After several quotes from other contractors in the area. We decided to hire Jayhawk Exteriors for the replacement of our roof along with wrapping the exterior wood, new gutters and soffits. They had done another roof down the block and we were impressed with the fact that the Job Forman was on the site early and often throughout the day. Arnie gave us an excellent offer that was several thousands less the our previous quotes without and sales pitch mumbo jumbo. Straight forward and professional. They were on time each day and did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day. I have not found a single nail or scrap anywhere in my yard or flower beds. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who needs to have exterior word done.

After doing much research, I decided beforehand, I wanted to use GAF shingles with a certified GAF Master Elite installer doing the work. This requirement quickly narrowed my contractor list. I received 3 estimates, all of which were comparable. I chose Jayhawk Exteriors primarily because of their representative Arnie Ireland. Arnie had an answer for every question I had, and appeared to be much more informed about roofing in general. I called Arnie on a few occasions and I’d often find he was up on a roof. That in and of itself spoke volumes. All roof vents were replaced with ridge vents, new flashing, and damaged plywood replaced as necessary. Meticulous clean up after daily work, a great looking roof, competitive price & a lifetime warranty through GAF backed by Jayhawk. Enough said.

I called them and received a return phone call within 24 hours to schedule the quote. It was raining and Arnie measured and quoted me on the spot. He saw how bad we needed the new gutters (on an addition) and replacement. I had already received a quote from another Angie's list company and they were almost equal. Arnie called to say they could start Monday (I got quoted Friday) I think he felt bad for me and all the rain coming (flooding my yard). They showed up and were finished within 90 minutes or so. Workmanship looks good and I don't see any trace they were here (other Than the new gutters :-)

We picked three top performers from Angie's List. We told each of the estimators the same thing - told them we were getting three estimates. All three estimates were within a couple of hundred of each other. Ernie Ireland was the only one to go into the attic to see what it looked like and pinpoint the damage. He also explained why our 18 year old roof had started to leak. Arnie Ireland was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. He spent a lot of time with us explaining what had happened, why it had happened and what he would do, if hired, to prevent it occurring again. He was not pushy nor did he put any pressure on us to make a decision right then It was easy for us to pick Arnie above the other Angie List companies. When he said his crew would be there to start work at 0700, he meant it. They were there at 0700. A ballon tire trailer arrived shortly after for debri. Annie even checked to see that our car was out of the garage (which he had earlier told us to do) before work began. As soon as his four man crew arrived (0700), they immediately started work by covering plants with tarps then began to work removing the existing roof shingles and vents. His team worked steadily through to the finish. There was no messing around at all. Very impressive hard workers. Clean cut and professional. They cleaned up after the roof work was completed including going over the entire yard with a huge magnet as the final step in clean up. Our yard and the yards around us were check and all roofing material removed from our yard and our neighbors. Arnie was there most of the time unless he was getting materials between start and finish of our project.

Earlier this year, I contacted 3 roofers to get quotes for a total reroof and replacement of all sheathing on my 1500 SF ranch home. The two roofers I found on Angieslist were the most responsive and I felt most comfortable with Jayhawk largely due to Jeff's attitude and professionalism. Price wise, they were virtually identical to the other quote I received. As time approached, Jeff worked with us to find a convenient time to do the work and workout all the final details. His crew arrived early the first day and had the whole house resheathed and felt installed by 7pm. The next day a smaller crew returned to install the shingles and trim everything out. Jeff and the crew worked very hard, especially considering these were the hottest days of the year, literally. I was very happy with the work and it is a huge improvement to the home. After seeing the work they did on my home, a neighbor had them back to do his a couple weeks later. The only small complaint I have is that I recently discovered the vent duct at the bathroom vent they replaced had come loose. Other than that, I spent an hour on the roof last weekend cleaning gutters and their work really does speak for itself. The work looks great, the crew was professional, and the price was fair.

