Mid Atlantic arrived exactly as scheduled and Bobby and Travis started completely removing the old deck - Their plan was to replace the old deck without using any of the existing materials and expanding the decks footprint. Robert (the owner) worked with us to tweak the design throughout the entire process. We changed our mind an a few items and some existing concrete and trees necessitated some additional tweaks. Robert bent over backwards to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. His company clearly had one focus - the customer. We now have a beautiful knot-free deck bringing the house, pool and waterfront property together. The team attacked the fence next with a similar plan - everything old had to go and new fencing installed. Again, superior customer focus to ensure when they finished and left, we had smiles on our faces. Mission accomplished! Mid Atlantic delivered more than we bargained for. In spite of some owner induced tweaks and unforeseen minor alterations, Robert stayed exactly on the estimated price. Our neighbors were so impressed with the team and quality of work, they hired Mid Atlantic for work on their property. We would highly recommend Robert and Mid Atlantic Exteriors to anyone looking for decking and/or fencing.

Outstanding! The crew rolled in one morning, had the old structure torn down and removed, and the new structure put up by early afternoon. We really like how the new shower deck matches our house. We would definitely use them again.

Overall, I was very happy with the guys and the quality. However, a very strange thing happened at the end when I tried to get a receipt and questioned them about little piece of railing that wilt, they were going to come out but never did and I called them back several times and I haven’t heard anything from them since. So they never checked that for me or never got me a receipt, which is strange because they did a great job, the workers were really nice and then they did not follow through with the easy tasks. When I called, he did say that he can check the railing and get me a receipt but never called me back. Not only that but another thing that was strange was that after I gave them a fifty percent deposit for the start, which was no problem, I actually had to call them, almost two weeks later to ask if he was going to come by and get the balance. I thought that was strange because most people want their money upfront. When he was here, he took his time with everything and was not in a big hurry to get the balance, he said his guys would come by the following week, I called to say they didn’t make it and they were supposed to come out again but they never did. I told him again and I haven’t heard anything, so it all seemed really strange, to go through all the hard work, do a good job and then let it go. He kept saying that he was busy but, no excuse for that.

My husband contacted this provider twice by phone and once by e-mail. to discuss replacing a fence. I suggested this provider based on the excellent reviews on Angie's list. One week later - no response at all. Not sure what happened or what made our experience so different from all those who had such great experiences before. I do see today that one other person wasn't called back recently as well. Too bad this provider dropped the ball after providing such excellent service in the past.

Mid-Atlantic Exteriors LLC removed an existing deck, hauled old wood away the same day. Rebuilt 24?x14? deck and added a 14?x 8? pergola with a privacy screen. Provided their own generator when our power supply failed to support. Mid-Atlantic Exteriors LLC did an excellent job, fast, efficient and provided exactly what we wanted. Entire project took less than a week even though rain disrupted most work days.

His guys were prompt, worked all day and didn't mind if you asked questions. If they didn't know the answer, they would find out and follow up with us. Robert was on the work site almost every day, making sure everything was done right the first time. The guys cleaned up every day and were even nice to our pets! Seriously, they are professionals who take pride in their work. The job was to take two weeks, but with three days of solid rain in those two weeks, it took an extra three days. That's not their fault. The best part - they sanded the deck rails and boards when they were finished. The estimate was the final price, which was in the same ballpark as the three other estimates we got. It was a huge job - approximately 900 sf deck - so we knew the price was going to be high, but you get much more than what we paid for. Service, value, quality of construction materials, and a positive attitude are priceless! If you need an electrician, he has one, but if you have an electrician who can do deck work, it may be better to go with who you trust and know, and Robert is flexible, as his price does NOT include electrical.

Mid-Atlantic did a fantastic job. The quality and craftsmanship were superb. Great attention to detail. Consummate professionalism. The team they sent were friendly and open to questions. Great crew!

I called Mid-Atlantic Exteriors to schedule a quote on a back deck. After being 30 minutes late, I called to see what was up. The owner had accidentally scheduled our estimate to be given by an employee on vacation. Instead of leaving us high and dry, the owner dropped what he was doing and came out himself within the hour. We had a few interesting challenges to getting our deck built, including our crawl space entry, a gas meter, and our existing concrete steps, but Mid-Atlantic was able to accomodate our needs safely and effectively. It took a 2-man team about a day and a half to finish our 12x18 deck. The owner was there at the start and at the finish to ensure job accuracy and site cleanup. Could we have found someone to do it cheaper? Probably. Do we feel we got our money's worth? Absolutely.

