (Don't even bother calling anyone else!) I already have him scheduled for another repair job in the near future.
