Description of Work: Estimate - worked with the owner Doug to get an estimate for electrical work for two units. He was very responsive and easy to talk to. We have not made a final decision on which company to use -- however we appreciated the professionalism provided by DEL Electric.

Description of Work: Doug was responsive, very competitively priced and expert in his capability. In addition, the work requirement called for extended time in the crawlspace of our house, which due to recent wet conditions, was a pretty miserable place to be- I know, I've been down there too... Regardless, Doug managed all the work effectively and in addition, exhibited a high degree of professionalism in spite of a city (VA BEACH) inspector that was grossly late for the review. The work performed was extensive and I'd rather not list all the details- just confirmation that if you choose to use Doug you will get your money's worth on a job done well. I will not hesitate to use him again for any electrical needs I may have in the future and recommend him without reservation.

Description of Work: Doug came over and fixed some long overdue light switch-issues. We had a lot of switches that we didn't know what they did, and some that weren't installed correctly. He fixed all of the problems and also gave some estimates on work we would like done down the road. I got confused and tried to pay him the amount he quoted for the future project. He told me it was the wrong price and that it was for the estimate and was too much for what he had done that day. Great service, very punctual, and refused to overcharge. I would highly recommend Doug to anyone on angies list.

Description of Work: I called D.E.L. Electric to repair a fluorescent light fixture in the ceiling. Doug came on time, did an excellent job, and he charged me less than the agreed amount, because he felt the job was smaller than the initial impression. He is a friendly and polite man, very professional. I recommend him without reservation. I am glad we found him in Angie's list for all future electrical repairs in the house.

Description of Work: Removed 3 old overhead light fixtures and installed 3 new ones: one flush, one semi-flush, one chandelier.

Description of Work: Electrical repairs after a major storm resulted in an electrical surge that blew out many boxes, controls, bulbs, and burned up wires.

Description of Work: Doug change a light fixture for me in my bathroom and adjusted an outdoor flood light. I called him on Thursday and he was able to come out on Friday after another job he had in the morning. He was very accomodating and professional.

Description of Work: He installed a ceiling fan and light in place of an existing fixture. The price included a brace and new box. The job was much more difficult than anticipated due to furnace ductwork, dryer exhaust, multiple electrical wires, and the pre-fab truss in the small space between the first and second story. Also, the original box had to be cut out, piece by piece. He did a super job!
