We recently had Scott Lane's Tree service take down four trees. The crew showed up on time and took them down in four hours. They were very knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, safe and they cleaned up afterwards. Very fair pricing. Highly recommend their services.

They were fantastic! Did a great job, was at my home all day with several people and cleaned up everything! We are so grateful! Fully recommend and will be using again!

Thank you to the hard working professionals at Scott Lane's Tree Service for their excellent work on my project. I initially requested estimates from different tree services through "Angi", and received some estimates. Scott Lane's Tree Service was one of the companies that gave me an estimate. We initially discussed the type of work that I wanted done over the phone. A crew member came out, went over all of the details, and gave me a written estimate that day. On the day of the project, a full crew came out and got the work done within a few hours, which included clean-up of all debris. They did a very thorough job on four tall pine trees which were overgrown, growing over the roof, and reaching power lines towards the street behind the house. Two live oaks, which had grown together, were separated, thinned-out, and shaped. A mimosa tree and a mulberry tree were cut back from the house, and from over the driveway. Deadwood was also removed from the two. I highly recommend your company. Thank you again for a great job!

Scott Lane was fine, they understood the situation, he put a rush on our service, he came and did the work, it was done fine.

Over a week without a call to schedule. Can't give a positive review if they don't want to get in touch.

Scott is extremely knowledgeably about caring for trees. His company provides an awesome team of individuals that work well together from removing trees, grinding stumps, trimming branches to cleaning up!

Went well. I did have to call to see when he was coming after 2 weeks passed. He did arrive on the day he ultimately promised and they were very quick and efficient.

I cannot express how happy I am with this company! The crew started early in the morning, removed two trees and trimmed 2 others. They did a phenomenal job and left my property as clean if not cleaner than when they arrived. Very reasonably priced. Quality work and very nice crew!!!!!! You will not meet nicer or more professional people!

Everything went good. Weather caused some delay.

When they showed up to do the job, they went straight to work. Good or not good. I finally heard the equipment working out in yard. I think they should have touched bases with me before they started. But all went OK as it turned out.

Initially they cut down a pine tree on November 1, 2017 which went very well, however, when it came to removing the stump a totally different story. At that time we requested that the stump be removed. We were given an estimate and that Ms Utility would have to mark the stump before they could remove. The stump was marked a couple days later. Today marks 44 days since the tree was cut down and still no scheduled day to remove the stump. We had called/emailed several times to get a date/time and were basically told "don't call us we will call you with a date". Yesterday we had the stump removed by a responsive tree service company. We had to have the stump marked by Ms Utility again. Could no longer wait for a response from Scott Tree Service. We are very disappointed in their service.

Crew professionally and efficiently handled all work

Not well. the company did not show up on the contracted date. They did not complete the job contracted. They destroyed a tree that was specifically promised to be preserved in the process of cutting down the trees. They would not return our calls. The secretary would not allow us to contact the owner who signed the contract. The experience was very unsatisfactory, they scammed my mother out of money for incomplete and an overall poorly done job.

While asking for firewood to be delivered from Scott Lane's tree service, we asked for an estimate on a tree in our backyard to be removed while they were at our house. This was in February 2017. We signed the tree removal estimate but said that we would not be ready to have it removed until May 2017, we wanted to budget to have the tree removed. One week later, they came into our yard WITHOUT SCHEDULING WITH US and cut the tree down. This tree is large and tall enough that we would have let our neighbors that it was being done. I called and complained and one receptionist said that our estimate was put in a wrong job pile and that she was sorry. I called back and spoke to another receptionist and she was extremely rude to me and said that we signed the estimate so we have to pay right away. I called the owner who never apologized for their office error. They sent 4 notices for payment and threatened collections. I paid them the $600 in May like I said that I would when we first discussed doing business together. I have had them take down trees in the past- I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Very rude and poor customer service.

