J Montes Inc did a superior job in replacing my old roof with a new system. From the time Mr. Montes came to give me an estimate until the job was completed I knew that I had made the right decision to do business with him. Everything was handled with professionalism and respect from the communication before the job to the men doing the job. I so appreciate all the hard work and wonderful job the whole company did to make this tough decision on who to use such an easy and seamless one. I bought a new home, which needed a new roof (revealed during the inspection). That was worked into the sale of the house to be completed after closing. The prior owner got an estimate from Jon Montes, as he completed several other roofing projects in my neighborhood. The crew arrived on time and began work. It took longer than expected to my disappointment, as the weather report for the second day was calling for rain. It didn't rain a drop. I was told the crew would be back to complete the work on Sunday, but they never arrived. When I called the supervisor, he contacted the crew who then advised him they would not be completing the job until Monday. None of this was a big deal, as no one can control the weather and I didn't expect anyone to work on Sunday. I just wish the communication was a little better regarding that aspect. Again, not a big deal AT ALL. The roof was eventually completed and it looks great. They even came back out when I found an area of plywood in the attic I thought looked concerning and made sure everything was done properly. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

We saw the deal on Angie's list, but when we called, the receptionist told us to wait, Mr. Montes may be able to save us even more money. Mr. Montes came out personally and provided our estimate. He was very courteous, and considerate of our time. We discussed materials, and he made some excellent recommendations. His was the second quote we had gotten, and decided within minutes that we didn't need any more quotes. His was extremely competitive, and he did in fact save us more than the deal on Angie's list. We accepted the contract and set the date. The company called and asked us if they could come out sooner than the original date, and we were happy to accept. The foreman arrived just after 6am on the day of the work, and the crew was hard at work by 7am. Taking off the old roof, doing some repairs, and installing the new roof, the crew was done by lunchtime, and their work looks fabulous. They were very thorough in their clean up. We were so impressed from start to finish, they went above and beyond, and the final price was exactly what they quoted. The new roof looks beautiful!

J. Montes was extremely professional in every way. We had several roofing contractors come out and give us an estimate. They were the only ones to offer to a very fair price to either repair or replace our roof. Their phone staff was very professional and attentive. The were very honest in all their dealings with us. Their crew was incredibly efficient and hard working! They showed up promptly at 7:30 am and were finished by about 2 pm with a 3000 sq ft house's roof. Clean up was thorough. I was very satisfied with their friendliness, integrity and service.

Received three estimates for replacing roof. Decided to go with J Montes. Every time I contacted J Montes Inc resulted in timely and professional responses by Jon or Heather. Always friendly and helpful, never pushy. The crew showed up on the day scheduled a few minutes before sunrise. Once the sun came up, they were on the roof and did not stop until the roof was finished. They completed the shed in minutes. Cleaned up the yard and were gone before sunset. I doubt there is a better roofing crew anywhere. Highly recommend J Montes and company!

Even though they took an extra half day from their estimate to finish the job, I was thrilled to see the craftsmanship and pride these guys showed in being willing to take the time to finish the job correctly instead of just making it pretty on the outside. They were a hardworking, talented crew that cleaned up the yard nicely after they were finished. The office staff was polite and attentive to all my questions. Jon was up front about the problems that the previous roof had, named a competitive price, but encouraged us to shop around and did not pressure us at all, although he was confident that we would be happy with the new roof, and we are.

From the initial quote to completion of services this was the best experience. Such a group of kind, respectful professionals who always kept me inform of the progress of my roof. I would recommend them to any and everyone I know.

I called J Montes 800 number, which appears to be some type of answering service, and requested an estimate to install aluminum wrap and vinyl soffit on a brick house. About a week later, with no call from J Montes, another contractor came to my home and said J Montes had referred him and asked if I would be willing to use him. After discussing the project with him I said yes and he said he would talk to J Monters and call me back. After not hearing from him for a week and a half I called J Montes 800 number again and left a message for a return call and after another two weeks with no return call I hired someone else. The reason I called J Montes was that I had previously used him and he was responsive and did good work for a fair price. But this time he failed on two counts, failing to return calls and referral to my home without permission.

It went great. Everything was done very professionally , on time , very fast, zero mess. Great team and fantastic work.

