Exterior Source: (The actual overall rating is 4.5 stars) Jason’s office called to set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment Jason came in to introduce himself and explain what he was going to do. He went outside to do his estimate. He came back in with wonderful drawings of my house complete with gutters and downspouts to differentiate the existing gutters from the new gutters. He then showed me the two types of leaf filtration systems, one that could keep pine needles, leaves, and debris out. and the other to keep out leaves and debris for all the areas where there are no pine trees. There were pine trees on the property behind the garage, so we went with leaf guard and the rest of the new and existing gutters micro guard. After a period of negotiations, we came to an agreement. I was in the hospital at the time, so I was not there to view the installation. My wife informed me that Executive Source was on the job. When they left the job was done exactly as shown and explained to me. Except for a miscommunication between estimator and office, and estimator and me, everything else went smooth. My wife took pictures and videos and showed them to me in the hospital and the job was complete on time and on schedule. They cleaned up well behind themselves as there was no debris left on site when they left. I would recommend them to others since their scope schedule, execution and revisited cost and that wonderful presentation made them the lowest responsive bidder. We hire them again to do the front of the garage in the near future.

Had estimate done without obligation. Was breifed on the design intended for my house and what to expect. After deciding to go ahead, I deposited a down payment (depends on total cost of job). Was given a date for the work. Workers arrived on time on the specific day. Was a rainy day and they got about half the job done and decided to suspend their work. Came back next day and finished the job. Job was to take one day but the weather was an issue. Work was done by a team of tree men - Ross, Fred and Robert. All were very polite, asked me about specific issues they ran into and let me make the decisions (downspout location, etc.) I like the larger sized gutters and make a bold contrast to the house siding. I tried several other gutters over the years and these are the best. Lifetime guarantee ! I never have to clean my gutters again and also found the old gutters were retaining water that could hvae led to wood damage along the roof line. Not the lowest cost - but try and get a lifetime guarantee from anyone else. HIGHLY recommend this compnay and their workers, Steve who did the estimate to th folks answering the phones - hard to find customer service like this - I am a very satisfied customer.

I contacted them to confirm that they could do this repair and was told that they could. The original visit for an estimate revealed that this wasn't their main line of work, but YES, they would be able to do this. (Gutters, roofing and siding are apparently their main services. Obviously, repairs such as those I needed likely come up in the course of larger projects they perform) type of work. Original date for repair didn't work out since the wrong crew came out and this wasn't their particular type of repair. A rescheduled visit had to also reschedule since the repairs needed required more wood supplies than the individual had with him. Third time is the charm and they work they did was EXCELLENT.

I have used them on my old home and again when I purchased my new home in 2013. They are professional and I will use them again in the future

They showed up when they were scheduled for both the estimate and for the installation. They left the property properly cleaned up and safe each time they left. The job had to be done in two different time frames. First they removed the old gutters and then got approval for the board replacement which was an additional charge to be approved. They then had to schedule the additional work to be done and the gutter work to be completed. I was very happy with the work and with the workmanship of the job. I am happy that there is a lifetime guarentee with this job and that the guarentee is transferable when the house is sold. I feel like I got a high quality job and it was done by a reputable company that will stand behind their work. I have seen them at other customers' houses making adjustments or repairs as needed long after the original job was completed. My only concern in the overall process was that calls about the job were made to me at a time that was difficult to resolve immediately. They would call me at the end of the day and when I'd call back only a few moments later, the person who made the call and who had the details would have already left for the day or the Foreman of the crew would not be available to answer questions. That made getting decissions and scheduling next steps a longer process than it could have been. I was very pleased that the work could be done a little earlier than we thought due to other jobs running ahead of schedule. My travel schedule made postponing the job difficult if that had been needed. Overall, good folks to work with both in the field and in the office. They work hard to make things run smoothly. The information and the estimate were upfront and clearly stated about what was included and how the operation would run. There were no surprises. hey worked to help with special financing rates with the bank as well. That was a nice bonus.

The team of roofers arrived on time and performed extremely competently in each phase; removing old shingles, installing new shingles and cleaning up the work site. Everything was done with care.

They were prompt and they kept me informed. They did a good job, good workmanship. However, they were fairly expensive.

