*** DOUG DID A FANTASTIC JOB IN EVERY RESPECT!!! *** Not only did he have the best price, but he really took to time to understand what we were looking for and then come up with options for us to chose from. We knew we wanted to replace the existing lighting in the family room and kitchen with recessed can lighting, but did not know how many, what type, or what placement. Doug did a great job of explaining the options and then worked to come up with great layout designs. For example, in the family room, he recommended placement of the cans just behind the "L" shaped couch configuration to prevent the light from hitting people in the eyes (as it would have if there were lights put in the very center of the room over the coffee table). Since finding DEL (Doug) on Angie's List, this is my 3rd time using him. The former owner of my house had modified the outside electrical outlet and Doug was able to trace and fix this. Doug also replaced some outlets inside my house that were problems. In the near future, I plan to get Doug to install canned lights in my kitchen and perhaps add outside flood lights. Lastly, Doug was able to get to me within a day or two. Thanks again for all your help!

I got them from Angie's List. Mr. Douglas Lilley was the name of the person. I liked him as he was very good. He was great. He got all the things, cleaned up everything and I was happy with him.

I didn't use them because I got a better price.

Doug was timely and proficient from estimate to final installation. His estimate was thorough and he explained exactly what he was going to do. His price was very good and beat our two other quotes buy $150-$200. His work was very exacting and he asked for feedback as he laid out and installed the light locations. His work on our kitchen cieling was amazing. He only needed a very small hole to install the eight lights in the cieling. In addition, he kept the work area orderly and clean (He vacuumed the work site three times during the day to keep the dust to a minimum.) He was prompt both days he was on the project and arrived when he said he would. At the end of the job he reviewed his work and made sure we were happy with all of his work and that there was nothing to clean up. I would highly recommend Doug and Del to anyone looking for electrical work. A great job! Thank you.

Doug fit me into his busy schedule with very short notice. I needed to get a lot of things done before company was to come for the Labor Day weekend. He was on time and was very knowledgeable and very professional. I had painters and other workers at the house so it was a challenging environment. Doug worked alongside the brick mason that had replaced several bricks on two large brick columns at the end of my driveway to get two newly refinished lanterns mounted to the top of the columns. Doug got everything done on my list in about 8 hours and he did a superb job. I will definitely use him again and, in fact, I plan to call upon him to do the electrical work for my small business.

We had an electrical strike that caused damage to a number of things in our home. We had waited around all day for a DIFFERENT electrician (Dowdy Electric) to come give us an estimate. He finally showed and was supposed to fax us the estimate for our insurance company. He never did, but we figured he would bring it when he came for the scheduled appointment. Nope, we were wrong! He not only never provided the estimate, he also no-showed for our appointment to get the work done. When we called to see if they were coming he "uh" and "oops" and "well..." and said he forgot. Then he never called back. We called, the person on the phone said they would look into it and call us back but they never did either. NOT our expericence with DEL Electric. Showed up on time, was thoroughly knowlegable, professional, clean, and did outstanding work. We will definitely use him again when we do some remodeling work in the future. I will not hesitate to recommend DEL to friends and family.

Excellent service!!!! Couldn't be happier. Last night lost electical in master bedroom and bathroom. Called Doug after hours, he promptly returned our call and said he would be out first thing in the morning and he was. He quickly resolved the issue by replacing the fried outlet that was causing the issue.

Second-time using DEL, and it was just as great as the first time. Doug was punctual, knew what he was doing, cleaned as he went, and cool about working around the family dogs (who were very interested in what he was doing). I was also impressed that he emailed later that evening to make sure I was happy with the end result (as it was difficult to tell in the bright afternoon how well the lights would do lighting all areas of the kitchen at night, when it was dark). Awesome job!

DEL is great we thought Doug's service was fabulous.

Excellent. Was able to work me in and fix the major problems. I plan to have him install a new attic fan soon so, I will update this report then. I am very pleased with both the price and service. As an update 7/29/201: Had DEL (Doug) replace attic fan. He also replaced the thermostat and fixed the wiring harness ($250). Excellent work and excellent electrician. Doug is a great guy. Thanks.

Went very well overall. Doug is punctual, hard working and friendly. We had a slight disconnect over pricing the second time out but this was resolved professionally. Doug has a great attitude! He cares about his reputation and wants to ensure his customers are satisfied. My only suggestion would be written estimates to avoid any miscommunication.

Fantastic job! Friendly, hardworking and thorough. We bought a house with an outdated electrical system, and Doug got us up to speed in no time. A couple of days after the job was done I had a question, and he answered it promptly. I would recommend him to anyone.

Douglas was great! He has a great sense of humor, and very friendly personality. Was honest and took photos to show us the electrical wires wrapped around the pipes under the house. He took care of everything within a day and did a wonderful job. Wish I found him ealier, because he fad to fix things other electricians never bothered to fix. I highly recommed him and I will be calling him again if something else breaks!

. He was extremely good. He was on time. I suspected that it was a prior minor issue in the system than it was. He did not find anything else. He fixed it on the spot. While he was here I had him to give me another estimate on for some lighting upgrading that I want to do in the future and gave me recommendations on what to do with that. . He was very knowledgeable and professional. I will be calling him for future upgrade of my electrical. I am not living in that house. It is hard to do the upgrade if you are not living in the house

I was inititally charged $300 for the work that was done. The man who came out told me the insides of the ceiling fan were missing and would need a new motor. When they part came in they came back out and charged me another $80 to put the motor in on top of the original fee. They let me know that it still wasn't working and that they would have to come back again to do more work. This is when I decided that I'd had enough and told them I didn't require their services anymore.