We hired Mid-Atlantic after we made a HUGE mistake and hired a different company to build our deck. We should have started with Mid Atlantic! We are so pleased by the timely and professional manner in which our deck was built. Exactly what we wanted. Have recommended them to friends.

Mid Atlantic replaced our deck and did an exceptional job. During the planning phase, we were given options based on price. The plan we chose transformed the appearance of the space. We are extremely pleased by the workmanship of the deck they built and highly recommend Mid Atlantic. Not only is the work top notch but the guys running the show are top notch as well!!

I don't think I can say enough. They showed up on time each day and worked all day [except for lunch breaks] to get my large Pergola done in 3 days time. The workmanship is beautiful and they consulted with me on the smallest of details. This is an extremely professional company from start to finish. I also thought their price was reasonable given the size of my project and some obsticles they faced in construction of it. My only wish would be that they did more types of construction work than they do. I will definitely be calling them in the future if I have need of any of the services they do. If you need one of their project services [fencing, siding, decks,etc.] I suggest skipping all the cheap, fly by night businesses and call Mid Atlantic Exteriors.

Mid Atlantic work is defined by excellent and fast work (employees were all business), constant communication with customer (me), and immediate correction of any problems. Anyone can do a job, but few companies are willing to invest time in correcting flaws. Mid Atlantic takes the time to ensure everything is done correctly and quickly. They would be my 1st choice in any other outdoor construction. Good job!

. I decided to give Robert an opportunity to redeem himself for the missed appointment. I found him to be personable and very apologetic. It was a job well done and he also promised me come Sping , free labor to stain the deck. He has demonstrated to me to be a man of his word!!

Called Mid Atlantic after researching Angie's List customer reviews for replacement of an aged fence. I was given an appointment for an estimate promptly. The representative was prompt, professional and personable. His presentation included digital media using a tablet which gave us examples of their work. No high pressure sales. My wife had many questions which were answered fully. Impressed, we asked for an estimate to replace a deteriorating deck on the same job. After getting the estimate and agreeing to the contract, the owner of the company, Robert Norman came by to review project and estimate before final signature for the job. Mr. Norman was an involved owner and stopped by this project and his others on a frequent basis, always asking how we felt the work was going or if we had input. The crew he assigned to our job consisted of a father and son team. These two men were great and worked well together. They answered any questions I had and kept me informed of their progress. These guys were hard workers despite the high temperatures for May. Only set backs were the intermittent heavy rains. The demolition of the old fence and deck as well as the building of the new was done in a very timely manner despite the weather. The workmanship is excellent. No problems, but should one arise I am certain Mr. Norman will take care of it

I first met Robert when I was replacing our rain gutters. He was prompt, reasonable in price, and professional. The gutters were repalced in a timely fashion and my spouse and I were so impressed with Robert as a contractor that we hired his company to redesign and replace our old deck with a no maintance composite material and open concept to our existing pool. The job was started while my family was on Vacation and was shortly completed the following week after our return. The deck is gorgeous! Robert used two tone composite material with an open concept to our pool. We are so pleased. We have lived in our home for eleven years now and we have used our new deck much more than we ever used our old deck. I would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Mid Atlantic because of the great reviews on Angie's List. We set up a time for Robert to come out and give us an estimate. He arrived exactly on time which to me is very unusual in the construction world. We showed him what we wanted done and he measured, went back to his truck and wrote up the estimate giving us several options for the back deck. After agreeing to the work to be done, I changed my mind about the decking and e-mailed Robert, hoping that it wasn't too late to make changes. He promptly returned my message and said that there was no problem. The materials were delivered on time along with a dump cart for the old deck. Bobby and his helper showed up when they were supposed to and by early afternoon the old deck was gone and new footings were being poured. They worked quietly and efficiently with a minimum of noise except for when the reciprocating saw was being used to demolish the old wood. Within 2 days the deck was done with Azek boards and vinyl railings. The vinyl for the front porch was special order but arrived within 2 days of being ordered. Front porch took as bit longer than the deck as it is @50 feet in length, but the workers showed up every day weather permitting and worked non-stop. We are so pleased with the work and the follow up by Robert. Customer satisfaction is his main goal and it shows in not only the quality of the decks but his attention to detail. Next on our list are new gutters and we will be calling him for that job also.