They were very quick! They completed the installation in just a half a day. Their gutters come with a lifetime guarantee. The gutters aren’t supposed to clog and if they do, they will come out for free.

Very professional crew. I was impressed with their desire to communicate with me through the process. One issue came up during installation regarding the layout of the gutters and they called me outside to give me a recommendation, then asked for my input. I appreciated their interaction and desire to keep me informed. Very pleased with the look and function of these gutters. Unfortunately they are more expensive than regular gutters but they are maintenance-free in every sense of the word. Very pleased with their work.

The installers were on time and professional. The gutters work perfectly and look great as well. Although the price is high, we knew we wanted the LeafGuard product.

They were not the least expensive bid, but in the end they were the best choice. Work on the walk way/porch was a bit more complicated than expected. In the end the workmanship was excellent and I'm very happy with the end products. Why did I wait so long!

It turned out just fine! We got the estimate a couple of years ago and they just recently did the work. They honored the previous estimate! They came out when they said they would. It was two young men and they worked all day! They ripped off the old gutters and installed the new ones! We had some torrential rains and that caused a bit of a hiccup. I took video with my phone and sent it to them. They said it worked out perfectly. They were able to tell exactly what needed to be done and fixed it without any problems.

The job went well. No complaints except for high price. I hope the gutters work as expected. There has not been enough rain or time to prove so.

The installers showed up on time. We asked them if they needed us to do anything before they got started. They said no. The installers worked quickly. Almost to a point that they seemed rushed. They seemed a little careless about our property as they crushed our camping grill while throwing an old gutter off the side of the house. They also dented a siding panel on the front of the house while installing the gutters. They knocked a bird house to the ground we had hanging in a tree (with baby birds in it.) And they cut off the protection housing around our power cable that attached from the transformer to our house to make room for the gutters, leaving our electrical wires exposed. Which seemed very dangerous. They also left debris from the installation in the yard including 4 inch nails. All in all they seemed rushed to get the job done and cut a lot of corners in the process. When we saw the damage that was done, we called the office and they said they would look into it. We called them repeatedly over several months wanting to know what they were going to do to make things right. At first they gave a lot of excuses but said they would take care of it. But nothing happened and eventually they stopped returning our calls. The product they installed is excellent and we have no problems whatsoever with the gutters. However, this company is incredibly unprofessional and they still have done NOTHING to fix the things they left damaged. We are so disappointed with the service we received. It's a shame that you are expected to just live with a job done poorly when you paid good money for a service. We will never use these people again nor will we ever recommend them to friends and family. UPDATE: After several attempts to get the installers to come out and fix the problem, management got involved and the issue was eventually resolved. We filled out a customer survey with them and when it got to their head office we were contacted and management worked with us to fix everything. They sent one of the installers to fix/replace everything that had been damaged once they got involved it was handled quickly. It was still frustrating that it had to get to that point but it was still nice to know that management at least cared enough to take care of the problem.

Installed LeafGuard gutters to the front of my house. First contact was with a very educated man who had a great deal of experience in building. Estimate was given very low pressure. Workers arrived exactly on time. Pleasant and neat. Worked hard and got the job done quickly inspite of some difficult placement of downspouts that I required.

Estimator was very professional with video of roof area. Installers were on time and were quick with gutter removal. There were no differences between estimator cost and installed work. Cleanup was pretty good. Had minor issue with underdeck work as had to ask installer to correct it before he left. Have had two minor rains since installation and system is good so far. Need a major rain for the total evaluation, but am pleased so far.

Chris and his helper did a wonderful job with the first installation work. They took their time and did a good job. Fred later returned to install the additional down spout that was not in the original estimate. They were all really good and I would highly recommend their services. They were very clean and cleaned up well. The price was reasonable and I have used Chris to install gutters in my previous home.

I got three estimates. Exterior Source's estimate was in the middle. The other two companies used a gutter that required lifting the edge of my shingles. Exterior Source won me over in the full explanation of their product and the professionalism they promised (and delivered) in the installation. They gave me the full price in writing with a contract ready to be signed. I considered each company and studied the technology used in their products. I felt that I did not want my shingles disturbed (which voids most roof warranties) and could not understand how the other gutters would not stop up. Also, the other companies made too many promises for me to believe. They flat out oversold their product. I called Exterior Source back. Gave them the deposit by credit card and faxed them a signed contract. They did the work exactly on time and left the outstanding balance on my front door. I called them when I got home to pay them. They seemed more concerned that I was pleased with their work than any other company I had contacted. They wanted to make sure they had gotten everything done I had expected before being paid. I paid them by credit card over the phone. When given an opportunity I will recommend them to all my friends.

