Read above, it went extremely well. Jason works his tail off and doesn't mess around when it comes to electrical work. His expertise is unmatched and he gives you ideas and options and then let's you choose what best suits your budget and needs. He's a one man show and hard to get a hold of but his wife really runs the office side of things and communicates everything very well. Would definitely hire again, except you need to book him at least 2-3 weeks out because he's probably he most reasonable, honest, and hard working electrician out there! You're stupid not to at least obtain an estimate from Parker Electric. Thanks Jason!

Jason is always awesome. He loves what he does and just wants to help people. He never nickels and dimes. As a matter of fact, I think he under charges most of the time. I always expect it to cost more than it does. Jason is my "electric guy". I will never use anyone but him.

Very professional service. Great advice and recommendations as well. I used 4 hours of the 6 hour special with total cost of $350 ($450 value). I have 2 hours left over in which they will credit me towards my next project or need. I do all my own work but when it comes to electrical and building codes I go with a certified contractor. I highly recommend Parker!

Mr. Parker is an excellent professional. I had not been able to get anyone to do this group of small items for us. He came by as scheduled, gave an estimate and came back to do the work on schedule. He finished the work ahead of schedule and charged me less because of it. His work is top notch and he is a pleasure to have around. I highly recommend Parker Electric for home electric work.

Jason was an excellent electrician. He was very personable and pleasant and answered my many many questions about other electrical issues in our house in a professional and informative manner. I was also very pleased with the woman with whom I spoke on the phone as she also was very informative and definitely knew her stuff! I will definitely be using Parker Electric for all my electric needs in the future.

Parker Electric was actually the 4th company I'd talked to about my attic fan. It's about 15 ft up and above the stairs that lead up into the attic. One electrician had said he wouldn't be able to access the fan because of its location. Another electrician was equally pessimistic about getting to it and suggested I call a roofing company. The roofer quoted me a price of $709. When I first called Parker Electric I had to leave a voice mail, but they were very prompt in getting back to me. I spoke with them on a Tuesday and got an appointment to look at the fan in my attic for that Thursday between 6-8 pm. Jason called just before 6. I explained to him that I was having trouble finding someone to provide the service. He didn't have any trouble at all accessing the fan and installing the replacement. He was done in an hour, and he saved me a considerable amount of money. I'll definitely be calling him again.

Service provided was great. Determined the issue and repaired the problem, going the extra mile to get the job done. Also provided an estimate for additional work to be done in the future and will apply leftover funds to that project.

Arrived as scheduled. Tested upstairs electrical circuitry and determined that a light switch that controlled an outlet in one bedroom was shorted. Replaced switch.

Professional and friendly. Knew what he was doing.

Jason was right on time, was very personable and after we gave him an idea of what we were looking for, gave us his opinion on the best means of achieving our goal, which in the end meant less work (and time) for him. We bought one of their deals on Angie's list, and have several hours remaining for use on other electrical projects - we will be calling him soon to get other work done!!! Service call was scheduled for 11, but received a call from Jason a few hours earlier, indicating he was in the area and able to start the job earlier if it was convenient for me. It was (better, actually), He showed up 5 minutes later and began work promptly. He informed me of a missing part to an antique-store light purchase I had made a few months ago. I was prepared to go out and purchase the replacement part while he worked the other 2 jobs, but he said he might be able to salvage the missing piece from the light I was replacing. This turned out to be the case, so no additional material purchases were required. Jason was professional, courteous, and very efficient. When I originally called about the job, I was planning on purchasing the 2-hr Angie's list special deal, but was advised that my 3 jobs could be completed in under an hour, so I just went with their basic service call rate. Very pleased with the services.

It was a Saturday, very cold (20 degrees) and my husband had gone to help his son move. About 8:00pm I noticed that half of our house did not have power. Some lights worked others didn't, some outlets worked others didn't. Unfortunately the furnace was one of the things that did not work. My mother lived with us and was in a hospice program (she has since passed). Knowing we could not get someone out on a weekend or it would be very expensive, we used our gas fire logs and two electric heaters in outlets that worked to keep Mom and us warm until Monday morning. We called Parker electric and spoke to Mrs. Parker she was very sweet when I explained the problem and said she would have Mr Parker call us back ASAP. He did, almost immediately. Rather than coming out and looking at things he walked my husband through some tests on the circuit breaker board and quickly diagnosed the problem as being Dominion Power's line into the house and not our house itself. He gave us the number to call and report the issue and wished us well. I cannot tell you how impressed I was that this fine, honest and professional man took his time and not our money to help us in our time of need. Keeping my dying mother warm was paramount and Mr Parker even suggested what we should tell Dominion when we called. I can't thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone. Mr. Parker was awesome, very personable, and direct. He was running a bit behind, but called to let me know, which I appreciated! The time we were scheduled is the start of traffic locally, so that is to be expected. Mr. Parker, definitely knows his craft and is very efficient and time effective. In less than an hour he was able to complete all of the items that I needed to and discuss things I need to have done still. He is very friendly and puts people at ease, which is nice to have when having someone working in your home. I definitely plan on using Parker Electric again in the future.

Megan was awesome!! When I explained the issue she said it might be fixable with just a switch reset so she called my tenants and talked them through finding the correct switch. There was no need for a service call/charge. Awesome customer service!!!! She could have sent someone out for a service charge but she didn't. Much appreciated and I will definitely call Parker Electric in the future and recommend them to everyone!

Everything went as expected. Only negative was that we were told to get the required permit but in actuality, it was his responsibility.

The big deal worked out well. I have several electrical jobs to be done and I would use them for the next 2 years. I have no dislikes about them. The main like was, I've had electricians before who were just terrible, but his work was very neat.

He did what he said what he would do and did it in a timely fashion. He cleaned up after himself. I am quite satisfied.

Jason arrived on time for both the quote and the work day. If you have the ability to get a military discount, he will meet with you at Home Depot so you can pay for materials and save a bit of money over having him buy materials. Even if he buys the material, he does not charge a markup. When I called for a quote, he was able to come out the next day. When I called to schedule the work, he was available in less than 10 days, which is outstanding for a non emergency job that takes a full day to complete. Jason quoted me 10 hours of labor for the job, but said if the job went faster I would only pay for the actual time spent on the job. Even while answering a ton of questions, Jason finished in about 8 hours. The panel looks amazing, and he even discovered existing wiring underneath the house that would allow me to conveniently, cheaply, and easily add three more 20 amp circuits in the future. Jason and Megan took care of all the permitting, and the inspector quickly signed off on the work without complaint or issue. I will happily have Jason back to my home for any future electrical work, and would highly recommend him to anyone needed an electrician in the Hampton Roads region.

Showed up on time, very pleasant, very professional, very nice guy who really knew his business. Expertly diagnosed and fixed the problem, explained what was wrong and how he fixed it very clearly and all for a very reasonable price, which was much appreciated. Great value, we will definitely call Mr. Parker whenever we have an issue on our home.