Left a voicemail with Doug requesting an estimate at 9:30AM on Wednesday. He returned my call at 10:15AM and came by my house for an estimate that afternoon. It's a 1950's ranch with two-prong, ungrounded outlets. I wanted grounded outlets for my refrigerator, computer, and TV done. Also, I wanted a price for GFI outlets for two bathrooms (whose only outlets are plugs on the light fixtures). Finally, I wanted a price to replace my breaker in the garage, which I've been told needs to be done. After checking power loads, he recommended a 20A circuit for the refrigerator (to add a microwave, as well), a 15A circuit for the TV, and a 20A circuit for the office (my computer has a 1000W power supply). Total price: $550. If I wanted the GFI outlets in the bathrooms later, that would be $300. Finally, he told me that I don't need to waste money on a new breaker for now, as it's perfectly capable of safely handling my current electrical load. He was extremely professional throughout, thoroughly knowledgeable, and came in at what I felt to be a reasonable price. I asked him how soon he could start, and he told me he would have to give me a call in the evening once he irons out his schedule. While waiting for his call, I decided to knock out the GFI outlets in the bathroom, as well. As promised, he called that evening, and we set up 9:00AM on Saturday for him to start. He had no problem with doing the GFI's as well. On Thursday he called to give me an update on parts acquisitions (the manufacturer of my breaker panel has been bought out twice, so the breakers themselves are no longer made and tough to find). He stated that, worst case scenario, he would run the wires on Saturday and come back the following week to install the breakers if he failed to find them. On Friday, he called to ask my preference for outlet color (tan or white), and inform me that he found the breakers needed. On Saturday, he arrived 5 minutes early and got to work immediately. Despite immense heat in my attic, which is an oven with no fans (not to mention the horrible heat wave), he worked non-stop with his assistant until 2PM, at which point the job was complete. All outlets were tested for proper ground. The GFI circuit was tested from both outlets, and Doug gave a great summary of the protection it offers me. While fishing wires in the attic, Dave also found numerous exposed wires that need to be dealt with, and brought them to my attention. He would have fixed them on the spot if he had the necessary parts, and at my request provided an estimate to return, fix all of the wires, and install a ventilation fan in the attic. I was thoroughly impressed with Dave's operation. He was quick to return calls personally. He provided an estimate on short notice, and stuck with his estimate. He is a master electrician, and his knowledge is thorough. He arrived 5 minutes early for the job, and immediately commenced work. Upon commencing work, he doggedly continued until the job was done, and tested each outlet to ensure the job was done properly. I'm thrilled it went so well for two reasons. First, for the obvious reason that this job was done right. Second, and perhaps more importantly, because now I've found my go-to guy for any electrical issues I have in the future.

Service was excellent – completed job, cleaned up every thing & provided A/C materials – very good to work with.

I emailed Doug late one night and he very promptly responded early the next morning. He quoted me $150 for the job and we agreed on that number. After the job was complete, I received an email from my tenant saying the Doug was extremely professional, courteous, friendly - and also did a top-notch job! The job ended up taking more time than he thought due to faulty original installation and prior "repairs" (earlier repairmen apparently didn't do a great job "fixing" it). He thought it would be a 30 minute job when I talked with him on the phone, but it ended up taking him about 2 hours. Even though the job took 4 times as long (for reasons beyond his control - he wanted to make sure the job was completed properly this time), he stuck to his original quote of $150. He also secured a separate vent that he noticed was loose while fixing the broken fan!! This type of professionalism and good business judgement is rare these days. I will absolutely use him again and again, and again (hopefully I won't have that many problems:)). Thanks for a job well done!

Doug came out and installed the outlet for the pool pump and then went on to isntall the home surger supressor. He took his time and make sure that it was installed properly. He then put an outlet on the front of our home as for some reason, ,there was never one there.

He fixed up extensive electrical issues. Repaired wiring in breaker box, fixed and installed about 7 junctions in the attic, ran two new circuits and installed a new outlet in each room, GFI protected kitchen and bathroom, fixed numorous outlets with reverse polarity. He did a lot of good work and I would most definitely call him again.

Overall, the work went very well. Mr. Lilly did exactly what we agreed to. I am normally a do-it-yourself type. But Mr. Lilly did the job much more professionally and faster than I could have.

Del Electric was very prompt. They had a fair price and good, quality work.

He came by to look at the jobs before hand and then returned after the weekend to get started. In no time at all he had all our circuits,switches,and thermostats humming. He wasted no time and knocked out the jobs in rapid pace. He knew his trade and on both visits to the house he was right on time or early. Prior to DEL coming here we had contacted 2 other contractors-one never called back and the other never showed up. I must mention that he had work inside the house and out in the yard. It was a rainy day and he donned paper booties so he wouldn't track mud into the house. My wife was relieved because she just had the hall rugs cleaned. If you want a professional,DEL is your best choice. We also thought his price was very reasonable.We based our pick on the comments of his 20 customers who were kind enough to leave feedback. Mr. Lilley arrived on time, was friendly, and professional. He surveyed the work we requested to be done. He gave us an acceptable price; and immediately began to gather his tools and materials. He needed a part that he didn't have on his truck. He explained this to us and went to buy one, returning 15 minutes later. He completed the work to our satisfaction in approximately an hour or less. He cleaned up all of the debris and left the area the way he found it.
