Picked Jayhawk after reading reviews on Angie's List. Had a couple of roof shingles come off after last storm. Called at 8 am and received same day repair. Curtis was extremely helpful and professional. Excellent work, super responsive and fair price! Would definitely use again as well as recommend to others.

All windows were replaced from the outside with caulking (VERY nicely done) inside. No mess inside at all and everything was cleaned-up outside. The wrapping of the windows was extremely well done and all of the windows look great, with nice angles rather than flat, dull-looking wrap. Very nice. All work was performed in one day.

"Country" is a pleasure to work with. Its obvious that he takes an active interest in the work being done. We spent more than we had planned, but we not looking for "cheap" - we've had that! The new roof looks great. My wife and I are very pleased.

I would not recommend them to anyone else. They tried to get away without doing the job. They did not replace the trim and they left the job. Then after four weeks, they came back and finished the job.

Artie, the sales consultant and project manager, was very responsive and came out to perform an estimate within a few days after my call. Once I decided to go with them, we scheduled the work within the next week, and the roofers were in and out in under three days. Artie came to the work site several times to ensure everything was working properly. The workers were punctual, efficient and even cleaned up when they were finished! Since they did work on my house, a neighbor and friend used them and both were very pleased.

We were extremely pleased with the way the entire job went, particularly in view of the fact that I and my wife work and are gone all day. I start my day very early and commute to North Carolina, so, needless to say,our ability to comunicate with a contractor working on our house is a little difficult.Having said this I think you can see the blessing it has been to have our entire roof job completed without the slightest concern on our part. The work was overseen by Mr. Arnie Ireland,who was a delight to work with. He was very patient with our concerns about our roof and helped us to weigh all the options regarding types of shingles,the color scheme,even explaining the method that is used to install them. We knew exactly how the roof was to be put on and why they did it that way. We never felt like he was trying to sell us more than we wanted. I even changed my mind a couple of times about the roof vents.I live in a three bedroom ranch and yet Arnie's crew had all of the old roofing shingles removed ,inspected the substructure, new ridge vents and power attic fan installed and had the roof entirely reshingled that same day! I might add, a great testimony to the quality of the job is that the roof was done the same evening that a big noreaster blew into town and brought with it torrential rains and 60 mph winds and I never saw the slightest indication of a leak and not one missing shingle.Arnie's crew cleaned up so completely that out of the thousands of nails that were used, I think I found two. Not bad for finishing up after dark. Also, the debris trailer was gone the very next day. In short I can wholeheartedly recommend Jayhawk Exteriors if you need a roof or gutters. They were honest, courteous, punctual and very fast. It was a definite "two thumbs up" experience.

My serviceman was Mark Chadwick and he was phenomenal! He came out on a Friday on very short notice. I showed him the source and he went up to take a look from the outside. He provided a quote that would replace the defective soil stack boot as well as one other one in the immediate vicinity at VERY LITTLE additional expense, plus they guarantee their work for two years! Did I mention that they gave me a $50 discount? They did! GIven I have a two story house with a "extreme pitch" roof, it totally makes sense to get the next likely source of leakage repaired at the same time. Since I was going to be traveling the following week. Mike came back on Sunday and performed the work. I am totally impressed with the professionalism and customer-service attitude of Jayhawk Exteriors! They really lived up to their superb reputation. I'll never call anyone else should I need additional roof work! They are the best!

It worked out very well. They did a very good job. They were very professional, showed up on time, and did the work in the expected amount of time. They were right on the money with the estimate. We will use them again in the future.

They stuck to their estimate; which was a pretty good one. They were very responsive and came out when they said they would. The job went fast and they cleaned up really well. The roof looks great. There are a few leaks in the roof because of the rains. I kept calling them to tell them this. They said there was nothing much they could do while it was still raining and that they would come after the rains.

He did an excellent job. He came pretty much with his estimate and we were very happy with him. We hired him because he had very good ratings in Angieslist. We would absolutely use him in future.

I called for an estimate and received a call back within a few hours. Talked to Mike "Country" Higgins to set up an appointment for an estimate the very next day. "Country" showed up just a few minutes late but did try to call me to let me know he was held up. He was very friendly and professional. When I set up the appointment I told him my neighbor also needed a new roof. I asked him if he could give us a better price for doing two jobs in one location. He said he would. He did beat other estimates we had received and his estimate included installing ridge vents and replacing wood where the box vents were. He had plenty of samples and made some good recommendations. He provided a package with the written estimate and details of what work would be performed. The package included copies of all licenses and membership certificates to various builders associations and the BBB. There were letters from other satisfied customers and a copy of the Angies list reports. I felt very confident that I would use Jayhawk Exteriors before he left but decided to wait until I could talk it over with my neighbor. We both agreed we were happy with the estimate and that he had given us the best price for more work and we called "Country" within a few hours to tell him he had the jobs. He came back the next day to have us sign the contracts and set up a date to complete the work. "Country offered a date for 6 days later and I agreed. Country assured me that he would be the one who ordered all materials and would see the job through from start to finish and would be on the job site for most of the day. I asked him if he needed any of the money up front. He said that I would pay when the job was finished and I was happy with the job. In fact I didn't pay him for almost a week after the job because rain kept them from coming to do my neighbors roof. On the agreed upon date 4 mostly non-english speaking workers showed up at 7:30 and began removing my existing roofing. One of the workers left to finish up another job but I was assured the job would be finished before the forcasted rain came at 5:00 pm. The materials showed up when "Country" said they would and were placed on the roof with a conveyor. The dump trailer showed up when they said it would and remained in my driveway until the following morning as discussed. "Country" did have to leave for a while. I remained at home most of the day just because that's the way I am. There were a couple times when I called "Country" to make sure something was going to happen as per our previous discussions. I also noticed that the Chimney Flashing and a couple pluming vent collars were not on the job site. Country assured me it would be taken care of, and it was. The job was completed at 4:30 but the rain came a few hours earlier than expected. Luckily it didn't rain hard and the job was mostly finshed anyway. The crew did a pretty good job of cleaning up. I did find a few nails on the ground and in the gutters but fewer than I expected. Overall I was very happy with the whole experience and the results. I understand they have 4 separate crews. I would definitely recommend Jayhawk Exteriors and Mike "Country" Higgins and his crew.

