Have been using service Since May. Work that has been promised such as trimming hedges, tilling up natural area, planting and mulching still not done. He did tell me on his last visit (June 21st) that his electric clippers had broke and he would get to the hedges when they were fixed. He promised to do the work on June 26th on the natural area and was a no show and he is supposed to come by and check the grass to see if it needs to be cut, and it did because of all the rain we have had. He was in the neighborhood that day and did not come and do the work. Has told me in the past he would come on a Friday since work was not done that Tuesday due to rain in May and did not show up. His work is excellent as far as the cutting of grass and edging, but the other promised services have not been done. I am unable to do this work due to knee injuries and husband is not available to take care of it. If he wants to keep his customers, there needs to be better communication and doing work that has been promised. Patrick is a nice guy and I know he is busy but one has to remember, if you tell a customer you are going to do something, it needs to be done and if it can't you should communicate that to the customer. Patrick did show up Friday the 29th while I was gone and the hedges were trimmed and the mulch was in the yard. Prep work was started and waiting to see the end results. All I can ask of someone who is performing work, if there is an issue with getting the work done or it can't be done at the time that was promised, just call and leave a message letting me know. I want to have faith in someone who is performing a service for me. I expect that the work when finished will be excellent. I believe in second chances but as they say in baseball, three strikes you are out.

Here's an update on American Lawn Care. This fall we adopted a puppy. The puppy is great; I'm not great about cleaning up the yard after the puppy. I work from a home office and on more than one occasion I have looked out the window to see one of the two guys with a shovel cleaning up after my dog. These guys go way beyond the call of duty. They are owner-operators and take great pride in their work. In the summer (and before the puppy...we'll see this summer) we had the best looking lawn on our street. These guys are great!

American will also do things like fertilize and mulch but they charge extra. We've used them for several years and like them. They're always on time and our lawn looks great.

My lawn looked very good when American got done with it. They were professional workers and they showed up whenever they were supposed to. They did their job quickly. We have had a yearly contract with them for years and I would rather not say what it costs us a year.
