Contacted J Hawk after reviewing angies list reports. Came to my home within several days and they submitted a bid. Original plan was to replace the roof and add ridge vent. Quote was approximately $8500.00. After talking to him I decided to have them add facia covering and vented soffit. Quote was approximately $2500,00. They also installed new gutters and downspouts on my home and garage for approximately $500.00. After dodging storms it was several weeks later before work began. Roof was complete in one day and remaining work was complete in day two with gutters installed on day 3. Overall I am pleased with having this company perform the work and price paid. My neighbor has since had them install a roof on thier house.

My house was built in 1994, I am the second owner. When I bought the house there were a few tiles missing, part of the settlement included the repair of the tiles, I mention this because it comes in to play later on. This past winter/spring the wind tore up the neighborhood, I lost about 15 tiles from my roof. I am trying to keep my roof intact for the next few years until I have to replace the roof, so I called Jayhawk to have a guy come out and do the job. Larry came out and did the work, I was able to save a little money by using some leftover tile he had on hand, as far as I am concerned with the roof almost at its replacement point, it could have been pink tile, but he found a color close to what I have up there. Without even saying anything to him, he noticed during his inspection that someone had left some nails exposed, apparently the guy we bought the house from decided to try climbing up there and replacing those tiles I mentioned earlier on his own, Larry also took care of those pesky nails while he was up there. Larry was professional and honest with me, I feel the satisfaction I received from the work was more than fair for the price. I will be using them again when it comes time to replacing my roof.

Mike, the project manager was very accessible. The work was completed a day or two before anticipated. They did an excellent job on cleaning up the debris upon completion. When they were done my huband had come home and noticed some issues he wanted fixed. Mike addressed them immediately and the house looks great. We would definately use the company again and recommend them to others. They did what they said they would and followed up promptly with all concerns

I chose Jayhawk based on their numerous positive reviews on Angie's List. Mike "Country" Higgins was the project coordinator on the job. He was courteous, thorough, and professional.

They did come in but there was no great song and dance about windows and hard sale. It was just simple, all they did was showed some products and said what they can do for me and the price. It was very direct and straight forward. They were quite professional in what they did. The thing that was different was that they were much more direct and straight forward. They were very responsive and on time. I am very pleased with him. The reason why we went with another company was that the other company was going to do more work for us for similar the price. The gentleman is kind of informal who came, which is fine with me but other people may not like it.

Jayhawk Exteriors INC. Company was good. Everybody that came out for the work was perfect. Everything they did was really good. I would recommend them.

Like I said, Country Mike is an excellent representative for Jayhawk, he is super courtesy, and available whenever you want. The roofing crew was fantastic...they did a fantastic job. They were super neat. They were punctual.

They were the third estimate we had done. He was the contractor we selected. The sales rep was very knowledgeable about roofs. He addressed my concerns and questions. Between that and the price, we decided to have them put the roof on the house. It has been raining since the roof has been on, and the gutters work great.

Job was done exactly as detailed in estimate. Arrived on time,promptly went to work,and was done in short order. Discussed leak in attic space next to chimney(over garage). Curtis feels I need to have sealant put on chimney so I will be in touch with Curtis in the near future.

Curtis Lawrence arrived at the time stated on estimate: 9:00 a.m. Very cold,very windy,but Mr Lawrence and co worker persevered and got all work done by approx. 2:00 p.m. Area was left neat - all litter removed. Waiting until rain to see if the leak has been repaired. Requested an estimate on some further roof repairs to be done. Home was built in 1967 Note: Day after repairs towels I placed in the attic space over garage were wet - called Curtis - came out within 2 hours to assess what was wrong. Curtis to come back and do repairs to roof on 2nd level(split level home)to hopefully contain the leak.

They did great work - the job was completed per my expectations. They were on time and very professional. They had good communication skills, and they cleaned up after themselves. The price was competitive. I would use them again in the future.

Called one day and they came out for an estimate the next day (although he was more than 45 minutes late for the one hour window that he gave and he didn't call to say he was going to be late. That makes me crazy!!). They did the repairs the very next morning. The siding repair looks great. Not sure about the roof leak...will have to see what happens next time it rains!

When they came out, two small holes were found and repaired. I was ready to re-roof, but was told I really didn't need to.

I got three estimates, and Jayhawk was one of the lower ones. In addition, Arnie got right back to me, unlike one of the other companies. His crew were able to do the job in one extremely hot day, and cleaned everything up before they left. They subcontracted the gutter job (replacing some of the highest gutters with covered gutters), and that was done the next day and was a bit less satisfactory since those workers did not return to correct a minor problem. However, the roofing job was good, a bit above the estimate because so much of the wood needed replacing, but that was in the contract, so I have no complaints.