I left a message with the office at 8 am and the contractor returned my call at 8:30 am. He came to our home late morning to give a free estimate. Within a couple of days the work was completed satisfactorily. The contractor was very professional throughout the service process.

After a couple of calls we were contacted by Arnie. He came by in mid-September and gave us a very competitive quote. I informed him that we were getting a couple of more quotes that week and that we would contact him by the end of the week. After talking to other companies I called him back on Friday and we agreed to a price for upgraded gutters and set a installation date of the next Thursday or Friday, which would have been the 25th/26th. In the mean time he would be coming by to check the color of our trim against some samples that he had. We never saw or heard from them for any of these visits. I called them back on the 29th (Monday) and was told that there must have been some confusion and Arnie would be back out to check the samples and we would set up installation for the following week. He again stated that I he was really sorry and that he would see me before the end of the week. He repeatedly mentioned that the gutter business was really slow and he would give me a great deal since I promised to review them on Angie's list. That was the 29th of September and I have not heard from them since. He was a nice enough guy but I should not have to 'pester' someone into doing work for me.

I discovered I had water damage in a recently vacanted rental house I own. Mark Chadwick came out the same day I called to investigate and give me an estimate on reparing it. He discovered that when the old heating system had been installed in this early 1900's house, a rafter had been cut to make room for the smoke stack. He said the roof was sagging due to lack of support and was leaking. He explained he needed to reinforce the rafter with 2 x 4's, put 3/4" plywood in the open area, plus felt, new shingles, chaulking, etc. It was to rain the next day and he scheduled the repair first thing the next day. He was right on time and fixed the roof. He even check out other areas and chaulked them. He was very professional and efficient.

Jayhawk Roofing responded after my previous report where I identified their services as being unsatisfactory. They showed up on time and did a great job sealing my plumbing vent collars. When done they refused to accept any payment. They were more concerned with their reputation, which is a very good thing. I will call them again.

The job went smoothly. The crew, with dumpster, was there early and was finished and everything cleaned up that same day. The premises were left clean and orderly. The crew was friendly and professional. There was a loose shingle on the house and they even went up there and fixed it for us.

Great windows. I plan on having siding done next year and will let Country bid on the siding. I will give roofing work to somebody else.

I called to get an estimate to get a leak in my roof fixed. When talking to the girl on the phone I asked if they did windows and she said yes. I asked to set up an appointment for both windoes and the roof. Only the window guy ever contacted me. Mike "Country" Higgins gave me the estimate and it was his crew that installed the windows. They were great. We are pleased with the final project - especially the new French doors.

We called various experts on architectural roofs for estimates. Our roof is much larger than the usual. We got estimates of almost $40,000 with a special "one day only" presentation if we signed that day. We got another estimate of about $25,000 from a company whose sales person turned out to be one of my neighbors. When we signed with Jahawk, they gave us a very good price for the same materials that were presented by the other two companies for a much better price. The did the work quickly and cleaned up perfectly. We are very satisfied!

they arrived on time - worked non stop all day - except for lunch. allowed me to ask questions and take pictures. They were safe and tied in w/ ropes on the very steep part of the roof.

I was happy with the service from the initial estimate to the completed job and have already recommended Jayhawk Exteriors to others on my street who have come by to admire their work.

The entire experience, from setting up the estimate to having the work performed and completed, was the best I have had with a contractor. Finding companies like this was the reason I joined Angie's list. The crew was very professional and left the job sites cleaner than they found them. They took a lot of care not to leave any mess behind. They also spent a lot of time matching paint and on the cosmetics of the drywall repair, molding, etc.

Once he had the materials the job took him a half a day. I would recommend him highly. Price included a few small gutter repairs and an attic vent correction also.

From the initial review/estimate to the repair/installation, I really felt like the Jayhawk crew did a great job. The estimate took place on time as well as the arrival of the work crew. The work crew was very efficient and worked non-stop for two straight days. Work seemed to be done well and the crew kept the area relatively clean. During the course of the work, the crew found several rotted boards. They showed us the boards and informed us of the additional work required. Overall, a very good experience. Obviously, it is a roof and we won't be able to judge the quality of work for a few years, but they seemed to do a good job.
