my father in law recommended Micheal and sons from previous work they did on his house. I called his contact Stephen McNally and he had a specialist call back with in the hour to schedule. he was on time for the appointment and very courteous. he lloked over the whole unit and gave me 6 different quotes based on what I was thinking about doing. the only issue we ran into was he had forgot to check the electric box to verify I had enough amps. even though this happened he was able to work with us. after we had decided on what course of action, the techs where at the door in two days. if it wasn't for the horrible weather, work would have been done the same day with a full system install, but they took my advice and called it a night when the snow got bad. the techs were great and professional. I would recommend them specifically to friends. the electrician, even though very friendly, was not the best I would give him specifically a b+ but he did good.

They were prompt and took care of what they needed to. I did not have any problems with their availability. They came when they said they were coming and worked around my work schedule. I don’t have any complaints with them.

I have been using the company for about 3 years. The technicians do very good work. Their pricing is a little high. Once they make a repair you do not ever have to call them back out. I have had no issues with scheduling with the company.

Service tech arrived and took one look at manufacturer's label and told my wife it was 14 years old, if he repaired the water heater there was no guarantee it would work and that we should just replace it. She said to come up with some quotes and I would be home in 10 minutes. When I arrived he quoted us $1800 to just replace the water heater and around $2300 for a water heater, new water valves and a warranty and constantly assured me a master plumber was doing the work. I broke it down for him that the replacement unit was $500 at lowes, a master plumber for 4 hours at $35/hr and a helper at $25/hr was $240, let's round that to $300 and a base rate service call for random parts/fuel and processing should be less than $400, that's $1200 so where is the difference. he explained that a master plumber makes a little more than that and blah blah blah, so I told him I'm a nuclear plumber and I don't make anywhere close to that so shove it and he charged me my $30 service call fee and left. After I fumed for a bit and calmed down, I called some more places for quotes and they all quoted me the same thing, so clearly all the companies are running a SCAM on us in our area. So I called ll the 800 numbers on my unit and got ahold of the manufacturers servicing department. They told me if I felt handy enough (I plumb nuclear pipes, I thought i was handy enough) to replace the thermocouple and if that didn't work to replace the control valve box on the front of the unit. And oh yeah by the way, look it up on youtube there are plenty of videos. So I watch about 5 videos on youtube for replacing the thermocouple, run to lowes and buy an $8 part, oh and cleaned out the combustion housing like some of the videos showed and I have the hottest water I have ever had, and I didn't run out in the shower. I would have gladly payed the guy a couple hundred to fix the thing, but I wasn't gonna be ripped off for something I didn't need.

We called when our A/C system went out. I tested the condenser and found it to be grounded. (I am a retired licensed electrician) They came out and came to the same diagnosis. Interestingly, because it is an expensive diagnosis, they sent an additional technician to verify the diagnosis. This was a company policy to do this! I found this policy to be very impressive! While they were here I also had them look at the gas furnace, which I already knew was WAY past it's life expectancy and was also no longer very efficient. We chose to have it replaced. The work was scheduled to include duct cleaning, but as a result of the duct interior condition, we chose to have it replaced and the Guardian Air system installed. They did not pressure us in any way to have this done. It was offered and we chose to do it. It was also very impressive how a sales person was sent out as a result of the diagnosis. Everything was explained to great detail and we were given a choice of three systems at various prices submitted as Good, Better, and Best. We chose the best system, which would be more efficient. Each system and price was explained quite thoroughly. Our only negative comment would be that we had to wait to get it installed, but that is only because they are so popular that everyone wants them to do the work. We had to wait about a week and a half. They offered window a/c units but I already had one in the shed I put in our bedroom till the work was done. Gerry Witcher, the salesman, and technicians Andre Harris, Tom Brannan and his helper Najee, and Floyd Bonner and his helper Mike all did a great job! They always wore booties on their shoes, clean uniforms, provided their own mats to wipe their feet, and were very respectful, efficient and professional at all times. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process!

