+ -1 moreChris and his team did an awesome job. He came to give an estimate the same day we called, and the job was done the next day. The crew was courteous and quick and left the yard spotless. We were pleasantly surprised that the job cost almost ONE THIRD of an estimate from another company. We highly recommend Chesapeake Bay Tree and will definitely use them in the future.

+ 0 moreThere are not enough words to explain how thankful we are for Chris and his team who came all the way to NC to help clean up from hurricane Florence. We evacuated and came home to a mess of a house, with a huge tree on our roof and half our trees knocked over throughout our yard. We live back in the woods with only a small dirt road with a creek on either side, very difficult to get to. We were turned away by several companies, which told us the job was too difficult and would require too many men. Then there was our saving grace, Chris and his crew. The moment we met Chris, he told us it would be a heck of a job but he loved a challenge. That right there goes to show what kind of dedication him and his team have, for the work they do! Not only did they show up a day early because we had rain coming and needed to get the tree off the house, they went above and beyond to work with the obstacles of our difficult terrain. I have never witnessed a team work as hard and quickly as they do! We are forever grateful for them and there is no one I could recommend more for this kind of work! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

One was getting into the power lines and Chris contacted Dominion power, had them trim it away from the power lines. Chris gave me the best price from several quotes. I will hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone. they were in and out quickly. Cleaned up after themselves. I wish all businesses' operated this way

+ -1 moreChris and his crew did an excellent job removing a large and dying oak tree from a difficult place in our backyard. They were very professional and efficient. They had to remove a large portion of our fence with some shrubs to gain access to the backyard with their cherry picker truck. Upon completion they left the landscape clean and free of debris. They replaced the fence and the shrubs. They also filled in any indents made by the tree when they felled it. One would hardly know that they were ever here after the work was completed. We highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I called the owner, Chris, to arrange a firewood delivery. He had run out by that point, but was very friendly and referred me to a buddy who still had a supply.

Chesapeake Bay Tree handed me the following documents; insurance, city permit, references, owned all of the tools, did not rely on renting the tools necessary to do the job. Three of our neighbors hired Chesapeake Bay Tree just after watching how the job went.
Description of Work: Chesapeake Bay Tree removed 9 trees, 6 pine and 3 oak. They ground the stumps, removed the grindings, and cleaned up the yard and surrounding area. This was my second experience hiring Chesapeake Bay Tree Inc. I had them remove 14 trees, 7 pine and 7 oak trees back in 2008.

+ -1 moreFirst experience was fine. So we decided to use them gain to remove 2 trees in font yard. Called 3 times finally got someone to respond and then never showed up to give estimate. If you are persistent you might get them to come an give estimate. Not sure it is worth all that effort.

+ -1 moreFantastic! They showed up with an army of people and trucks and quickly got the job done. I added on an extra part of the tree to be trimmed and they made me feel that it was no big deal for them to add it on.
Description of Work: Cut huge section of tree off roof of house and a huge section that was hanging over the side of fence into neighbors yard.

+ -1 moreThis is our 2nd job performed by Chesapeake Bay Tree and we were just as pleased this time as the first. The crew arrived as scheduled and worked like a well oiled machine, everyone was in sync. They cleaned as they cut. The 100 ft tree was down in approx 3.5 hrs, the crew broke for lunch and returned to take down the second tree, grind the stumps and remove the remainder of the debris. Our yard was raked, indentions (very minimal) were filled, the wood/sawdust was blown from our roof and sidewalks. The chips were taken to a local horse farm for recycling and the large portions of the trees are to be picked up and used by a lumber company. We are pleased that the trees were being used for other purposes and not just being dumped. Chris Mowery does a great job and his crew is terrific. We highly recommend them and will use them again when needed.
Description of Work: We had 2 very large pine trees taken down, one approx 100 ft tall and the other around 75 ft.

About a week later they performed the work ahead of some anticipated rain that would have damaged my front yard with their heavy equipment. They arrived on time with a crew that worked quickly and efficiently. There was no damage to the yard, and the cleanup was great. Good price based on other quotes I received, and they did everything they said they would do. I'll definitely use them again.

