DOWN TO EARTH DESIGNS

Horrible experience. First, they were only two weeks late. Then, they ruined my front yard trying to remove the grass (which was an add on, I will admit). They were supposed to install two parallel drains from my front downspouts to the street. They instead decided to run the drains to my existing drain from the backyard. They ended up sticking my downspouts into PVC Couplers that were connected to a 2" PVC pipe. This pipe ran to the side yard and was stuck into the ground. They did not grade the pipe nor bury it. I found the drain pipe covered with 3 inches of mulch. (Ended up paying another $500 to have it fixed. They took my survey to make a copy and mark their lines. Never returned the survey nor the copy. Backyard they installed sprinkler heads on my gazebo!! REALLY!!???!!?? I have no idea how much it will cost to fix. Complained to BBB. No response. STAY AWAY!!!!!

The price was acceptable (they matched a competitor's price). They did not mention in their contract that if the well misses, that we would have to pay for another drill (they eventually split the price). They stated that if the second well was insufficient that they would pay for a third, however when it was found to be insufficient, they said they would tie the two wells together and not drill a third. It provided barely enough to run one sprinkler. This was completed after 2 months, but in the 4 months since, they have been unable to complete the external faucet. Most frustrating is that this company does not communicate effectively. Phone calls are not returned, appointments are missed without any notification and followup. I have made numerous attempts to communicate, with almost no replies. When they do set up an appointment to perform work, they usually don't show (costing me time from work) and then they don't call to let me know that they are not going to make it or to reschedule. I have to be the one to track them down at great efforts.The well and pump took months to install and it has been 4 months and the external faucet still has not been completed. The pump is now leaking and I cannot get them to come out and repair it even thought it is still under warranty. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE FRUSTRATED!

Initially we were told that we would not even be able to tell they had done any work to our lawn, all holes would be covered, all dirt/grass put back into place.We were also told that we probably would not need the rid o rust system, but we chose it anyway. Both wrong. We have had to call the company back on several occasions to adjust coverage. They did not place the heads where I requested. They mixed different types of heads (ratchets and stationary) on the same zone, which results in over/under watering of different areas. Anyone that knows what they are doing knows not to do this. We have been unable to get them back out to our house to correct the situation, and now they are not even returning calls. The last appt. that was set for them to come out was for 6:30 am, we waited until 7:22am and had to leave for work. They have yet to call us back. I have holes all over the yard where the holes/trenches they dug were not backfilled correctly. Very disappointed in the company.