Even though the estimated cost was not the lowest I received, I was sold on Robert Norman's presentation and professionalism. Wood was delivered to my driveway on the day scheduled and work on the deck started the next day, as promised. A two-man team (Henry and Henry) worked hard and got the job done in a week (both deck and fence). Quality of workmanship is outstanding. Cleanup afterward was good; I found a few nails in my yard and on my driveway, but nothing excessive. I paid half up front and half when the job was done. There were no surprises and I am thoroughly satisfied with my new deck and fence. I highly recommend this company.

The work performed was done quickly and well by all the subcontractors that Rob used. I contacted seven different general contractors and big name contractor compaines around the area to replace my siding and soffit. I was very pleased with the prompt and courteous service that I received. The work was done to my specifications and Robert even took the time to come out on a Sunday and ensure that I was satisfied with all of the work. A MUST HIRE, FOR ALL OUTDOOR WORK.

Robert Norman came to my house soon after I contacted him and drew up a proposal. He was very personable, professional, and above all willing to incorporate any of my ideas and changes into the plans. His crew began and completed the job in a timely manner. Since we wanted our grill on the deck, he enlarged a section and built a small wall as a grill enclosurs. This area is very versitile since we chose not to put the grill in the area, but placed an outdoor bar table, chairs and umbrella. The deck is absolutely beautiful especially with flowers in all of the planters. I have never enjoyed my back yard s much as I do now. I sit on the deck more than by the pool now. We liked his work so much that we had him come back to build a beautiful 4 ft. custom enclosure with lattace work to hide the pool pumps and AC units. He also repaired our fence. I highly recommend Robert and his crew to anyone considering a deck or porch.

I called them on March 5th for an estimate and a few days later Robert came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate. A week later I called back to hire them. I was told that the supplies would be delivered on March 19 and they would be out the next day to begin the work. Sure enough the morning of the 19th I woke up to my driveway filled with all the supplies that were needed. On the 20th the guys were here by 9am and began to work, they worked all day with little breaks and managed to get all of the posts put up. The 21st they were here again by 9am and began putting the fence up. They managed to get almost all of it done before a storm rolled in and they had to call it quits. They finished the fence and put the gates up on the 22nd and was done by 1pm.The next day they came back to pick up the remaining wood and scheduled someone to come pick up 50 bags of concrete that was ruined that the other company left behind. Not only did they put up a wonderful privacy fence for me and my family, but they cleaned up the mess the other guy left a year ago. Mid Atlantic is a very reliable company and I would (and have) recommended them to anyone in search of a privacy fence.

I was quoted by numerous reputible compaines and contractors to replace the old rotten deck at my new home. I was frustrated after debating whether to replace the deck myself or hire a contractor to do the job. I was quoted by four other companies the estimates were nausiatingly inflated with many quoting price near $10,000.00. I decided that I was going to price the cost of materials and call my uncle to do the job, my wife and I agreed that we would call one more person for a quote. We fortunately had Mid Atlantic come out a provide us with a oustanding overall experience from start to finish. The surveyor asked us numerous questions about what we wanted from our deck, the size, features how long we planned on living in the house. After much thoughtful discussion and no pressure on his part me and my wife decided to go with the option that best fit our family and budget. We discussed our budget and price range and Mid Atlantic was more than willing to work with us to find the best deal. As promised they came to our house at the very beginning of the week and within two days built a phenomenal deck, one that I have been proud to show my family and friends. The team that built the deck had combined over 100 years of deck building experience and it showed. They finished off the edges with techniques I have never seen or heard of but am proud they did because of the amazing results. They used such technical expertise and rapid results that it was hard to imagine another company with twice as many guys being able to accomplish this task. I was even impressed by the fact that they have called since then to ensure that we are satisfied with our deck. It went very smoothly. By far the best thing about this company is the owner, Robert Norman, who listened to all my ideas, and offered invaluable assistance in picking the new colors for everything I was replacing. I originally hired this company to build a deck the prior spring, after obtaining estimates from at least 5 companies. My decision wasn't based on the lowest price, but on the quality of the company. The deck turned out great and it was such a pleasure working with this company that when I discovered the leak damage, I called them immediately, and then had them do the house siding job at the same time. Robert was on the job site every day for both jobs. His work crews are professionals. They show up and work their heart out. My only regret is that the one last job I need to do on the house is out of their line of work.