I bought one of Angies Lists "Big Deals" for $64 for a tune-up from Michael and Sons, which ended up to be not such a great deal at all. Due to an issue with our control board not functioning on our unit, we had 2 separate technicians come on 2 separate days. The first technician, Brian, was very punctual, professional, and polite. He was not able to perform the tune-up due to our board not working. (We had just replaced it 1 year and 2 weeks prior.) Since it was outside of the 1 year warranty, we asked Brian how much his company charges to replace it. Our jaws dropped when he came back with a price over $600!! (Last year we paid another company $140 for the exact same board, same manufacturer) I called to speak with a manager at M&S about price gouging the customers and got no response. Brian had also told us that the tune-up charge was currently only $49. I therefore was also not happy that I overpaid via Angies List's BIG (Bad) Deal. We found the board online for $78 and had it overnight shipped and swapped out ourselves. We then had another technician return to do the tune-up the following workday. Mike came the second time and I suppose he did the tune-up. I will note that our appt was scheduled btw 4-6. He called around 3:45 and said that he was 45 minutes away. He did not show up until 6:05. He did not apologize for the delay. He then disappeared outside to get his things and did not come back in for another 10 minutes. He came back in and said he was on the phone. After the tune-up, he was explaining his findings to us, and kept winking at my husband every time he ended a sentence, and we also felt like he was "dumbing things down" for us. We found this very bizarre and he was just overall not professional. In the end, I was able to get a refund from Angies List for my deal since I overpaid, and paid the technician their asking price for the service.

Company offered a better price on the phone when I called to schedule.

The technician called ahead to let me know he was coming, and arrived promptly. He was courteous and wore booties in the house, which is a nice touch given I'm a bit touchy about my wood floors. I suppose he performed the work just fine, cleaning out the unit and inspecting everything. I've used Michael and Son before for an HVAC tune-up, so I knew what was coming next - the sales pitch for their maintenance package. I have absolutely no interest, and tried to politely state that I would certainly think about, but the technician gave me a look like he took personal offense to my refusal. If I signed up today, I could have a plumber and electrician out here lickety-split! As a general rule, anything worth buying is worth thinking about and waiting for, so the "Act now! Don't delay!" sales pitch is a major red flag for me. Once that painful part was over, the technician left and I went about my business. However, I went outside later to find that a large panel on the HVAC unit was open, and a switch was turned to the off position. Nothing on the unit is labeled, at least not in a way I understood - just a bunch of numbers and voltage signs, so I wasn't sure if I should flip the switch or not. I called MIchael and Son, and the operator said not to touch anything and that the same technician would return within the hour. An hour and a half went by, and no one came, so I called again. The operator said the technician was finishing a job and would be on his way soon. Meanwhile, I realized that this switch must be related to the power supply, as the thermostat was set to 70, and the heat display said "on," but the temperature had dropped to 67. I waited, and waited, and three hours went by - and nothing. I hopped in the shower, and of course that's when I heard a knock on the door. The technician did whatever he needed to and left before I got out, and it seems to work fine now. I won't be using Michael and Son again because of the (1) ridiculous sales pitch for the maintenance package and its ridiculous price, but more importantly because (2) how terribly inconsiderate and unprofessional the whole situation with the open HVAC panel was. If you can't send someone till the end of the day, just tell me, rather than have me wait around all day with the promise that someone is on their way.

The employee was very thorough in looking over the house and under the house to determine the parameters of the job. They gave me an estimate on the spot, confirmed with email and followed that up with phone calls.My only complaint is there were too many calls even after I explained that I was in the process of getting estimates for comparison.In the end they did not get the job because I used a company that did the work for $2000 vs the $7100 Michael's quoted. The cost was the deciding factor and I am very happy with the company that did the job.

I had to call Michael and Sons around five to six. The appointment was scheduled between 2 and 6. The office clerk was polite and professional. I was placed on hold while they checked to see how much longer it would be. The clerk offered to reschedule but I had already wasted my afternoon and did not wish to do that. He said the tech would be here in the next 30 minutes or so. A few minutes after that conversation, the tech called. He apologized and offered to reschedule as well. I told him no, to come on. When Tory arrived he apologized again. Stated that things had been very busy and he wanted to be thorough in his inspections. He was polite, professional and obviously knew his job. He walked me through all the different steps he took, offered suggestions and made sure I understood what he was doing. He could not have been more pleasant. I would use this service again in the future. Would like their time frame to be closer to what was stated.