+ 0 moreOverall it was an excellent experence. I have used three other companies in the last 10 years and they did a good job but Chesapeake Bay Tree is the company to use. I am very pleased and I am not easy to please. Price was right work was excellent.. I will now use Chesapeake Bay Tree going forward.
Description of Work: My estimator was Erinn Otterson ( 757-285-1644). Erinn was polite and professional. I was trying to make a decision on if I should remove one or three old growth maples, as they were nearing the end of their life, dropping lots of small branches and to say little about the leaves they drop. Erinn gave me options. Take down and grind the stumps for one or three trees. I decided the price was very good for the scope of work ( remove three maples, grind stumps and level the yard). We were not sure if there was going to be a need for additional top soil and he priced that also, but I ended up not needing the top soil. A date and time was set and Chesapeake Bay Tree arrived and went right to work. Erinn showed up with two crews of four , so we had eight guys and two heavy duty trucks and equipment. I will tell you they were fast, safe and went after it. At no time did you see anyone standing around..never. They started at 8AM and finishe up about 4:00 PM. They even went to lunch in shifts so that the work continued. I was impressed. The owner came by and checked on his team and ask if I had any questions. End result was you would never know that there were trees in the yard. The team did such a great job I tipped them enought to buy lunch for the crew on the following work day.

+ -1 moreThey were fantastic from start to finish. Gave us the best price we'd been quoted by far. They showed up when they said they would. The crew was polite, professional and everyone clearly knew what they were supposed to do. They took down a huge tree in about 1 1/2 hours (actually it was fascinating to watch). When they were gone you could hardly tell they'd even been there. Only 2 small complaints: They left a fair sized depression in my yard where the one of the sections had fallen and they forgot to close the gate behind themselves - both easily forgiven considering it was intensely hot and later in the afternoon and I'm sure they were ready to go home. A small oversight considering the absolute professionalism of the entire operation. Bonus perk: The owner offered me a free load of firewood. Said he would drop it off in my driveway. I almost wish I had another tree to take out just so I could watch them work again. If I ever do need another tree service, I won't even bother getting other quotes. I'll just call them back.

+ -1 moreChesapeak Bay Tree Service was very polite and on time. Chris Mowery was very professional and so was his crew. He was on time and if he could not make it he would call and let me know he was unable due to the weather. He had all the right equipment to get the rather large trees cut down in a timely fashion. Due to the weather it took him and his crew a few days to get the job done, but Chris always kept me informed of what was going on and he cleaned up his mess when he was done. He even sent his truck to pick up the logs afterwards. I asked him if I could keep some of the logs for my fireplace and he cut some extra pieces for me. I would use him again to cut my last two tree's down.
Description of Work: Chesapeake Bay Tree service removed 8 Gum Trees and grinned the stumps.

Chesapeake Bay Tree Inc, have restored my faith in service providers/Contractors. I have already recommended their services to neighbors and friends alike. I will definitely use them again.

Their price was very fair compared to the others in the area. We had a sponsor here that took down a large tree. Our neighbors had had them before and recommended them. They were really good. + -1 moreThe experience with Chris and the Chesapeake Bay Tree Service was a great one. I was actually schedule for the last week of March, but do to rain the night before Chris called me and asked if he could come cut the trees down on 3/24/11. He was very polite and very reasonably priced. The guys who actually did the service were very professional, they even cleaned up everything once they were done. I had informed Chris before the job that I wanted him to chop some of the wood up so I may use it for my fireplace, he forgot to chop the wood up; however he did promise me that he would have his guys drop some chopped wood up to me the very next day. Chris was very easy to talk to and I would use him again to chop my last two trees down.
Description of Work: I had 8 Gum Ball trees in my back yard that I needed cut down. The trees were very close to my house and I need to get them down as soon as possible.

Chris and his crew showed up promptly as he had stated and completed the work very profesionally. They cleaned up the work area completely. They also cut down a tree and trimmed some limbs for our neighbor. We were extremely satisfied with the work and the price and plan to use Chesapeake Bay Tree for any future tree work. We highly recommend Chesapeake Bay Tree.

Description of Work: Bay tree, inc trimmed 3 large trees that were covering my roof and removed one huge ornamental pear tree. The day before Bay Tree arrived my husband and I started cutting down a Crepe Myrtle tree. I asked the worker how much he would charge to finish the job and told him I would have to ask my husband, after 5 mins I returned and the worker had finished cutting the tree down without charge. Chesapeake Bay Tree,INC , staff were efficient, polite,pleasant, knowledgible and cleaned everything up also,They arrived on time!!!!

+ -1 moreWe had 2 thirty plus year old trees that had limbs that had grown over the house. The "offending" limbs were removed along with low hanging branches and dead wood. They also trimmed dead branches and low branches from 3 pine trees.
Description of Work: Chris and his crew trimmed 5 large trees. Some of the branches were hanging over the house. They were careful not to drop limbs on the plantings under the trees. They cleaned up all the limbs and leaves.
