Description of Work: We had a complete master bathroom remodel done. We were very pleased with all aspects of the project from beginning to end. They were always prompt and courteous, and the labor and materials were of exceptional quality. They made sure we were happy through every step of the process.We plan on using them again for a future remodel.

Description of Work: When first meeting with Mr. Harris, he portrayed his company as having the same crew for a number of years giving the impression that sub-contractors would not be used. They rely heavily on sub-contractors, and the coordination between them is very bad. We were given an estimate of a month to finish the project, but it was not finished until the later part of November. People did not show up to work for large stretches at a time. They did not follow the manufacturer's installation instructions for the Hardi-Plank siding, so we had them remove this and replace with vinyl siding. They did not install this IAW the manufacturer's installation instructions either; they had to remove this and put new vinyl on. I had to call the Hardi-Plank and the vinyl siding manufacturers to hear it straight from them that the Jerry Harris contractor/sub-contractor employees were not installing this correctly. They attempted to put damaged vinyl siding up (they were actually gluing damaged Styrofoam insulation to the back of the vinyl siding even though there was a box of brand new siding sitting in the driveway, they did not initially install the required house wrap and then they had to replace this a sit was installed incorrectly with the wrong fasteners, they put the metal flashing in wrong, and they attempted to close large gaps with caulk rather than properly flash the walls. I had to get a lawyer involved to get them to finish up the main work. After all the time spent (wasted) and numerous rework performed, I still had to go in after they left to replace plywood flooring put in place in preparation for a tile floor to be installed. When putting the plywood on top of the existing deck boards, they did not even check to see how level the existing deck floor was. It has a very bad hump that would not have been acceptable for laying floor tile on top of. I put in a change order for LED recessed lighting, and Mr. Harris himself directed me to a specific web site that showed each of the light fixtures costing $150 or more; however, they installed light fixtures and lamps purchased from Home Depot for approximately $30 to $40 per fixture. When questioned as to why I wasn't provided the LED fixtures he had personally directed me to, he said it was out of his control and that it was his electrical subcontractor that was responsible for the bait and switch. I did not pay the extra for these lights, and again, I had a lawyer and was ready to go to court over this bait and switch tactic. I do not know how Jerry Harris construction company keeps winning the local best of the year awards. Based on the work performed for me, I would definitely not consider this company to perform any work for me again, and I do not recommend him to anyone else.
