A Cut Above The Curb

They do awesome work for us. My point of contact is Robert. He is always on time, professional and does a great job. When I text, he always responds quickly.

They didn't do a whole four hours. I was here and then I left to go to the store and I wasn't gone that long. They might have done two hours of work. I complained about it and they said there was two of them and so it was doubled. I wasn't happy with that. They didn't do the back, they were gone when I got home.

Not well. The lack of communication on the job was disturbing. The owner didn't have any employees show up to help with the job, it was not a large job, but he stated nobody would come in to help even though it was a weekday. The pavers were installed and the job was "completed" however, he was supposed to return after the weather broke to put more sand down to compact it more. I reached out to him multiple times to have him come back and kept getting empty promises. I would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE.

I had to call company directly and follow up to my choice of scheduling dates because there was no response through Angie's list. I feel I got a good price and they cleaned up well.

Will be rehiring for the fall. Very responsive, responsible, professional and trustworthy. Excellent work.

All went very well; rain led to delays but that was certainly not the contractor's fault!

Company was very courteous and professional. Left the site well-groomed and neatly organized. Definitely interested in using again.

Robert was with me every step of the way. He and his team leveled, seeded, and even advised me as to sprinkler placement. I now have grass where none would grow before.

Robert was extremely professional! He called when he started work and called when he completed. Our lawn was a mess and he made it look excellent again. True professional!

Two and a half day job. A Cut Above the Curb is a very good company. I've used them several times with very good results at a fair price. Professional and punctual they provide a great service. 2 trees were removed, several trimmed and heavy brush removed from the back yard. I got rid of the jungle.

A cut above the curb did excellent work on trimming multiple shrubs at our backyard. The service was professional and fast. Would recommend them and hire them again.

It took awhile to actually schedule the work and no one came on the first date scheduled. Once they got here, they did a great job.

It took at least six+ weeks from the date I ordered (and paid) for the services to get the work completed. It was several weeks before I had any contact with the company offering the deal and that was only because I went back to the "deal offer", found the contact information and called them and left a message. The owner did call back right away, was very pleasant and apologetic, stating that Angie's List site was undergoing changes and was not notifying contractors in as timely a manner as they had in the past when "deals" were purchased, It still took a few weeks to schedule a date for the work to be done and then no one showed on the scheduled date. After another call, a date was scheduled and the work was completed. Despite the long delay, the work was nicely done and I was pleased with the result.

They did great- we have them scheduled to come out again to clean out flower beds.

Went very well. Robert knows his business and did an excellent job of trimming the shrubs. Was very careful in picking up the debris and cleaning up all the trimmings. Would hire again.

I purchased a package deal in March 2015. Initially the response was quick, but work was not done until June due to personal reasons within the business. In early October I noticed the shrubs and Azalea bushes were withered and starting to die. I was unable to get in contact with anyone until Apri 2016. I got in contact with the owner, explained the situation and a date was set for May 5, 2016 to come out and replace the items. I even sent an email with pictures of the flowerbeds and shrubs. Due to the rain, the appointment never happened. I tried contacting him SEVERAL TIMES! I spoke with the secretary on numerous occasions in which I was told the owner would call me back. STILL NO RESPONSE. I was finally able to get a hold of the owner in which he stated during the phone conversation, "the IT department is calling so I'll give you a call back." Needless to say I never received a call back. I WILL NOT BE USING THIS PROVIDER AGAIN!!

It wasn't great and wasn't bad so if I went back in there I would probably give it the average. It was just average. I remember that my wife had some specific concerns and they didn't really take her specific concerns...they did their job and what we asked them to do but it is like they weren't listening to what we were actually saying.

No Contractor contact after initial discussions. I opted for a refund. Suspect backlog or personal issues. A Cut Above The Curb is a good company, things just didn't work out this time.

A Cut Above the Curb, came the same day we called and sent us an email with the quote and they were here on time Monday morning. They did a wonderful job, other that the hand prints on the siding which we just washed off. Not a big deal! Their quote was very reasonable. We will have them again to do landscaping for us. They will be our go to company! I'd like to say the two young men were very polite when we went out to see how they were doing.

Workers were excellent; did a wonderful job.

I called him to prompt him to submit his estimate as I am taking 3 bids and I didn't want him to miss out. He never called or responded.