Everything went very smoothly. It only took a day and the roof isn't leaking, so I'm happy with the work.

They were quick and prompt after the bid. Also they got the work done pretty fast.

I received 3 estimates for the job. Jayhawk gave me the lowest estimate but their representative also gave me the clearest explanations for what was needed and why to handle the "almost flat roof' where we had had repeated issues over the years. Arnie answered any and every question I asked without rushing through the process. The day of the work, the work crew was prompt, well mannered and accomplished the job in one day. The results were excellent.

We had two seperate projects. The roof and the wrapping job.Arnie was our on sight representative for Jayhawk for both jobs. He was wonderful. He couldn't have been nicer and was very helpful with his suggestions. He was very knowledgeable about all facets of our projects. Even though we weren't happy with a coupleof things, Arnie made sure it was done to our satisfaction.Some how our shutters were damaged and Arnie replaced them without any problem. We always felt comfortable with him and very pleased with the results. Shayne was the very talented contractor that did the wrapping and repairs to our Florida room. He was very thorough and took pride in his work. If he felt something wasn't the way he wanted it to look he redid it till it was just right. I really think my house looks better than any I have seen. Shayne never rushed he took his time to do it right. We were very pleased with that. Jimmy and Jim also worked on the house. We are so glad we decided to give both jobs to Jayhawk. We would use them again, and highly recommend them.

They came out pretty quick. Their estimate was fine, but I chose not to hire them. There was another company that had an equivalent estimate, and their representative seemed more professional and knowledgeable. Compared to the competition, they were not quite as professional, although there was nothing in particular. I would consider using them in the future.

The job went very well. The crew came as expected in the morning and completed the job in about 6 hours. They cleaned up all the debris and mess that was left over. We had no problems and the crew and site manager were very friendly and professional. We have no complaints!

When I need to get something done in my apartment, then I need to pass it on to the condo association manager. I think they have approved Jayhawk Exteriors to go ahead with the job. There was another company that charged more than Jayhawk. I first talked to them and then I had to pass it on to the manager since the condo association has to pay for it. They told me basically what needed to be done. I know that it was going to be more than what I thought it would be. There was a leak in my bedroom right under the eaves of my house. That was where it was connected to the chimney area that needed flashing. It was reasonable enough to me, but I haven?t paid for that kind of service before and so I don?t know. I couldn?t decide on whether they were good or bad. I felt like they knew what they had to charge for that type of repair since they have been in business for long enough. They were certainly professional and showed up on time. The two men who came out were very nice too. I hope that the work would be done before winter sets in. My condo manager informed me that he will be in touch with Jayhawk. I was very pleased with their manner. They did everything that I expected them to do. They were punctual. They drove their truck and came here. It also looked like they had all the equipment that was needed to do whatever was expected out of them. They certainly do show themselves well. If need be, then I would contact them again for a quote.

The replacement went very well from estimate to finish. After a small challenge locating the correct size skylights (the non-standard size I needed was the reason for the increased cost), we scheduled the installation and the crew was right on the scheduled time. The weather was supportive and they removed the old skylights and installed the new ones in about half a day. They cleaned everything up and removed the debris as agreed. Although the price was a lttle higher than other contractors had said the job would cost, the quality the new hardware and the installalation I received was excellent. The installer explained what went wrong with previous installation to cause the leaks after he disassembled the old skylights and showed me what he was doing to ensure the new installation wouldn't have a similar problem. I am convinced I got a very good value and the price was still only about 10% higher than others said they'd do the job for. As a proof the installation was good, a tropical storm come through since the install and there were no problems with the new skylights. The nice flat glass skylights were an upgrade on what was replaced (curved plexiglass) and I am convinced I got an excellent value. I would readily hire Jayhawk again and will definately call and ask if they want to replace my other skylights when their time comes. Thanks

The roofing crew arrived on time, permit was posted and workers got right to work covering our shrubs and tearing off the old shingles. The workers put on all new shingles, new ridge vent installed, painted all pipes. After the roof was totally completed and the clean up finished you could not tell that a mess was evident during the job. Very pleased with the work that was done, professional and efficient/friendly workers. We had neighbors comment on what a mess our yard was and how clean it was after work was finished. Supervision, by Arnie, kept the job moving smoothly throughout the whole process. Arnie made our first experience in re-shingling a house a good experience, we had been told horror stories.
