Description of Work: Removed old ceiling with water damage, made repairs and replaced with a new ceiling. I was very impressed with this company, honestly. Professional, on point with the time, the quality of work was perfect. You cannot even tell there was damage there to begin with. It looks like a brand new ceiling. They painted the ceiling and cleaned up after themselves. Very courteous and respectful employees. I have never left such a great review for anyone like this. I can honestly say I will definitely recommend Above Board. Thank you for your great service.

Description of Work: Repaired damaged drywall, replaced all wood trim around door entrance and window, installed new laminate wood flooring, replaced kick boards and added quarter round trim in our foyer. Description of Work: I contacted Above Board Drywall & More Inc. to obtain an estimate to remove a medicine cabinet and drywall the hole and to replace a section of water damage ceiling. From my initial contact with Richard, he was very nice and professional. He came to my home and gave me an estimate which he later email to me with all the job details. On the day of the job, they arrived a few minutes early (good) and got right to work. Both repairs took a couple of hours and they left the work areas cleaner than they were. They matched the popcorn on the ceiling and it looks great, like nothing ever happened. Overall, we are very, very happy and would not hesitate to use this company again.

+ -1 moreMr White and his associates were very talented in their operation; maintained professionalism and above all, made a very good impression upon my wife (who NEVER hangs around for or to observe repairs in progress) to say that the job was OUTSTANDING and that she (my wife) could hardly see where Mr. White and his associates replaced the damaged drywall with the new section. Mr. White told me that this was his first project to clean or clear out a well-clogged dryer vent line and if this was his first attempt -- he could have fooled me -- because the vent line -- possibly never cleaned since the house was built in 1973, was pretty well clogged and moisture remaining in the vent line causing the so called damage to occur. This is where Mr. White and his associates used their minds, together to vacuum the vent line, while packing and unpacking the vent line, using a garden hose . After 2 1/2" hours, Mr. White had the vent line cleared and dried out; reattached the vent line to the roof; sealed the connections with rubber spray and then had the new drywall in place, mudded and swirled. Since the project was scheduled during Thanksgiving week, Mr. White and I agreed to let the new drywall repair dry for an extended period, in which Mr. White returned on 11/28/2011 and painted the overhead -- the entire overhead -- to match the colors...PERFECTLY !! Arrangements were made, to pay Mr. White, $ 250.00 when the new drywall was installed and $ 250.00 when the entire overhead was painted. Mr. White was paid in cash and signed each time, funds were issued to him !! Mr. White called me tonight to see if my wife was happy with the project -- and I told him what her impression was.... If I need another repair service accomplished, I WILL DEFINITELY contact Above Board Drywall & More Inc to have the work accomplished. Mr. White's expertise and his use of a military discount were primary reasons why I used his services and they are really appreciated. If I could award a A+++++...I would !!

He was on time and completed the job ahead of schedule and under the original estimate. He cleaned up each day and took care to protect my furniture and electronics. I could not be more pleased with his performance and the results. The repairs are completely invisible! You will not find a better contractor for this type of work!
Description of Work: Repair of water damaged popcorn ceiling in den, dining room, bedroom and study, and smooth finish ceiling in kitchen. Replaced several large sections of wallboard, and repaired other areas. Painted to match existing colors.
