Total area was 320 sq feet - priced project in total at 3500 then took off 499. Should have divided priced by area then subtracted more like 1000.

It was several weeks before the work could be scheduled. Two follow-up calls were made but it was completed in one day. I am satisfied with the end product.

Dennis Ames was great to deal with. Not only does he have the skills of his trade, he also has a good eye for free flow design and layout. I'd recommend him to anyone.

The final result was excellent. We had some issues with communication, he did not stay in touch with us as much as we would of liked throughout the project. We also had problems getting him to call us back to schedule the initial appointment.

Superb service. Very punctual and did a good job communicating when the originally planned date had to change due to the weather. On site, the crew was very efficient. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will be the first to call if I need concrete work in the future.

Their attention to detail was impeccable and their commitment to staying on task was commendable. The entire process took three full days and my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the results. Mr. Ames is an easy professional to work with and the homogenous nature of his crew shows. I will definitely use Ames Construction's services again if the need arises.

Original deal was for up to 100 square feet of concrete. The job was to replace a section of driveway estimated to be a bit larger than 100 square feet. Provider gave me an estimate for the work that greatly exceeded the proportional amount of the work. Felt as if it was a "bait and switch" attempt. Provider failed to respond to 2 emails regarding a counter offer to do the work for a fair, proportional price. Very disappointed. Very unprofessional.

Service provider came out and gave estimate. He was very gruff and just seemed uninterested in the job. He did call within 4 days of buying deal and came out the next day.

I called Mr. Ames who answered his phone immediately. We briefly spoke about the work I wanted to complete and set up a time for him to stop by my house to give me an estimate. He showed up himself promptly at our arranged time and provided me an estimate for a couple different options to accomplish what I wanted. After reviewing the estimate, I called him back a couple days later to accept his estimate and we arranged an approximate window to start work. The day before he was scheduled to start work, Mr. Ames stopped by my house and we again went over how I wanted my concrete poured and he marked out the outline. His work crew came in the next day to dig out the area and installed the forms. Concrete was poured the next day and it looks great. Mr. Ames stopped by later that day and informed me that the forms would be stripped later in the week to allow proper curing. His crew stripped the forms and back-filled the area around the concrete. I couldn't be happier with the service provided and the quality of work. He accomplished exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to use Ames Concrete Construction again and would highly recommend them to anyone.

EXCELLENT- THERE WAS A DELAY IN STARTING WHICH I UNDERSTAND WAS WEATHER DELAYS ON PREVIOUS JOBS . THE ONLY EFFECT IT HAD ON MY JOB WAS NOT BEING ABLE TO SEED THE AREA TO RETURN GRASS TO ORIGINAL CONDITION DUE TO HEAT . THE PATIO WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE DISCUSSED AND DONE IN AN EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL MANNER W/ SUPERB RESULTS . HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THEIR PROFESSIONALISM AND QUALITY OF WORK .

Filling an Unwanted Swimming Pool http://ow.ly/lv40D Deconstructed and filled an expensive, unwanted, too shaded swimming pool prepped area by manually removing some shrubs, garden timbers, etc. to allow bobcat access Consulted with next door neighbors took care of his concerns about the process Broke about 24 holes through bottom of pool for drainage Removed and disposed of liner Cut up apron and dropped into pool Used a carbide saw to score apron for clean edges on parts we kept Left some apron for footing for decks and landing steps Removed and replaced fence Repaired driveway Graded for drainage away from house Clean up Filled pool with 8 loads of sand, compacting to prevent sink holes as they went. Finished with 2 loads of high quality sandy loam, adjusted grade to drain properly. Sandy Loam has proved weed free and of high growing quality since fill. Grass has taken off (Southern Belle Hybrid Fescue) Was able to access property with tracked bobcat along side of house. 11 ft opening. Bobcat needs at least 8 ft wide opening. Weight of bobcat broke through unknown sinkhole on edge of driveway. Ames repaired promptly, filling and matching color and texture as best as could be expected on a 30 year old driveway. Clean-up was through and complete. The job took two work days (interrupted by some downpours that actually helped to compact the pool. The Bobcat Ballet was fascinating to watch.

Dennis and his crew did a great job. They built up the slab area and stalls and did a really nice job on the pour. The grade they did on the outside and gravel they put under the lean-to was exactly what I was hoping for. His prices were exceptionally competitive and the quality of work was excellent. Hire them!

The guy from Ames Concrete Construction was always here on time and he did his job as discussed. A couple of things did not turn out as they were supposed to but he is supposed to make good on that. The only thing I did not like about his work was a lack in attention to detail in some areas.
