+ -1 moreDuring the past freezing weather, the filter broke. The resulting water flow from the attic resulted in approximately $30,000 in damage to my house. It will take at least two months to completely repair the damage. I am at a loss to explain why these two professionals would ignore the directions in the instruction manual and put a temperature vulnerable filter in a non-heated area. When discussing the decisions made about this installation with other air conditioning professionals, none of them understand how Air Concepts thought this was a wise installation choice. Air Concepts has not assumed liability or responsibility for the damage caused to my house. They have not answered e-mail inquiries or returned phone calls. I strongly recommend avoiding doing any business with this company.
Description of Work: Air Concepts installed a whole house humidifier along with a York heating and air conditioning system. This review is solely to report the professional choice Mike and Grady made for the humdifier and its install. The installation instructions are clear that the unit is not to be installed in an area subject to temperatures below 35 degrees. They chose to install the unit in the attic anyway. Additionally, they used a plastic inline water filter designed for use with a refrigerator. This filter was not installed with protection from freezing temperatures.
