George and Jordan are extremely personable and gave us an immediate sense that they would address any concerns we have. After our previous pest service was quite passive, George immediately suggested pro-active measures to prevent rodent access to our home, without suggesting unnecessary equipment. We had to post-pone our appointment at the last minute, and George was tremendously flexible. 1st Choice Pest Control gives us a sense of personalized service, as it's a small business, and is up-front and open about cost estimates and recommendations. I recommend them highly.

They showed up on time for the inspection and every time we had an appointment for them to inspect the traps set. Everything was finished up quickly and all trash and debris was removed at the end of each day they were there.

George was prompt and listened to my concerns. He inspected under the house and found no water, dampness or termite problems. He suggested and gave me estimates for wells at some of the foundation vents and a crawl space entry that were lower than ground level. This would prevent possible future problems with water or dampness. The estimates seemed reasonable and I plan to have the work done as budget allows. I was impressed with his professionalism and honesty. I would definitely recommend his services to others.

We are very happy with George's honesty, service and reliability. The price quote that he gave us was much lower than other companies' prices, and his work was very thorough. During George's visit, he spent several hours inspecting and treating every nook and cranny of the house. Very customer-service oriented, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely do business with him again (we plan on doing the quarterly pest control as well as the annual termite inspection).

I called another company and they came out the same day and gave me a price but it was a little high. I had a kind of trust issue with them. 1ST Choice came the next day and did a check around the house and gave me a price. The price was a little higher than the other company but I got a discount since I was a member of Angie’s List. They spotted some termite damage that the other company did not. They did a good job of filling up holes and cleaning up. I was happy with their service.

It went very well. He was on time for the initial meeting to give us a quote. He was professional and yet friendly as well.

I have never had a home inspected for termites and decided it was not something I could do on my own. Bugs creep me out and I am not too eager to venture into crawl spaces. So I did the grown up thing and called in a professional. I made the call on Friday June 3rd and made an appointment for Tuesday June 7th. Considering the weekend, I felt that the turn around time was very impressive. When making my appointment I let them know I would be home all day. The person I spoke with was very professional and gave me realistic expectations for the date and time of my appointment. My original appointment was for 5pm but was informed it could possibly be earlier depending on what the earlier appointments entailed. The day of my appointment 1st choice called and asked if moving my time to 3pm would be alright, and having nothing else to do, I consented. He arrived right on time, in fact he may have been a few minutes early. The gentleman was very friendly and after exchanging a greeting he informed me of what to expect, what he would look for and where he would look. Then he disappeared under my house. The inspection seemed comprehensive, as he was under my house for quite a while poking and tapping here and there, which I could hear from my living room. When he came up I prepared myself for the worst. My home is near 70 years old and anything could feasibly be wrong with it. Expecting him to ask me for a convenient time to schedule a full service (as in my experience is usually the case with free consultations), I was surprised when he told me that the house was clear of termites. He went on to explain that there was some previous water damage in a few places that I may want to get checked out. After hearing the good news, I felt compelled to offer him lunch, a beverage or gas money which were all turned down. Overall I found 1st Choice Pest Control to be professional, punctual and most importantly, honest. They will be my first choice in the future should I have any other pest problems.

After purchasing a new home, we shopped around for the best termite/pest control services based on price and reputation. George came to the house and did a very thorough inspection of the entire crawl space, and explained what services were required in order to be on the company's protection plan, and what services he recommended and other options. He explained in detail the effects of treatment for different types of pests, specifically termites, powder post beetles, and rodents. George sent us a prompt estimate over a month ago, and followed up to discuss service options. He was insisted on a certain treatment based on price, but was very helpful in answering all my questions. We decided to go with 1st Choice because of George's professionalism and knowledge. George called the night before to confirm the appointment for service, as well as the morning of. He came with Mike, and the two quickly and efficiently performed their work. They were both courteous and friendly, and answered questions that I had about other pest-related issues. They advised me about solutions that I could purchase to deal with a few issues myself (spiders and moles), instead of pushing their service. George even went so far as to dust for spider webs on my porch and siding. I would recommend this company in the future, and plan on using them for future issues and work. Thank you.

I had three estimates done and I decided to actually hire him because he did a full inspection rather than just opening up my crawl space and shining a flashlight. He went right into the crawl space for about 10 minutes. He also went into my attic and traversed the whole attic to search for pests. We are having a carpet beetle problem and he was trying to find the source. He was looking for rodents or anything like that which could have been the source of it. He did quite an extensive look and that is why I decided to hire him. The other companies did not do that. He treated the fire ants twice. He came first and treated them and then came again the following week and destroyed the colonies. There were 7-8 fire ant colonies. We do not have any ant problems that I am aware of at the moment, but I can call him back and have him come out and treat if I find a problem between now and when he is supposed to come next.

Great. George (the owner) performed the service and was excellent. Very thorough and professional. He also treats my house for bugs and solved my ants in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend him. The treatment took 4-5 hours of hard work trenching and treating every column in my crawl space. Although, I only had termites in the mulch, I am going to stay in this area so I felt it was better to go ahead and protect my house. Great job & price, I have a ranch house and the layout is extremely large. Lastly, I used George because of Angie's list and I really feel that he cares about his customers. My last pest control company did not. Also, use the Angie's List discount.

George was on time and was professional. He performed a thorough inspection and found where they were coming from. He then performed the extermination. Since he had to go into the crawl space under the house, he provided pictures of what he found and informed me of some potential termite problems.

My interaction with them was good. They took a look around and were quite good with what they did, although I didn?t actually pay them to do anything. They came on time, and were professional and knowledgeable. They were a good place to start. The price seemed a little bit high because I don?t actually have termites. They saw no problems but they still offered to do the treatment. I would recommend them and would use them in the future if necessary.

They came out and sprayed our house for ants. We now have them come out every quarter to do additional spraying. We are pleased with their services. The work was really good. The man doing the spraying came out and was very good at explaining what he was doing. They called us beforehand to make sure we were going to be there. They were right on time and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pest control company.
