He arrived early, identified the problems quickly, and repaired them very quickly, including rewiring wall switches to a ceiling fan to bypass a faulty light pull chain switch.

Doug was super fast! He happened to be in the neighborhood when I purchased an Angies Deal, and he stopped on by after. He was able to fix a loose wire for the porch light, and the patio light needed a new switch. This saved us lots of time and possible electrocution, we figured it was bad lights. Well worth the money! We plan to call Doug when we update our 1960s home wiring to all modern lines.

He arrives on time. He cleans up behind himself. He is honest, kind, witty very reasonably priced. He works alone but he can out work a full crew. I can't say enough about Del Electric. He's the best contractor we've "EVER" had. We will be bringing him back for any future electrical jobs.

As I was doing my laundry one fine Summer evening, I noticed the smell of burning plastic. Upon investigating, I discovered that the 220-volt outlet that my dryer was connected to had decided that it didn't want to conduct electricity very efficiently anymore, and instead decided to arc, spark, emit smoke, and partially melt the dryer plug. So after turning off the breaker and letting it cool, I took it apart to investigate. That's when the entire receptacle disintegrated in my hands, and I knew I had something of a problem. While I'm willing to do my own 120-volt wiring all day, a 220-volt outlet with charring and smoke-stains is outside of my comfort zone, so I called Doug. He scheduled a Saturday appointment which met my time criteria, showed up, and completed all the work within an hour. Everything works great, and I can dry my clothes without the chance of an electrical fire. Jury is still out on the lint trap, but that's not something within the scope of DEL Electric's field of work.

Very responsive and showed up on time. Performed great work and also in a quick amount of time with no mess. Received quotes for more work to be done at a later time. Will use again.

Doug showed up early for the appointment and went right to work. The hottest day of the year and he was in the attic for hours, found that one of the bedrooms didn't have access cut into the attic so had to do some hard work to get the wiring to reach. Took care throughout the day to keep the house immaculate and get the work done quickly and professionally. I'd highly recommend Doug to anyone needing electrical work done.

We are getting a well-pump shortly, so I called Doug to come out and install the new circuit for us. It involved running a tube with the wires in it from the main panel through along the garage outer wall and then under the house in the crawlspace to reach the desired location. He was on time, professional and got the job done. Because my husband and I were cleaning out the garage at the time, we had a delightful time chatting and cracking jokes with him.

Truly excellent service. He came out and immediately assessed the problems we were having. He identified and corrected some truly harzardous wiring that had been done by the previous owner. He was able to redo teh outside electrical outlets so they were al working. He went above and beyond wht we hired him specifically to do and we truly appreciated it.

Doug did a professional job installing everything and he did it by himself. He quoted the price and he charged exactly that. He was easy to work with and we would definitely hire him again.

My house is over 23 years old and after I plugged in an electric heater in my living room I lost all power to these areas. The circuit was never tripped and I don't know anything about electric and how it is wired. Doug told me over the phone what he thought it may be and he was spot on. He had to play find the loose wire and figure out how it was daisy chained through the house. He replaced some of my outlets and switches on top of looking for it because they were disintegrating in his hand. When he found the problem it was in a switch that was working in my dining room. I'm so thankful I have a wonderful and pleasant electrician that comes in and makes me at ease with a wonderful attitude and great work ethic. He has always been on time and follows through. I will always call Doug for my issues with my electricity.

It went great. DEL was our second of two Angie's list estimates and was literally HALF the estimate of the larger company's estimate. Doug explained what needed to be done in reference to the required code and safety requirements. He explained how and where he would run the wires. We made an appointment for install and everything went as scheduled. Doug ran wires as required and put in a required second panel; our original panel was full and required extra room for the additional circuit. After completion, his work looked superior to what to previous home owners had done. We'll have him return to wire our detached garage!

Douglas was fantastic. He worked with our older home to add grounded outlets in each room. He was prompt and hardworking throughout the whole process. He came in the morning and worked till the job was done. Would definitely use again if the need should arise.

Great. Electrician was open to options. Ran conduit through the garage and through the wall, vice digging a trench through the yard, saving a great deal on time and labor.

Doug was always early and very professional. He ran into a few problems when installing the circuit due to the nature of my attic, but he came to me with options and was able to work it out in a short amount of time. Would recommend him to friends and use him again for any electrical work.

When Del Elecrtric was called for a visit to provide an estimate, Mr Lilley was prompt in returning the call and was on time for the appointment. He made several suggestions during the visit and provided the estimate in a timely manner. After making several changes to the project in response to the condominium association, he scheduled the work within a week and completed it in a timely fashion. He was always courteous, friendly, and worked efficiently. He followed up after the work was complete to see if there were any problems.

I had a microwave installed and the adapter wouldn’t hold it so it kept blowing all my fuses. They came out and installed a whole new line for the microwave. The pricing was very awesome. They were awesome. I have animals and he would pet them. I asked him a question about a light switch and he fixed it with no charge.

Doug made our home safe, and my family feels safe thanks to DEL Electric. in addition to the originally agreed work, Doug had a can do attitude with multiple additions on his to-do list as we added fans, lighting and various other tasks. Doug is detail oriented, experienced and fairly priced. I highly recommend calling DEL Electric.

Doug replaced an old electrical panel that did not have a main circuit breaker. The new panel was significantly larger, so Doug had to do more "demo" then he had anticipated. The job had been rescheduled due to a snowstorm, but Doug committed to getting the job done Saturday. Even though he had to traipse in and out of the cold and wet, he finished the job as promised. I think he must have spent at least 1-2 hours more than he had estimated, but he only charged me what we had originally agreed upon. Doug is an honest, professional and I appreciate having someone like him to take care of all my electrical needs.

Arrived right on time; friendly, outgoing, personal. Cut right to the chase and corrected the issue on the spot. Gives you confidence right away. Am having other electrical work done, a bit more involved that this call and DEL will be getting the call and the work. Would recommend him very highly based on this first impression.

Doug Lilly is absolutely wonderful. I was referred to him by a friend a couple of years ago and have used him twice. He is always on time and does terrific work for very reasonable prices. He is the only person I would trust with my electrical issues!

Earlier in the year, my house lights started slightly, "dimming." I checked breakers. Checked connections. After several calls over about a month, about 4.5 months ago I called our favorite Power Company requesting they verify the "ground" (apparently they use the term "neutral") was tight. A guy Dominion Power guy came out, walked around the house, and left. Never heard back. It deteriorated very badly. I was referred to Doug by JR, of Newbern Mechanical. He came, tested the power box, proved it was on the Power Company's side. Magically, I called the power company, same day, a really excellent technician came and fixed the "neutral." All is good. Every time the phone "lady" tried to object, I'd just refer to Doug's assessment. After that, all went well. Simply getting it fixed was worth it. Doug's completely professional. Straight forward. I do recommend him.