As we were fearful that the leaning tree could press even further onto our home we wanted it out quickly. He was able to come out the next day. He had a full crew, did all the work and cleaned everything up. Swept the deck clear. Blew the sawdust into the mulch to make more mulch, every limb and leaf was gone. They put everything back in its place. I can't say enough good things about how professional and efficient they handled everything.

Not well at all. I made an agreement that the process could start in a week or two as I would be out of town. I didn't need to be there, by agreement, so that worked out well-that was on 8/21. On 8/30 the tree came down but the stump remained. I waited until 9/9 and placed my first call to SL Tree Service to see when the stump would be removed-assuming as with other tree contractors this would be a one day and done operation. I was told that other new work had taken a priority and it would probably be next week. Next week came and went so I called SLTS again on 9/16-I was told "we'll get to it next week for sure"-the woman answering the phone replied "Even if I have to do it myself-Mr. Corbett". Next week came and went. I went out of town on 9/20 but before I left I made arrangements to meet with another tree service upon my return on 9/29 to have the stump removed. I got a call on 9/26 from neighbors that work had resumed and the stump had been removed-almost 4 weeks to the day that the tree had been taken down. Never a proactive call from SLTS-always SLTS reacted to calls I initiated-very unprofessional-plans I had for that area of the yard had to be put on hold for one month-for what should have been a one day job. It took them a month for a one day operation so a month from 9/26 they will get my check and the original amount will be reduced to compensate for bad performance

Scott came out and we surveyed the sit together. The tree had many running roots on top of the ground and the main concern was to grind these out as close to the house and fence line, even the ones in my neighbors yard. Scott agreed to everything pointing out every root to clarify the job. The company contacted Miss Utility and they where out April 29th for the tree cutting. I just wanted to tree laid down in sections as I had a friend coming by for the wood. The crew was great and very professional and cut 6' to 8' pieces.They were done and cleaned up in less than an hour. The stump grinding was slightly more difficult bu nit due to Scott. Had a vacation planned and the rainy weather just was not going to cooperate before we left or when we got back. However they kept in contact with us and finally had the stump taken out June 3rd. There was some confusion with the grinding person HOWEVER Scott's wife handled it quickly and professionally. The company was very easy to work with even though it was sometimes hard to get a hold of them. They did however return calls in an expeditious manner. Would highly use them again as well as recommend them.

We couldn't be more pleased with the job they did. Arrived this morning with equipment and crew to get the job done in a minimal amount of time. Removed two trees, and major surface roots and grinded the stumps in less than 2 hours. The job site was cleared and cleaned of all debris as promised. While they were here we had two of our neighbors who hired them on the spot to trim a tree for one and grind down stumps for the other. We got three estimates for the job and this was the best price by far. It included everything. At least one of the other estimateswe got was several hundred dollars higher and did not include taking away the debris.

They were very professional. The office person was courteous and thoughtful at every step. They gave me the best estimate. I asked that they leave fire wood behind and I was amply rewarded. They aimed to please and asked me at several points if I was satisfied with their work and followed up after the job was completed

They arrived on time; were efficient; neat, and did such a good job that some of my neighbors had they do some tree work while they were in the neighborhood. These fellows are very professional, knowledgeable, and I would call them again for future work.

I made an appointment for the morning of Oct. 14th, 9AM-12PM for an estimate on a dead tree in my yard and the same in my neighbors yard! Heather, (I think) from Scott Lanes office called me around 11:30 AM and told me that "Mr. George" was running late and would be there about 1-1:30PM. Ok, I can understand things happen. I had to go out BUT my neighbor was home & would keep an eye open for them! When I got home about 4:00 PM, my neighbor told me that NO ONE had showed!!! I was REALLY P.O.! I called the company & was told that she would call Mr. George and call me right back. Well, "Mr. George" called me and so informed me that he was NOT supposed to be at my house until LATER in the afternoon! BS!!! I then informed him that I could NOT do business with such an UNRELIABLE company! Mr. George THEN proceeded to verbally assault/abuse me, calling me an A****** and THEN saying "HOW ABOUT I COME OVER THERE RIGHT NOW AND KICK YOUR A**?" My mouth THEN got the better of me and said "you got my address, come on over"!!! I THEN called the local police and they dispatched a RPU to my house whereas the patrol officer took my statement! If Mr. George drives a big, fairly new, dark gray pick-up with Scott Lanes logos on the lower left of the tail gate & and least one of the doors with a big green tree in the middle, then he rode past my house at least twice!!! Way to go Scott Lanes Tree Service, NOT!!!