Troy Did An Excellent Job With The Neighbor's Heating Unit. She Called For The $49 Tune Up Special And I Helped Her To Get The Yearly Home Warranty. She Called In The Morning And Troy Came On Time The Same Afternoon. Troy Is Very Friendly And Knowledgeable With The Job. He Answered Every Question We Had And Then Some. Thank You Very Much .The Home Warranty Seems To Be A Terrific Value Especially If A Repair Is Needed. I Have Used Michael And Son In The Past And They Were Quick And Professional Just Like This Time. Thank You Gary And Troy.I Would Definitely Recommend Them.

They do all of our electrical, plumbing, heat and A/C work. It's excellent. They are the only people we will call. We tell friends and family that they are the best.

Leon was punctual, professional, and courteous. He was able to pinpoint and repair a troublesome vent and repair it in no time. He cleaned his work area and our electrical woes are no more. Would definitely recommend this company and Leon for any future electrical jobs you may have.

Excellent work. The company was courteous and prompt. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They were always on the job 10 minutes before they scheduled the appointment. The contract was simplified which was nice as well.

electrician was excellent- I told him the GFI was b broken-he spent 5 minutes replacing it the bill was $ 328.00 - I was given a courtesy military discount making it $ 286.00. I thought that was a rather expensive cost so I called \the Head electrician and he said he would liik into it, He never called back with a response. I am planning a new renovation with dock and boat house for my house and will need an electrician. Michael and Son will definitely not be considered . Definitely unethical

We hired Michael and Sons to install new lights in our master bathroom. Leon, the technician who performed the work was punctual and very professional. He presented us with several options and thoroughly explained the project as well as the corresponding estimates. He was exceptionally neat and thoroughly cleaned up at the completion of the project. The lights were installed with all new wiring and new switches in just a few hours, and our bathroom was just as clean as it was before he started. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the product as well. I absolutely recommend Michael and Sons and will most certainly call them again for future electrical work.

The Electrician who came out, was punctual, friendly and polite. We were pleased with the price and the options that were presented to us. We've set up for the work, and they are doing that in a timely manner as well. Important to us as we currently couldn't use our stove!

The tune-up went well! They gave me a verbal summary of their findings, and it turns out that we needed a whole new unit (the coil was leaking). There were no issues with scheduling. They were very professional, too.

Because traffic is bad in the area they showed up a little late. Worked all day and did not leave until we had air. They were very polite and courteous. I would definitely use them again. They honored their word and worked with us through it all.

Everything went smoothly and on time. Technicians were very polite, thorough and respecting of our home and our time. They made sure that no mess was left behind and they did their work professionally. They did what they said they would do. Made payments easy.

Outstanding Service. I had requested Leon Patton (electrician) due to previous good experience with his service. He called at the beginning of the time window to update me on his arrival time ( I really appreciate the courtesy). When he arrived he took all precautions to protect and maintain cleanliness of the job site. I have new granite countertops and he took care to cover them before starting work. The outlets in questions (due to a home inspector hit list) had been installed by 3 different technicians. All were improperly installed requiring rewiring of each outlet. Leon did a very thorough job and all outlets are functioning properly and are up to code. I have repeated positive experience with Michael and Sons and for electrical work I will always request Leon. Highly recommend Leon for any electrical work.

First, the young lady who set up the appointment was polite and gave me the date and time I requested. On the scheduled day I received a call informing me that Jonathan was running late and would call when he left his current job. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and listened while I explained the problem. Once the receptacles were replaced, he explained the problem, showing us the burnt wires. Jonathan is an asset to Michael & Son and I will request him for any future work.

This was an extremely complex and invasive project which included multiple staff from this company. Phillip provided the estimate and detailed explanation of the project. The management staff (Steve and Phillip) assisted me with level of service options and financial options. They insured me this project would be completed and within my budget. Mr Gibbs (customer service) contacted me multiple times through out the project. Ryan and Tyree were the plumbers assigned. They treated my house as if it were their own. They were pleasant, professional and personable. They entire project was performed exactly as projected without any unplanned costs.