Jeff (the Peninsula rep) was very responsive and professional. I recieved 4 estimates last year to replace the roof and skylights on my rental property but put off the job until this year due to cashflow. I picked Jayhawk from the group as their bid was very competitive and they had an overwhelming positive response on Angie's List. He met with me within 24 hours to review last years bid and confirmed they would stand by that price. When I mentioned a special offer listed on Angie's List he help me navigate the appropriate way to receive GAFs highest warranty essentially for no additional charge. I then handed him off to my tenants to set a date and the next thing I knew the job was done! My tenants stated he had planned for two days but essentially finished it in just one, with a satisfactory final cleanup conducted on the second day. I came by and had a look and the house looks incredible. Top Job. Highly recommend.

They were professional, on time, and they did not leave a mess when they wwre finished. They had to actually remove the old roof which had several levels of replacement since the house was built in 1974. It look great now.

The old fascia metal was not removed; they simply covered it with new fascia metal. The new fascia and drip edge are warped, and the nail heads securing the fascia metal were spray painted with a different finish paint than the gloss of the fascia metal. The workmen left trash on the property. They did call us to discuss this review and to make the work right; however, we have already hired another local contractor to fix the job as well as do some other work for us.

Would use this company again for exterior house projects. They were very professional. Installed seamless gutters on the whole house for an excellent price. One minor problem was prior notification as to what day they would be coming to do the install. Arnie, Ireland gave us the estimate and stated he would call to tell us what day they would be here to do the job. They showed up on Monday morning without notice, no big deal, but could have been a problem if we were not at home. They completed the whole job in less than two hours and look very nice. Glad we went with the color white, really looks great against the grey vinyl siding. Have already recommended them to our neighbor for the same kind of work.

This was the best decision we have made to use Jayhawk to repair our roof, We called three companies for estimate and Jayhawk was in the center of the bids. We chose Jayhawk because of Estimator Arnie. He not only measured for the roof but pointed out a large area that would need the plywood replaced. it was nice to have no surprises the day work began. Arnie and a four man crew arrived promptly at 7 AM the day work was to begin. They covered the ground in large tarps, They moved my flower pots so they would not be damaged. Arnie crew started and worked hard all day. At the end of the roof job they started cleaning my yard. witch took two hours to do, At the end of leaf blower and rakes they ran over our yard with a magnet to find stray nails, When they were done you could not tell they had ever been here. Jayhawk is a company I have recommended to friends and family. Keep up the great work.

The work was excellent and done within one week. After removing old window trim they found some rot in two window sills. "Country" quoted the overage on the spot, I accepted and in an hour or so they had removed those windows, replaced the sills, reinstalled the windows, and trimmed them. I highly recommend this company.

Did a great job! Runs a great business. Will use them again in the future.

The siding is very nice but shortly after they left the job it began falling off in hunks. I have reached out to the at least 5 times since June the last time was yesterday and was told I would receive a quick response. I am totally frustrated and I am about to call the BBB. It is a shame since they have done so well in the past. Perhaps they are over committed but it does not resolve my issue. The issue was fixed the day after I submitted this review. Thank you.

Jayhawk's rep came out to review, measure and give an estimate for new gutters and downspouts for our new home. It's 2650 square feet inside - not sure how many linear feet for the gutters, but our home is not a clean rectangle, so they needed to wrap gutters around several architectural features, which of course added to the cost. When the team came out to install, they were quick and professional. They were happy to walk around the home and go through their plan with me prior to beginning, plus they asked my opinion about placement for a couple of places on the front, to be sure it was the way I wanted for it to be installed. You wouldn't think gutters would require this much thought, but again, our home has a lot of features, higher and lower sections, and a large wrap front porch, so I was happy that they took our preferences into consideration. Was very happy with their service and would use them again.

He came out probably in May this year. I was overall pretty impressed with their service. I would use them again. I recommended them to my neighbor and my neighbor used them too. They put up a whole new roof.

Very professional and used used very high grade singles, and GAF wrap instead of felt that others used. Very pleased with work and the price was significantly below other estimates I received. Very pleased with the end results and was in and out in three days.

They did a fine job! It really looks great and we have people stop and ask who did the work. A couple pieces of siding had fallen off and they came out and fixed it right away and they actually went over the entire house again and made sure everything was tight and good to go. I would highly recommend their services to others.

They took a couple of days to finish the job. They were very good in discovering the problem that we had with leaking and they were very professional. They were very knowledgeable and excellent quality of work.
