ADVANCED IRRIGATION

I called Joe on Thursday morning 4/24/2014 and left a message. He returned my call within an hour and let me know that he would call again later in the day once he was able to access his schedule and set up an appointment time. He called at the end of the day just as promised and set up an appointment to come out on 4/28/2014 at 2pm to take a look at my well water pump. He arrived at the set appointment. In fact he was 10-15 minutes early! Nice! I explained to him that my well water pump was not holding a prime. He quickly figured out the problem and went to work. Within a few minutes he had my pump up and running like a charm! He checked and adjusted all of the sprinkler heads as needed. I appreciate it that he took the time to explain everything he was doing and answered all of my questions in a very professional and courteous manner. Joe is excellent and knows what he is doing. It is obvious that he brings many years of experience with him. I will be letting him take care of any future needs on my irrigation system. He did everything right! Thank you so much Joe Melick!

Joe Melick came out the same day I called to check out my leaking well pump. He returned, as planned, 2 days later with a repair kit for the pump. Turned out the pump was very corroded and required a significant amount of work to disassemble. Joe worked over 4 hours to rebuild the pump. Unfortunately, the shaft was too pitted to salvage. We agreed on a replacement pump and a cost estimate. Joe put in the new pump the following day and all is now well pardon the pun)... Joe refused to charge me for the 4 hours of labor he spent working the original pump repair. I insisted on paying for the kit - he at least let me do that... You simply do not find a more honest, dependable, friendly and knowledgeable professional than Joe Melick. Stop looking for anyone else and call Joe. In fact, please feel free to call me at home so I can tell you how good this guy really is. Ask for Joe Lyon at 412-2035.

Advanced Irrigation came to the house (on time) fixed the broken head and left everyth9ng ready for spring

Joe is a great guy. He returned my calls, showed up exactly when he said he would and did a great job!! Additionally, he was professional and courteous, his truck and trailer were clean and organized, just overall a very professional guy who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely use him again!!!!!!!

He was very punctual, and if we had any problems he was very prompt in getting them fixed. For a one man team he did an excellent job. He is prompt in returning phone calls, and fixing any issues, and you would never know he was here because he always cleaned up after himself. If we had to do it again we would definitely use him again.

I called this company approximately five to seven times. I send emails and never got neither a call or an email back. My thinking process went like: If is this hard to get this guy to come out for a potential $3K to $5K job, just imagine how hard is going to get him to come out to fix a $100 worth repair.

Very impressed with Joe. He was professional, responded quickly, explained everything he did and did the job in a very timely manner. We will be using him again, for ongoing irrigation care and maintenance. I highly recommend this company. I feel like its difficult to find honest people to hire for home repairs.

Everything went great. I had a slightly more difficult than average time getting him out, but that's understandable given the time of year. Joe couldn't have been more nice and professional. He answered all my questions and I felt like he was very honest and up front about everything. I will definitely be using him in the future for any other irrigation related projects.

I thought the price was very reasonable and we were extremely satisfied. I really look forward to working with him again in the future and I'd be willing to recommend him to anybody that is needing anything for their lawn systems.

Left message on 4/22/2013. My call was not returned. I ended up using another vendor who called me back.

It was obvious, even to me, where the break was. I had another contractor (with fantastic reviews) come out and give me a quote of $180. Mr. Melnick came out the next day and could fix it on the spot for $65. He said it could possibly be more depending on what he found but assured me it wouldn't be too much. It ended up being 2 lines that were busted which put the price at $75. I ended up paying him $80 because he saved me $100 from the previous quote. Mr. Melnick was professional, punctual, and honest. I asked him about some drainage work in my yard. I had a previous quote of $3500 for an elaborate system. He told me to just try a little topsoil to help level off 2 of the 3 spots since they were very minor issues. On the third spot he quoted me $500 for a french drain that had to be run under a sidewalk and through the curb to the street. I will definitely use Advanced Irrigation when I'm ready to do that work.

Called Joe and he came by the next day and described the problem. He spent some time trying to identify the issue. He provided an estimate and we agreed on another day for him to do the work. Joe came when agreed on and on time and performed the work that was needed. Now, everything seems to be in working order.

After contacting Joe he came the next day in the rain. First he replaced the screens in the nozzle and replaced some of the sprinkler head in the zone that cycled. At first we thought this solved the problem; however the pump continued to cycle. I called him back and he was able to come back and replace a couple more sprinkler heads. Now my pump is not cycling anymore. For the stuck sprinkler head he dug and found the head stuck underneath a root of my tree. He cut the root to free the sprinkler head. The tree was fine since it had more roots. I was happy with the service. In recent call due to pump cycling in another zone and a leaky sprinkler head possibly due to aeration of lawn, I have not been able to get in touch with Joe. He did call me back but we've been doing phone tag. I will continue to use him because he is professional and came quickly (if able to set up a meeting).

I haven't had any work done yet. I got estimates from two different companies and they were both very good. They gave me options. I was fine with them. I would probably consider using them.

My time frame was flexible and Joe performed what we contracted within that time frame. Overall, I am pleased with everything he did. The job is very neat and the outside spigots look as though they have been in place since the home was built 23 years ago.

I left a message on 3/27 which Joe/owner returned that evening but I was not home. I returned the call 3/28 and was directed to his cell phone. He was in the area and said he could swing by and give an estimate. He looked at the 22 year old pump which I was sure we'd be replacing and he said it wasn't necessary (the call was originally made because it was leaking). Joe gave me what was such a surprisingly low estimate considering some contractors charge a $65 just to drive to the house, that I said "do it" right then and there. He preformed the above mentioned services and then explained them in detail and also gave me an education of inspecting the pressure tank regularly and where to purchase and how to install should it be needed down the road. When he tested the system, he noticed one of the heads in the last zone didn't performecorrectly, pulled the top off, bled the line, cleaned the filter, replaced. We've attempted to have this fixed three times! Now works great. This wasn't in the work order request so Joe/owner obviously goes above and beyond expectations. I've found my new contractor for all my irrigation needs from here on out.

I was able to get an appointment within a week of calling. Joe showed up when he said he would and finished the job in a timely manner.

Joe came two days after the well was installed, and finished the entire system in less than three days. Joe works alone and is very conscientious in all aspects of his work. I had a small problem with an over cycling pump. I called Joe at 8:30am and he was here by 9:00 to correct the problem(a piece of glue was stuck in one of the valves preventing it from closing). Over all I couln't be happier.

Excellent, Joe and his helper finished in one day and everything has worked flawlessly since.

Joe was very friendly, informative and worked diligently to accomplish the work needed. He also installed a couple of missing screens from my existing sprinkler heads that should have been installed by the original contractor. I wish used Advanced Irrigation the first time. He did an excellent job.

Joe initially diagnosed loose fittings that were leaking water, replaced them, and the problem was better but not 100% solved. So he did some more investigation, called a friend with a question, and fixed the problem. He's been very professional and returned my calls within a reasonable time. I will definitely use him again and would recommend him.
