Jim Craig came to the house promptly when I had had to call in Virginia Natural Gas to get the gas turned off due to a malfunctioning oven. He came the same day and installed a shut off valve and new line and tried to figure out what was wrong with the oven but without gas he could not be sure. The VNG inspector looked at his work and said it was "by the book" and excellent. I ended up getting a new oven and the city inspectors said all looked good.

Do not use this company. Never completed job that they were hired to do. Left 3 poles sticking out of ground with yellow caution tape and a deep large hole that has filled up with water. Called multiple time, left 3 VM’s and reached out on FB with no response. Totally unacceptable. Would not use again.

I cannot say enough good things about Jim. When things went wrong he took care of me. He was very professional and responsive, with excellent plumbing skills. Beyond that, he also appears to be a good and kind person. I felt very comfortable having him in my home.

My usual plumber was unavailable and recommended Craigs plumbing to me. I called Jim Craig and had a good, detailed conversation with him regarding an upcoming bathroom renovation that I needed some plumbing help on. I called him back the next day and left a message to work out an estimate timeframe. He never returned my call. I subsequently called him again a few days later and also texted, but again no response.

Jim showed up within an hour and a half of calling him - he was on another job and said he'd be over as soon as he wrapped up. Shortly after he arrived he saw what the problem was and what needed to be done to allow us to at least have water restored to the house. He went to work and had the damaged valve removed with hot and cold feed lines capped for the time being. We will have him back to replace the old valve soon. He was professional and talked me through what he was doing and explained my options for the immediate problem. Jim did good work and I'll be sure to use him in the future.

Craig Plumbing is a great company. Both workers were professional, and did a wonderful job on all of the work. We will definitely be using them in the future for other plumbing projects...

He was so thorough, and informative and I definitely wanted him to do the plumbing job for me. Other issues not related to the plumbing came up regarding that house and I decided not to purchase it. I would definitely use this company in the future and have in the past with great results.

Jim Craig answered my call promptly and was at my house within the hour as he said. He determined the leak was coming from the disposal that had become loose, he corrected it. We also had a problem with the water pressure from the faucet, he found out it was obstructed with some plastic particles coming from the plastic sensor valve from the hot water recirculating system. .Jim is a very polite and friendly person and knowledgeably professional. He did a great job. We recommend Craig Plumbing Company without reservations.

Jim Craig is an expert plumber and has a very high standard of quality service - hire him for your plumbing needs as we certainly intend to use his services in the future. He provided an estimate of $3800 to replace all crest water pipes in a 3 level townhouse - we wanted them replaced before we moved into our new home as we did not want to deal with any future issues with the pipes leaking or bursting. Before work was started, Jim arrived on time for our appointment to provide a second estimate for relocating the hot water heater from the attic to the lower level. He discussed our options for relocation as well as the pros and cons of a tank less HWH. We settled on relocating the unit to the garage where the unit would be electric versus natural gas. Jim was great in working with the moving settlement date of our house to get us into his work schedule so the repairs could be completed as soon as possible. We had a lock box on the house - so the workers had full access during the week it took to complete the repairs. We arrived at the house after the repairs were almost completed and spent a few nights to make sure all the plumbing fixtures were operational and there were no visible leaks. The plan for replacing the water pipes was well planned with consideration given to the least amount of drywall removal as possible and the need to secure the new Pex pipes every 3 ft. The workers cut out rectangular/square sections of drywall with straight lines - which the subsequent drywall contractors stated was much appreciated and made repairs a lot easier. The house was left neat and clean and all debris was removed - Jim even sweep out the garage to make sure all construction dust was removed. Jim's workers showed up on Monday morning to finish the job - they were courteous and polite and were happy to address the few minor issues we had identified. Jim himself showed up about an hour later to perform a quality check of the work and answered any questions we had about the repairs. He returned the next day to address two minor items after he purchased the required supplies. At this time, he asked for 80% payment of the contract price of $6100 - leaving a 20% balance as final payment when they would return to reset one commode after the drywall repairs were completed. Jim had not asked for a deposit before the work was started. Craig Plumbing is an outstanding company so don't hesitate to use them for your plumbing needs.