I had excellent recommendation from coworkers regarding the performance of the LeafGuard gutter system (10 years), and Starling's performance as the only authorized dealer in the area. I left a request for an estimate on their web site, and received a call within a day or two. The representative made an appointment, and was prompt. I told the representative I was sold on the product if he promised I'd never have to get up on a 28' ladder and clean muck out of the gutters again, the only issue was the price. He still gave me the complete spiel on the construction and quality. I didn't need it but it was interesting and I did learn about some of the features. I told the representative that, due to the age of the house (73-years) and the fact that the old gutters had been up there for 30+ years, I wanted to remove the gutters and repair any damaged fascia boards before they installed the new gutter system. We walked around the house and agreed where the downspouts would be routed, and how far from the foundation they would run. We agreed on a price which was on the high end of what I was willing to pay. He said to call when I was ready for the installation. I called late last week, and arranged for them to install on Tuesday. They arrived around 9:00 as promised, and completed the installation by 1:00. They didn't damage anything, and left no debris. I don't know if they will shed the pine needles, but I do know that they can handle the water efficiently. Tuesday evening we had in excess of 3.4 inches of rain dumped in our neighborhood. The gutters handled the heavy rain, and dumped the water onto the lawn away from the foundation. PS The guarantee apparently is transferable to the new owner if I sell the house.

They have been amazing. They came without charge when I called them for even the slightest bit of concern I had. They are a superior company.

I found everyone who worked with me -- including the representative who gave me the estimate, the secretary, and the two installers – to be friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Over the past 28 years, we had replaced the gutters two times, and we were disappointed with the results. This time, we decided to pay the extra and upgrade to LeafGuard. Wish we had done this two gutters ago. The installation went smoothly. The initial “walk-around” showed how the old gutters were not installed correctly (3rd floor downspout had not been tied into the 2nd floor gutter, which caused extreme rotting through the wood) and how the downspouts were too small to handle the gutters. The company worked around my schedule, waiting until our new siding was installed. Then, when I called to make an appointment for the installation, the gutters were installed within a few days. The installation took only a few hours. According to the Englert LeafGuard of Greater Richmond warranty, “We guarantee that your LeafGuard system will remain free flowing, provided that the gutter or downspouts are not damaged, impeding the internal water flow, for as long as you own your home. In the unlikely even that the system becomes clogged, LeafGuard of Greater Richmond will unclog or replace LeafGuard section at no charge to the purchaser.” There are other components to the warranty, too. And, all described warranties are transferable at no cost to me or the new homeowner. The gutters and downspouts look great. I would highly recommend this company. I felt that I was given the personal touch and feel confident that should anything go wrong, they will address what comes under the warranty.

The "work date" above is approximately when they came out to clear the last clog. Husband is clearing a clog in the rain now. We had these gutters installed several years ago. There were no problems with the installation, they look fine and seemed to work well. We noticed a clog a couple of years ago and called the company. Someone cleared the clog for us, but we were told to clean the exterior of the gutters regularly to avoid clogging. Not really maintenance-free gutters. We then had a tree limb fall on the corner of the roof, bending about three feet of the gutter. The company came out and left estimates (twice for some reason). They would have to replace the entire run of gutter to fix three feet. Quote to fix it was $500. They were supposed to send a $25 check to the friend who referred us. They did not, despite my calling to inquire about it. Receptionist told me they had recently acquired the company and lost those records. I gave her his name and address. As of the last time I asked him, he never received a check.

The gutter installation went excellent. The workers showed up on schedule. Manufactured the custom fit gutters, installed them, and cleaned up in less that 3 hrs. Everyone was very accomodating. They went over the installation and I requested specifc downspout configurations. They were done with no issue. I also asked if they could look at a shingle on my roof to check its condition and they did so with no problem. The workers were professional, courteous, and extremely careful during the installation. The Leaf Guard gutters are of excellent quality and they look great!