Showed up on time, removed old shingles and underlayment, replaced bad sections of roof boards and reinstalled new underlayment and shingles. Cleaned the gutters of all debris and walked the premises to ensure no nails were left behind. It looks great and no leaks! All done in one day.

I first met Jon Montes in the summer of 2014 when he was one of five ?reputable? companies I?d called to give my leaking roof an estimate for repair. It was going to be my final attempt to ?fix? what I?d already sunk several thousand into with no success but replacement seemed monetarily out of reach at the time and I was tired of dealing with buckets and dreading the summer storms. With some trepidation, I met each company knowing luck hadn?t been on my side in the past and with each company I got an estimator that promised they could repair what couldn?t be repaired before them. Then I got Jon, the actual owner of the company, who immediately said a repair was impossible which I instinctively knew but needed to hear from someone not only well versed in the industry but by someone with the integrity to stand behind their work. I trusted him from the get-go and from that moment forward, I stopped my search for repairs and started saving for replacement knowing Jon was the one for my roof. That brings me to June of 2015? Not only did he remember me but he remembered my whole roof and all its many quirks that were going to need special attention (built in 1941 with several ?iffy? flat roof additions as well as the 4 pitched roofs). I did call for estimates from several other companies, but honestly, it was never going to be anyone but Jon. He sold me on our first, brief meeting with his knowledge and honesty. His estimate fell in the middle of the final four I received for full roof replacement with hands down the best warranty on both the shingled and TPO systems his company installed. He not once tried to sell me on anything I didn?t need and explained what he felt I did need to make the roof more efficient and ready to stand the test of time and elements. He was also more than willing to talk me through each concern and question I had no matter how trivial some seemed thinking back on them now. He even allowed me a last minute change in shingle color less than 12 hours from the start time without giving me any grief! The crew and supervisor showed up on time as scheduled after a slight weather delay by no fault of theirs of course. They worked effortlessly together and tarped off everything, delicately worked around plants/trees as well as patio furniture then meticulously cleaned up both days they were on my property. Each of them were gracious and full of smiles despite the daunting job that was in front of them. Jon and his supervisor then both followed up with me afterwards via email and phone calls. It has now been a full month and we?ve had everything from drizzle to driving rains and I can FINALLY say after 11 years that ?My roof no longer leaks!? I can?t thank Jon and his company enough for the peace of mind they?ve given me and highly recommend them to everyone. Do not hesitate to call them. You will not be disappointed! THANK YOU!!!

I called Montes on the 24th. I spoke to a girl there. About 3 hours later John called and told me he would call me the following day; which he did! He came inspected the roof and said everything looked good. I said let me pay you ! No charge. I will not have any qualms about recommending Montes Roofing. I had received several estimates on replacing my roof. We decided to go with J. Montes Inc. Jon was very informative when he came to the house for the estimate. Answered all my questions. He was easy to reach by phone. The crew arrived just before 7am and went right to work. I could see that they worked really well together, experienced. As one was clearing away furniture from my deck someone was right behind him putting down the tarps. They had placed tarps all around the house to protect my bushes and flowers. As they started to clear the roof shingles another was right there cleaning up. If not for the new roof, you would not have known they were there. They cleaned everything up. Placed all my furniture back on my deck just as I had it. They were fabulous!!

What a true professional in every way! I have several properties & have been using the same roofing company for 20+ years. My "old" company had dissappointed me on my last 2 jobs and when I saw Jon (J Montes) sign in my neighborhood during several roof replacements I liked what I saw. Workers working, clean job site, and with-in 1 day a beautiful new roof. I actually talked directly to my neighbors who had Jon do their roofs and they couldn't stop talking about what a great job Jon & his hard working crew did. Of course I had to check him out on Angies List as a member and all his reviews read like what my neighbors told me. So, I called Jon and he came out walked my roof and gave me an estimate. No pressure, thanked me for the chance to earn his business and dropped off samples of 3 different roof colors I liked. Picked out the roof color and scheduled an install date and it was such a relief to have gone so smooth. Day of installation on a very large house & garage/shed his workers showed at 7am and for 12 hours straight on one of the hottest days in May completed the entire roof! Not only did they do a great job his workers even on the 12th hour were cleaning every bit of debris at times on their hands & knees with hand brooms then a blower. My yard was actually cleaner after they left then before they came. The debris trailer was even removed by 8pm. I can promise you that in 30+ years of owning many properties it is VERY hard to find a company that will get a review like this from me!! Just when I thought companies that work hard, do what they say they will do and go above and beyond were no where to be found........Jon has proven 1st hand that there are such companies that still take pride in their craft. A+++ to Jon and his very hard workers for making me a believer again! I look forward to working with you again soon on other jobs.

