Richard's crew came in and removed the stubborn popcorn ceiling and several plaster patches. Tom then added a coat of plaster to smooth out the ceiling in preparation for painting. The final results looked great and are a definite improvement over what was there originally. The project was completed on time and Richard was very responsive with all communication.

You were so concerned about who conducted the job that you provided me an estimate for and so persistent to know, and I knew you were so concerned by you responding (harassing me)in three different replies asking me who did the last job, like it really mattered. Since that job is complete, I see you may feel that you may waste your time to provide a estimate on some work since your service's do include renovating, according to your website. It's all good, I can pay the next company to provide a renovation service!

As the plaster work was for repairs, I was surprised at how well the textured swirl plaster blended in to the existing walls. Owner and operator Richard responded quickly with a request for an estimate and to any other questions we had. He came out to the my rental property himself for the estimate, quoted me a figure and emailed me a formal estimate the next business day. I was already liked his attention to detail in these early stages. We scheduled the work immediately, and they showed up on time and got to work right away. They hung plastic and made other preparations to minimize any mess. The repair was in an upstairs bedroom. The workers were respectful and professional, and there was hardly anything to clean when they finished. Just a little dusting and vacuuming. The workers were professional and respectful and were able to give me advice on what to use to paint the popcorn ceiling. I'm very happy with the work and the interactions and would definitely use Above Board again.

The owner and 4 workers arrived on time, got set up and started working. One more worker arrived about half an hour later and joined in. The crew worked quickly and efficiently and did a superb job. They corrected other problems in the affected rooms and hallway surfaces which were not related to the water damage but would have been glaringly obvious compared to the new looking repaired areas and spots. I was not charged extra for the additional work. The crew worked straight through, cleaned up and finished everything in about 6 hours. The quality of the work was so obvious and impressive that a painting contractor I later had visit for an estimate asked me who performed the job--so that he might employ them on some of his future work.

Richard and Chris arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and quickly introduced themselves to me. They very professionally protected all furniture and carpet, and built a containment area to avoid dust and plaster from flying about the home. They quickly removed the damaged ceiling wallboard, vacuumed up the blown in insulation that had come down. Richard had discovered that the ceiling was not popcorn, but plaster made to look like it was of the popcorn texture. Never missing a beat, they replaced the wallboard, taped the seams and set about matching the perfect texture of the existing plaster. They used three different mixtures until they were satisfied. They cleaned up everything, and as they left, you could not tell any work had every been done to the ceiling. I would strongly recommend Richard to you. Extremely professional, quality work at a very fair price.

The crew arrived at 8 am and proceeded to lay down coverings to protect our floor. They tore out the damaged ceiling and replaced it with drywall and then gave it a smooth plaster finish. They were finished by 2 pm. Everything was cleaned up and there was no mess. The crew all were professional and all were gentlemen. I would use them again and I would recommend them.

Superb! They were very professional and very knowledgeable. You can't even see where the repair was made. I am very pleased. It took about half a day for them to do the job. One man who did the plaster work was very professional and he takes his time to make sure everything is blended in and you cannot see where the repair is made.

Richard and his team did a great job! He was always easy to get a hold of and he was spot on with the length of time needed to complete the project. I'm especially pleased with the plaster work done as it matches nicely with the rest of the house including the textured ceiling. Work took three separate days over the course of 3 weeks and everyone was great about leaving the area worked in as clean at the end of the day as when they started. This was one of my least liked spaces in my house, and now it's my favorite.
