A Cut Above The Curb

At first it seemed like this would be an excellent provider. They accommodated some changes in our schedule as well as some weather delays. They came out early to do some of the heavier work to be certain they could complete the work on the scheduled date as we had two "Good Deal" coupons. The initial work went well except for them pulling off the top of some fencing around the pad for my trash can. When they came out to do the final work I pointed out the damage to the owner who assured me that he would personally fix it. It is still broken. Additionally, one of the workers (accidentally, I'm sure) took one of my yard tools with him when he left and it took over a week for them to find it and return it. They were supposed to bundle or bag the sticks and yard debris for the city to collect on trash day, but they just piled it on the street behind my fence. When it hadn't been picked up after three weeks, I went out and bagged some of it and made a neater pile with the rest, and it was picked up the next trash day.

4 guys showed up to do the job and throughout the couple hours they were out, I notice at least 2 of the guys just standing around. At one point one of the men were literally picking up leaves from the driveway -- leaf by leaf -- and putting each leaf individually in the garbage bag....needless to say a really inefficient use of my money. I went out and asked if he need a broom or rake and eventually he understood what I was getting at. I felt like I had to make it visible that I was watching for things to be done efficiently. Moreover at the end of the service, the owner asked what my husband did for a living which I thought was unprofessional. It was clearly so he could figure out what to quote me. Overall not completely terrible; however, wasn't pleased. Would not use this company againi

A little more cost than originally anticipated, but it was a big job and they did it on time and well and very professional. I am getting ready to have them do another job.

I was so impressed by this group. They were professional and had great follow-up. Mostly, it was the customer service out of the office-when we were rained out they took the initiative to proactively reschedule the very next day. The crew worked quickly and professionally and the office proactively reached out afterwards to make sure we were happy. When there was a part not done to our liking, the crew came back the very same day to cheerfully address it and confirm we were happy with the solution. SO impressed-that's how you get and keep customers.

This crew came out and laid 30 bails of pine straw and 8 bags of mulch within the time my Angie's List deal allotted. They were professional, friendly, and very accommodating. Everyone had a smile! I highly recommend a cut above the curb - I will use them again for sure!

I purchased 2 men for 2 hours, they brought 4 men and finished in 1 hour, which was fine. Very nice, quick and neat. Well worth the price.

I had purchased the four hours of labor special. Which came down to four men showing up for one hour. They worked fast, edged the two beds nicely, and cleaned up the mess.

They did what they were supposed to do and saved me time and energy.

We had a tough job- removal of 5 big beds, rather than adding them. Previous tenants had also let small trees run amok and we ended up with several with 3-4 inch trunks next to our house, and in beds where they shouldn't have been. Several landscapers didn't even show up for an estimate when they saw the job, and A Cut Above the Curb was 1/2 the price of other estimates we had. All workers are very professional; we decided to keep them for a regular lawn service as well. It should be noted that part of the agreement was that they could take longer than usual. . .ended up being 3-4 weeks total rather than two but that was OK with us.

They were very courteous when we spoke and were able to accommodate my need for quick service before I moved. They thoroughly raked and cleared the yard and had the bags ready for pickup at the curb. I was very pleased with their work and will definitely use them again in my new residence.

The owner and crew arrived at the agreed time and went right to work. They parked on the street, their idea, to avoid the risk of scratching a new driveway. That meant pushing wheelbarrows a greater distance to get the mulch in the beds. The owner was careful to account for all the time purchased through the "Big Deal" at the end. I honestly didn't think they could finish all the work I asked for in the allotted time. They finished everything and did a great job of cleaning up right down the cleaning the gutter next to a road under construction. I am very satisfied with the work they did I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone.

Service was good. I will be using them again for other work.

They were very nice. They were a little bit hard to get hold off. They were a little bit more expensive than some of the estimate that I got but they seemed to be like they know what they are talking about.

All went well and I will definately use his service again.

Raked pine straw, prune bushes, made the yard presentable. They did both the front and back yard. Theycame twice, once for the front yard and another time for the back yard. They took it upon themselves to do the back yard because they ran out of time the first time when they were doing the front yard. They took the responsibility for the follow up, with no cost to me. I was very impressed by their honesty and effort to satisfy the customer. I would be glad to use them again, and tell others about them.

Very well. Scheduled 3 hours work and certainly got 3 hours effort. I have more work to do and will have them back soon to continue.

I purchased a $99 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they did awesome. They did a really good job and went above and beyond. What stood out was their promptness, friendliness and professionalism.

Very happy with the services. We had to reschedule because of inclement weather so I was given an extra hour of landscaping for my inconvenience. Quality of work was great and customer service was excellent. Highly recommend giving them a call!

Arrived on time, with crew, worked hard all day. Due to the extent of the cleaning, and some previous commitments, one crew member returned the next morning to quickly finish all that had been promised. Everyone was courteous, respectful, knowledgeable. A wonderful surprise was a "thank you" gift from the company! I received a beautiful "sparkly" to hang in my spanking clean window - when the sun strikes it, there is a beautiful "rainbow" effect. Even my kitties were "thanked!" Another great feature is that I am still "in touch" with this company via newsletters and emails. A very respectful, thankful and gracious company. I will definitely have them back!

Great! Arrived on time, worked quickly, gave detailed info on how I could maintain by myself, or offered to continue services. Knowledgeable and reassuring. Also willing to give "special Angie's promotion" rate for the rest of the year, or to anyone else I made recommendation to. Unfortunately, I could not partake of the offer at the time, but I definitely would use their services again! My yard looked wonderful, and my back and legs felt great!

Our beds in front looked like a jungle as well as some unruly spaces in back. The guys dug up all the plant material that needed to go. They were on time, polite, and did exactly what we agreed on.

Excellent worker, worked hard all three hours without stop. Excellent job of weeding and tilling beds, trimming and bush removal to the roots.