Jon Montes and his team is true professionals and would recommend to anybody. They did what the deal said and more! He suggested a better brand of shingles and they look great! And also suggested to replace my old skylights and gave me a great price. I am very happy with the job and especially the way his team cleaned up after the job. They went above and beyond! It was great. They did a great job. They were very very honest. They did very good work. They were always there making sure that they were doing the right work. They finished exactly when they said they would. They did a very good clean-up afterwards. The staff was very professional. They weren't the cheapest but it was definitely very good. I would absolutely use them in the future.

After receiving several estimates to replace our original (approx.24yrsold)roof,reading several hundred customer reviews for the estimates received,we decided to go with J Montes Roofing.From the initial contact Mr. Montes was very courteous and professional in our business relations and throughout several weather delays.He kept in close contact to insure that the work would be completed as soon as possible. On the day of tear off and installation,John (supervisor) and crew arrived early and ready to go to work. They proceeded to cover and/or remove any items that could possibly be damaged. They completed the installation and clean up the very same day to include making sure that any old materials were removed from our neighbors property as well. We are so pleased with the end result that we have referred several neighbors and also will not hesitate to call Mr. Montes for any future roofing needs.

We called Jon for an estimate and he responded quickly and came by to perform an inspection and estimate within hours of our initial contact. Jon was professional, courteous and prompt. Our roof was installed earlier than the promised date and the customer service was outstanding. The roofers arrived at 6:45 a.m., exactly as promised and the whole project was completed before 5 p.m. They covered and protected our plants and yard and cleaned up all of the roofing debris before they left. Jon followed up on several occasions after the completion of the roof replacement . He and his team met and exceeded our expectations. The new roof has enhanced the curb appeal of our home and we have received multiple compliments. We highly recommended J. Montes Roofing and have given his information to several of our friends.

Jon was recommended by a land and lawn contractor who was doing work on my yard as other companies were coming to give me quotes. He gave me Jon's contact information, and within a day Jon was out to give me a quote. I thought I wanted GAF, but he talked to me about the differences between GAF and CertainTeed. We ended up going with a CertainTeed Landmark Pro product. The color Jon recommended is beautiful, and I was very happy with the entire process. His crew was professional and they did a great job with details. And it turns out this was the best price of my three other quotes!

I contacted Jon and told him that we had an issue with mildew in our garage and room above the garage. We had already contacted an AC representative and a mildew expert and neither one was able to determine the cause. To complicate the issue, we were going out of town and needed to have it checked prior to our departure. Jon was willing to come out immediately and very quickly determined the source of our problem...It took him about 2 hours to fix our problem and would not take any money for his services!!!!! Jon is very engaging and very very capable. I want to thank Jon for being honest. Someone else could have easily made a bigger deal about the cause and I would not have know the difference. After getting two other estimates Jon was the lowest and offered the most. We decided to go with his company. As it was a rainy start to the week Jon said he and his crew would be out Friday the 16th of Jan. Prior to coming out his representative came and introduced himself to us, giving us the same timeframe. The morning of the 16th the crew arrived at approximately 0630 AM. The crew put covers all around the house covering up the landscaping and bushes and proceeded to rip off the old roof. By the end of the day the new roof was installed and found that new skylights were not the right size. Rather than incur more expense, the old skylights were re-installed and price was adjusted accordingly. Cleanup was started. By then it was getting dark so the crew said they would be by the next morning to finish the cleanup. The next morning they were here bright and early and did an outstanding job. I have nothing but praise for this company and crew. They are truly professional and caring. I was told numerous times that if any problems occur to not hesitate to call them. When you find the best you stick with the best. I found the best.
