Description of Work: For starters, the house was built with the ceilings much higher than they were supposed to be. Then the builder installed the windows incorrectly and blamed the architect. Fixing the mistake cost us $20,000 in an additional row of windows. Then the builder installed the garage windows incorrectly. Because this was the second mistake, and because of the cost of correcting the mistake, the garage is left unfinished. We are looking for someone we can trust to finish it correctly. The decking was installed incorrectly. It was all nailed and the manufacturer told us it should never be nailed. My $700.00 shower door has a crooked handle because of the way it was installed. The flooring in the family room, dining room, and kitchen the installer left glue on it and the general contractor gave me mineral spirits and turpentine and a rag to get the glue off. I called the manufacturer and the manufacturer said using mineral spirits and turpentine would void our warranty and damage the floor. When I told the general contractor that, he put it back on me. The alarm for the septic system went off in the middle of the night because the general contractor never hooked it up. The septic guy charged me $125.00 to turn the switch right side up and hook up the septic system, but he said, "you should be able to get this (money) back from the general contractor since they are the ones who installed it wrong." When I confronted the GC, he just laughed. Some of the doors cannot be locked properly because the hole and the locking bar aren't aligned. I could go on and on and on....The GC was on vacation when the foundation to the garage was being poured and it was poured in the wrong location, so it had to be moved. My brother has better looking screen doors on his chicken coop than we do on this house. (I'm not kidding!)
