RS Andrews

This is an excellent service at a reasonable price. Thanks to Angie's List, I found this company and contacted them via the web. They scheduled a technician visit for a week or so later, and called back the day before to remind me. The technician arrived on time, explained the work to be done, examined all of the air conditioning parts, performed electrical and freon level checks, and cleaned the coils inside the house and outside. He also did some minor modification of an access panel that was poorly mounted on an interior unit. The technician answered all of my many questions, and he explained the two types of heating units that we have. Fortunately, my heat and a/c were in good repair and this contract should keep them in good repair.

Serviceman arrived on time and explained in very good detail what he was going to do and how long it would take. He also up front told me exactly what the service cost and what I would be paying today. He also explained that any other items would be extra and we would discuss any other services prior to him performing the service. After the service he explained to me his findings and what should be done to correct several small areas to prevent them from becoming big problems. He also explained the slight drainage problem I'm having and how it should be corrected. When I scheduled my appointment I was quoted $89.99 for a cleaning and service. I had a small valve leak and freon needed to be added which added a small amount to the total charge, but I was given the opportunity to authorize this service prior to it being performed. Overall, I'm very happy with the service and the company and would recommend them for others to use and use them again in the future.

Overall, we were very pleased. The service man was the same guy every day, which meant he knew the problem and where he had left it the previous day. He was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable with over 25 years of HVAC experience. The service manager was also professional, courteous and non-confrontational when I complained about having to pay for the "build backs" of the system every day. We discussed the issue amiably and he agreed that this issue was not my fault, nor his for that matter, but that in fairness he would only charge us for one tear down and one build back of the entire system, very kind of him I think. I would use this company again, and in fact, have already scheduled a servicing of my A/C system with them.

I called R.J. Andrews on a Sunday. I had noticed a vibration the night before and shut the unit down. It was not a very loud or severe noise, but sufficient for investigation. Jim came over within the hour to check the unit. He found the problem in 5 minutes flat. He noted the part that had to be replaced. After giving me the cost estimate, he took the necessary information from the unit and left to obtain the damaged part. He promised to return the next day with the part and so he did and had the unit up and running in a short time. Once the part was replaced, Jim noticed another debilitating issue and once again promised to return on the following day with that replacement as well. So he did at no cost and we were back on schedule. I was so pleased with the service and the professionalism that I will be setting a maintenance contract with them shortly. I got the listing for this company on Angie's and it was as outstanding as listed. Thank you, Angie, again!

I was visited by a sales representative from two companies. Both reps seemed competent but the Andrews Engineer performed a complete heat load and ducting analysis. He measured all walls, windows, and doors and factored in the heat reflectivity values of my gas filled windows. He plugged these values into a computer program which calculated the exact requirements for heat, cooling, and ducting. The engineer spent 2-1/2 hours on the requirements and load factor analysis. I felt his recommendation was exactly what I needed for a system that would perform very well in my home. After all was said and done, Andrews came through with the best proposal and lowest price. The installation of the new unit went without a hitch. The work crew arrived on time and completed the installation in one day. I've been very happy with my new unit and instantly noticed the improvement with heat distribution in some of the colder areas of my house.

The service man called first to confirm time and arrived shortly thereafter. He listened carefully to our description of problem and told us how he was going to go about finding the problem. He found it right away and fixed it, then checked the the rest of the system. He also gave us information on the company's preventive maintenance program. We have not had any further problems with the system so far.

They are a good company to work with. To date I have used their services two times and they always do high caliber work. The prices are reasonable but others might say they are expensive. In today's market you get what you pay for.

It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get on the schedule, but it was worth the wait. They were very friendly and efficient. It only took approximately 7 hours to install. We hardly knew they were there. I was very pleased and surprised to received several Thank You s via phone, writing, gifts , email, etc. Wonderful customer service!

Great. They had a technician come out within 24 hours of my phone call (during the 4th of July week). He inspected the unit and told me it just need some coolant added, which he did.

It went well. The appointment was scheduled within two days of my call-and it's early summer, so I'd say that's pretty good. The technician arrived within 40 minutes of his scheduled time. Not perfect, but not terrible. He fixed everything within an hour and a half and explained everything he did and what he had to replace.

My heating and A/C unit stopped working on a Sunday. I called RS Andrews and a service technician arrived within 30 minutes. He quickly assessed the problem as a bad main circuit breaker and replaced it. He walked me through each step of the repair and checked the rest of the unit when he was done.

Representative was knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of my questions. I asked him to return the following day so I could do some additional research. Again he answered my questions and gave me good advice. We scheduled an install date and that date was later confirmed with a phone call. The install went well. Cleanup was accomplished.

Our furnace stopped running during the night. I called them the next morning. They were able to get some one here by 10 AM. The serviceman was professional and curteous. He inspected in a timely manner and showed us what the problem was. He had the part on his truck and replaced it right then. He offered a yearly service plan that we are reviewing and are considering to purchase.

They came out and told us that they said that it was $49.95 for an estimate and 19.95 for a digital reading. We told them that they couldn't come in then. He still expects us to pay.

The service man that came out was very friendly, and he went right to work. He got our system looking new again and when he was finished checking everything out, he cleaned up the entire area around the system. I have used this company for a long time now, and they have always done a good job.

This company, at first, was very thorough on their jobs, but now it seemed like they just went through the motions. They haven't been checking the ducts in the attic or anything. They said they would next time they come out. The first one person that came out and inspected our unit was a woman and she was very good. Now they are hit and miss. They came out twice a year to inspect our unit and if they needed to replace any parts, I only had to pay for the parts, because I had a contract with them. That was why I gave them a B grade.

RS actually installed my air conditioning unit about twenty years ago and I still use them to date. I just called them today because I am having some troubles with the system. They do provide great service and the people are great. They always clean up their mess when they are here. I really have no complaints at all.

They came out with everything and installed it, but they didn t do a good job of cleaning up well when they were done. They had younger and inexperienced guys do the work and their duct work was sloppy. We have had problems since and called someone else to fix the problems.

They did a good job; they cleaned the unit up real well. They service guy was a good, nice, and professional guy. He did a very thorough check up of the system and updated us on everything that was done and how well the system was running. We have used them for eight years now and they have kept the system running very smoothly.

When our air conditioning system went down, it was the hottest day of the year. We called them and they were able to come out the same day and put in the new system. That was unbelievable to us. The system they put in worked great and I would give these guys the highest recommendation possible.

From now on, Andrews will get all of my heating and cooling business.

We were pretty happy with this company. They showed up exactly when they said they would and they took their time checking everything, which made us feel good. We have actually been using this company for about 9 years now and we do not have any complaints about their services.
