+ -1 moreThe service man, Mike, walked in and I asked if there was anything I could do to make his job any easier, such as empty some of the shelves in the fridge. He said "No, I'm done. We don't work on those icemakers." He proceeded to make phone calls regarding a dishwasher he had a problem with on another call. He collected a $100 for coming out to tell me they do not work on this part. He would not leave without the money in hand and was attempting to be very demeaning. A complaint was filed with AHS, as well.
Description of Work: AHS sent this company out to service my icemaker.

Description of Work: We had used Chief's a couple of years ago for a refrigerater repair and were very happy with them. They were punctual, fixed the problem, and charged a reasonable amount. | |We called them again when our washing machine broke. They were still punctual and the price was still reasonable. The process took a few weeks. The repairman ordered a part based on what the digital display told him. After waiting a week for the part, he came out and discovered there was a different part that needed replacing. After another week we called to see what was taking so long. They came back out and replaced the second part. He did not replace the original part that was ordered because it looked okay. After he left the machine stopped after one cycle. He came back immediately and replaced the original part that was ordered and the machine is working fine now. He charged me $40 for coming back the last time to replace the original part. I'm not unhappy with the service but I do feel like he should have replaced both parts at the same time to be sure and I should not have been charged for the last visit. I do believe they are knowledgeable and reasonable.

+ -1 moreI didn't have to order a new panel. He just took it apart and fixed the part I already had. I was very pleased at not having to do that. They always go the extra mile. The owner is retired Navy and we've just had really good luck with them. Last year I had a problem with my old refrigerator. They spent a lot of time tracking down this part, we got it, and they were great! They did all the checking and calling and it was out in California! They just went the extra mile. I don't plan on hiring anyone else but them!
Description of Work: They came out to repair the control panel on my oven.

He charges outrages service call fees even when he h as to come back and fix something he fixed with in 30 days . I go on and on about being overcharged and taken advantage of but dont have the time . I would not recomend this company to any one !!!

+ -1 moreThese folks were very nice on the phone, but I never actually met anyone or had any work completed. They never called me back to re-schedule even though they told me they would.
Description of Work: I have a GE Profile microwave that stopped working. I called to make an appointment and had to leave a voicemail for them to call me back, which they did the next morning. I set up a time for a repairman to come out and look things over. The woman I spoke with answered all of my questions, took the information about the microwave, and explained to me that there would be a $65 service call charge. They contacted me the day of the appointment to confirm the 2 hour window for the appointment. I waited at home during the full 2 hour window that was scheduled but nobody showed up. I got a call right at the 2 hour mark from the repairman stating that he was running behind and was getting ready to leave the previous job. I explained I did not have the time available to wait and needed to reschedule. He told me that he would speak with the scheduling person and they would call me to have that done. I never heard from them again.

They came back right after I had talked to them and the machine stopped working. They warrantied their work. They have good customer service and very honest.

Description of Work: My dryer was not venting. I called on Friday and they had me scheduled for thenext Monday afternoon. They call Monday am to give us the 2 hrs window and then called when 20 mins out. I explained the problems and he thought he thought the vent was plugged. He work on it for about 45 mins- 60 mins, Works like a charm. This is the second time I used them and both times were excellant from phone to the office to the service provider. They aims to please and they have with my familty.

+ 0 moreI called Chiefs Aplliance Repair and the female that answered the phone was cordial and I provided her with the model and serial number of my dishwasher and advised her that the touch pad had gotten progressively worse and it finnaly gave up the ghost. An appointment was made and the repairman/owner responded within the two hour window that they had promised. My wife was at home and the repairman/owner.. after pressing three buttons on the touch pad.. told her that the malfunction was the touch pad!! I spoke with him over the phone and and was informed that he was charging us $65.00 for the diagnostic that he just performed and that it would not be deducted from the final cost!!! When I explained that other repairman either do free estimates or deduct the diagnostic from the the bill he chuckled and told me that I was paying for his gas and time!!! I asked the owner/repairman if he could wait 10minutes for me to get home so we could discuss this and he stated that he didnt have the time.
Description of Work: A diagnostic of a malfunction in the dishwasher I was already aware of!
