Description of Work: Was told by another Hvac co. that my pan drip pan was cracked and some gasket was also cracked in order to fix this would be a half a days work and cost 1300-$1800. The reason I called was the furnace was dripping water running into downstairs ceiling vent where filter was. The only problem with furnace was it was supposed to have a filter in it. I did not know so I never told my tenant to change it. Some how the first guy blew out the water line fixing the problem but he was not satisified with that he then questioned the tenant to see my financial situation to see if he could get the 1st price I alreardy wrote about or a whole new unit for 8-9 thousand. dollars. Jmr cleaned my coil on my heat pump serviced furnace and heat pump and made me very happy. Thank you JMR. Crawl space people and hvac people are the ones you really have to watch out for their are really bad people around here. One put my hvac unit in backwards in my attic. Another took my 3 year old ac unit ,I paid for a new one and I saw it on Craigslist he was selling it for 450. Another stole my water heater from my back yard in portsmouth. My stories go on and on.

Description of Work: JMR was engaged as a sub-contractor through my normal company. They came for the annual maintenance/inspection and later that evening the system (A/C) quit working. The workmanship seemed fine and the tech was nice, but in the end we were presented with a repair statement with no pricing and one sheet that had $0.00. Cannot say if the part that needed to be replaced was damaged by their tech or not. I just don't know that much about the system. We thought it must have been a warranty covered repair or their way of acknowledging they damaged the system by accident. Our normal company proceeded to send us a bill for almost $700 for the repairs. | |When I challenged they replied that JMR stated they discussed the price with us. If I had known the repair would cost that much, I would have put it off or gotten competitive quotes. It was the end of summer and I could have gone without A/C for a while. | |In the end I am out the cost of the repair, and have sense changed companies. I don't know who was not being truthful, but I know we were NOT aware of the costs. Neither company will be allowed to work on my systems again. | |The technician seemed very knowledgeable about repair and was always nice. All I can say, is if you try them out get a written estimate with either a price or $0.00 on ALL forms and have them sign all documents.