1) Service's office is impossibly hard to get in touch with. Multiple calls not returned for scheduling the estimate and work. 2) Crew knocks on door at 0730....and I had no idea they were coming. Again, front office never bothered to return the phone call to the schedule the work. 3) Crew arrived and completed work 2 days prior to Miss Utility doing their ground survey. Again, no coordination/communication from the front office. 4) Crew had no respect/regard for my house, yard, or driveway: a. I *HAD* and brand new driveway. Not a single mark. Now it is covered in chainsaw oil and grease from their equipment. I expected some level of work by-product, but this is really bad. b. Crew let multiple branches scratch the side of my brand new house. c. Crew let a large limb crash into my house requiring replacement of 3 pieces of siding (which to their credit, they had a guy fix it very quickly, but is goes to the lack of professionalism). d. I had to clean grease and oil off the side of my house near the garbage cans where there changed out oil. e. I now need to replace my entire back lawn as the dug it up with their equipment. Again, I was expecting some level of wear/tear, but I shouldn't have to replace my lawn. 5) Services were not completed: a. Several limbs, vines, branches were left behind. The hauler they hired only took the wood he could re-sell. b. I now have 4 large trees worth of stump mulch that was not taken away. To quote the worker, who was obviously trying to get out of my driveway before I asked him about the stump mulch, "We can't re-sell it, so we don't take it." The owner himself did the estimate and was there for about an hour on the first day. There was no discussion with me regarding being left with huge piles of stump mulch. If I knew ahead of time, I would not have used their service. 6) Despite other reviews stating that the use of protective equipment has been corrected, not a single hard hat, set of goggles, gloves were in use. The owner himself visited the site and did not correct any safety issues. Overall, the trees came down, but due to all of the things surrounding their work, I would never use them again and do not recommend them to anyone else. I am incredibly disappointed with this service.

First off, the guys who trimmed our trees were excellent and the work speaks for itself. I found Scott Lane's on Angie's List and immediately called them for a quote. I should have known from the initial estimate that this was not the company for me. The appointment time for the estimate was between 0900 and 1200. At 1200, I had yet to have a phone call or represent come to the house, so I assumed they weren't coming. I left the house to do errands. While out, I received a phone at an HOUR later telling me that he was at my house for the estimate. In the end, I was emailed the estimate of the service to be provided. After other quotes, we picked this company due to the reviews on Angie's List. I emailed my contract on 6/26/14 to Scott Lane's and received a return email stating that they were working on scheduling my appt. I called them on 6/27/14, 6/30/14, 7/1/14, and 7/2/14 AND LEFT MESSAGES to please call me back for a time to set up an appt. On the last phone call, I left a message stating that if I did not hear back from them within a week, I would consider our contract null and void. Finally, I received a phone call the following Tuesday (7/8/14) to set up an appt for 8 AM Wednesday 7/16/14. On that Wednesday, I waited until 9 AM to call Scott Lane's to investigate whether they would be coming. At 9 AM, WHEN I CALLED THEM I was told that due to the rain they would not be able to keep the appt and would have to reschedule. I then asked when they were going to call to inform me on the rescheduling. The lady stated, "Well, I just realized 15-20 minutes ago that there was an appt this morning." When she told me this, I asked why she didn't call me then to rescedule. She never gave me a direct answer. Needless to say, I was not mad about having to reschedule, but was furious that their customer service was so low on their list of priorities that I had to call them to find out what was going on. I asked to cancel my contract after all the headaches they had caused me and my husband. The trimming job was excellent, but not worth the pain of setting up an appt and getting it completed.