They did a fantastic job. The two workers he brought with him were extremely neat, clean, and professional. They even put on booties so as not to track dirt through the house. I felt it was just super service.

On a Monday in March I called Jim Craig to let him know that I had an issue with an apparent leak from the master bathroom which was creating a water stain on the ceiling in the family room. I left a voicemail for him to call me back. The next day he returned my phone call to say the Matthew would come by to take a look at it on Friday. That Friday, Matt and Brent came to the house. They discovered that the on/off valves in the shower stall of the master bathroom were dripping inside the wall, and were the likely culprit for the stain on the ceiling of the room below. They recommended several options, and after some discussion, I decided to have them remove the two valve system and convert to a one valve system using a Delta Remodel Plate to cover the faucet handle openings in the shower stall. Matt and Brent were courteous and well-mannered. Their casual appearance belied a thorough knowledge of the workings of their trade. They were not able to complete the work for several weeks, due to some manufacturing delays and other factors, but they did not charge me anything until the work was fully completed.

We have an old water line, two buildings. Each house has an individual water line and two units have old inside, four bathrooms, two kitchens and four showers. It's been three years and no problems. They are very great. For everything about plumbing, everything, the price is right. This company the guy is smart enough, they all get through with no problem.

friendly and quick on the estimate. Did not end up using because of price compared to competitor.Did negotiate some but could not come to mutual terms. Would consider for future needs next time.

Jim Craig is great! He came when he said he would, was very professional,and customer service oriented. He explained things clearly in a very helpful and understandable manner and did what he agreed to do. When I had burst pipes he came quickly and "saved the day" as well as stopping any further damage. And I would definitely trust him in my home if I needed work done and I was not there. Excellent excellent, excellent!!!!

It took about 3 hours to complete. The intial consult was done by owner and the tech provided the service efficiently and professionally. We initally thought the problem was from the water heater however, it only affected this shower therefore he want to address the shower first and advised to wait and watch the water heater. Thanks for his honesty because it saved us a bigger bill for a water heater replacement.

All work was performed as agreed. Workers were experienced and professional. I am very satisfied with the new hot water heater and the quality of service that I received. I will definitely use this company for all future plumbing needs.

Craig was very friendly, and the work was done in one day, including removing all the old material. An excellent job all thru. My wife even praised the workmen, and she doesn't do that often!

We like them. Last fall we had to get all our shower faucets cleaned out in the bathrooms. He came out and he gave us a quote and even though it should have cost more, he did not charge us anything extra to get the project completed. He had to cut through our wall and fix the actual set of valves and everything, and he was phenomenal. He was wonderful and that is why I called him today because I need to replace my water heater. I will be talking with him next week about coming out.

Mr Craig was very prompt in returning my call when initially contacted, listened to what the problem was, and confirmed what work probably needed to be done as well as giving me an approximate cost for the job. I asked about replacing the kitchen faucet with one that he would recommend and he chose a well made, stainless, upgraded faucet that looks nice and functions well and has the added bonus of a sprayer. His employees arrived promptly and were very polite and professional and did a great job. After they left, I noticed water on the laundry room floor and was concerned that it was leaking again (Friday evening) and Mr Craig called me right back to address the issue and Matt returned early Saturday morning to recheck everything and confirm it was just water that was left in the hose after the lines were snaked and I used the machine the first time. I was happy with all the work done (a sprayer was now even added to the sink), they cleaned up their area and were very polite and professional. I would definitely use them again and I appreciate an accurate price quote and the honesty to only perform work that was actually required. The price paid was for all labor and supplies as well.

Excellent people to work with. Was on time for estimate, install and hook up of appliance. Was more than willing to answer questions and concerns about the job being done as well as providing some general advice and answers about some other misc. projects planned for future.

N/A - he never got back to me with a quote on a standard gas water heater replacment. I understand my home can be challenging, i.e. it is very tall/narrow, has steps to get to 1st floor, stairwell to 2nd floor winds 180 degrees, and water heater is in the attic with a drop down ladder for access and an insulating hood that does not detach and could be damaged hauling heavy stuff in/out, but would have appreciated a call or email back saying he was not interested in the job rather than no response at all. No contact was timely from the first (but there was a valid reason for that one). There may have been valid reasons for the others as well, but no info was provided.
